House of Seafood Buffet

The food is fresh and seems to be never ending. Our waitress (Kristen) was very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. Family style dining and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant may have been good in the past but I was very disappointed when we went on Thursday night Nov. 8th. I wish I would have read some of the recent Yelp reviews and saved a trip from Covington.The good:The waitresses are friendly. They have a large selection on the seafood buffet. Snow crab legs were ok not great.The only thing I liked was the sweet iced tea. Bad:Hush puppies were small & hard with no flavor.Gumbo not flavorful.Fried shrimp were very small shrimp & not great.Raw oysters were tiny & scarce. Only a few on the buffet & when they restocked they were gone in a flash.Charbroiled oysters were dried out and not hot.Fried fish (mystery fish) Mac n Cheese tastelessBanana pudding not like your mama made it.This buffet has a lot of food on it but I wouldn't go back, not even for free.I would be willing to pay more if the quality was better.

A lot of the food seems like it was rushed to be prepared. I went on a Saturday so I can understand that this is a busier day for them, some of the shrimp dishes were overcooked, the crabs were good because they were fresh as well as the crawfish. I did try a raw oyster and it was very fresh so it may just be the cooked food the ambience of the place reminds you of a food hall, wasn't the worst place I ever ate, but it also wasn't the best.

We visited our first time on a Thursday at 4pm. We arrived early and there were lots of seating available. Dining filled up quickly around 5pm. Female blue crabs were full of eggs and seasoned perfectly. My husband ate the crawfish and really liked them. Tara was our server and we couldn't ask for better service. Definitely will return.

Straight up feeding troth. Horrible food quality. And it was $40 a person. All seafood inedible due to amount of salt. Most of the food served on crusty sheet trays. I lost it when I saw hot dogs sliced up with bbq sauce on them. Neverrrr again!! I get nauseous thinking about it

Absolutely not recommend this place, has horrible food and the SMELL was awful.Prices were to high for the food to be so bad. 100$ dollars for two people is insane. There is no improving this place unless you start from the bottom up.

They try hard at the House of Seafood but they are ok at best. I could name so many seafood restaurants that are better than them, but this is a buffet. I have not been here in about 25 years and I now understand why. The food is not inexpensive at $28.00 per person & drink of $3.00, our bill came up to $108.00 for 3 persons. The people do a good job making the food is kept full & drink are also full. This is a place to try but not eat here all the time. It is a BIG place.

Not to far for a very good buffet of seafood and southern cooking I've never got around to deserts feeled up on all the good seafood and the prices is very very good thank you so much for all the good food and service.

one of the best seafood restaurants in the South. I haven't been in a while, but while waxing nostalgic is makes me glad I patronized them.

While the crabs were well seasoned, the price is high and we still left hungry. Most other options looked picked over and like they had been sitting out. The staff was friendly. Overall for the price and its location, I would have preferred somewhere with more substance for dinner.
