Huey P's Pizzeria & Daiquiris

I didn't see a recent review so I gave it a shot. It's right near the St. Bernard State Park which was convenient since I was camping right there. If you like cheese you'll love this place as it was drowning in cheese (I'd been fine with just a third of the cheese). The dough seemed like a cross between homemade bisquick and a run of the mill pizza dough. Mushrooms were tasty. 3 of us ate there with 2 sodas and one Daiquiri. Total cost was $24.00. Service was great! If you're in the area and don't want to drive into town you can fill up here.

Or at least it did for me. Huey P's started offering a fried chicken sandwich during this time, and naturally I had to try it.Huey P's has a drive-thru window. That's always worth noting for places that aren't fast food chains, and is especially noteworthy in a pandemic.The sandwich itself was quite good. It has a sizable chunk of chicken, well-fried and not dry. The sauce was good and the bun held up to the sandwich. My only quibble is that by default the sandwich comes with salad or fries while all I wanted was the sandwich itself, but I suppose that helps differentiate them from a fast food place.

Horrible pizza , dough, and everything thats related to that nightmare of a pizza I had from them . I understand the the location in gretna is supposedly serving a better product, but this mess down here in DA PARISH is not cutting it.... On a side note the hours are completely crazy .

Pulled up to order and ask about their breakfast and lunch times, was met with an older woman who seemed like she'd rather be doing anything else than answer my questions. Just short and not helpful, pulled away before ordering.

Great pizza and friendly staff! As a former new yorker/ pizza snob of sorts, on a scale from 1-10 for how close these pies are to nyc pizza I'd say this place comes in around a 7 which makes me happy. The dough thickness is 100% spot on but the cheese consistency is like a solid buffalo mozzarella cheese which can be a bit chewy, maybe blending it with some softer cheeses would be the secret weapon? Not saying it's a bad thing, just making an observation as I order from here all the time! Prices are also great for the portions and quality of pizza.

Convenient at best. Papa johns sells a better pizza and that's really saying something. Daiquiris we're super cold and tasted alright.

i was sadly disappointed in the pizza I got here. I had ordered a pizza and paid for some extra toppings. What i received was a pizza with almost zero sauce and all the toppings were just minuscule portions. The pizza dough was hard and tasted old. I would not go back.nor recomended to anyone.

service was good, my kids liked the cheese pizza and cheese sticks. I got shrimp pasta. It was a huge portion and good but I'd like a little more spice. My husband said the meat lovers was "okay". The frozen drinks are good and great price!

Pizza is worse than my homemade pizza. The pho is really good. Keep the pho coming, cut the pizza dough recipe please.

Our favorite food place in the parish! We've eaten here almost once a week or more since they've opened... it's that good! I would recommend my favorite dish but I have enjoyed everything I've had there from the pho, to pizzas, to bbq quesadillas, to salads, to egg rolls... you name it! I also recommend an ice cold Paradise Park or violation and pina colada mixed daiquiri.
