Looking for some hot sauce? Look no further! This is the one and only stop you should ever make even it comes to hot sauce. They got hot sauce for days! Hot sauce you'd have to sign a waiver to try, and yes they let you try all kinds of hot sauce.

I came here when in the area to get some hot sauces for my husband. This is more than a shop, it's an experience. You go around tasting different sauces and comparing them to others. It's awesome. Plus, if you taste test, you know what you are getting into when you buy something. The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. As I was tasting and talking to them, the staff expertly pointed me in the right direction for what I wanted and my tastes. You can also get other great items here, so you aren't totally limited to hot sauce. They have some great spices as well. House of Pepper is definitely a spot to check out!

I've stayed at the House of the rising sun now the Hotel Convento and been to concerts at the House of Blues. I figured it was about time to go to the House of Pepper. I was unprepared for the grandeur of this house as I walked in I was immediately confronted with the largest hot sauce bar I've ever seen. Not wanting to fry my inside yet as I was going to go to dinner and have some fried oysters, I only tried three of the various hot sauces that were on display. No mind that had not spent many summers in the dulsatory heat and humidity of New Orleans could have come up with the variety of hot sauces as The Peppers. Most of the peppery concoctions hail from New Iberia where I spent a few days as a teenager. This hot joint has wonderful murals dedicated to some NOLA great musical artists and its fun just to wander around the store even if you are weak of stomach. Bring your cast iron stomach and a cooling system to begin your journey through this grand House. Take some devilishly tasty heat and NOLA love home with you.

So many options! We bought a Cajun seasoning and a French quarter seasoning ($14.99 each), as well as a southwest dip mix ($4.99). I love that everything they sell is set up for tasting around the store. Our friends bought the blueberry BBQ and the Key Lime BBQ. Both were good when sampled, but a little vinegary. They ship their products, too- $5 shipping regardless of the size of the order.

Hot Sauce Galore: We are hunters of the hottest hot sauces, and would love to find a bottle that could keep us coming back for more.We stumbled across this shop as we were exploring the French Quarter. It's a tasting bar for all things spicy. They have boxes of tortilla chips in which you can dip into the various hot sauces along the isles to try for your liking. Beware, things can heat up pretty quickly. My husband's forehead started to perspirate after the third tasting. We ended up purchasing the Reaper Hot Sauce [roughly $28 per bottle].Really neat to learn about the differences in hot sauces (i.e., where the peppers were raised, ingredients that attribute to its uniqueness, etc.). The clerks are more than willing to enlighten you with their hot sauce knowledge!

The lady behind the counter was super nice and interactive with everyone who was at the store. When we walked in we saw some other customers sampling the ghost pepper hot sauces, and she offered some to us too. It was so fun to try what we could (which wasn't much since your mouth ends up burning the more you try) but it was a great experience to laugh with others :)

Sooo I must confess that I am a hot sauce connoisseur and love all things spicy. Yep. Even a jalapeño in my margarita. I have a hobby of collecting hot sauce and spices from all the different countries and places I visit. So when I stumbled upon the House of Pepper I definitely couldn't pass without venturing in and I'm so glad I did. Ms. Monica was exceptional!! I wish I could've taken her home with me. She was so warm and welcoming. You know how you can just look at someone and tell they can throw down in the kitchen? Yep. That's her. I told Ms. Monica that I wanted whatever seasoning, sauces, and spices that she has in her kitchen. There were way too many options to choose from and a lot of the selections could probably be found in your local grocery store in the south but I'm a Houston native currently residing in DC where the food isn't as seasoned to what I'm accustomed to. I just had to bring a few things home with me. I also loved that I was able to sample and taste items before purchasing. This is definitely a must visit!

This place housed a lot of hot sauces! I enjoy the various kinds and broad selection. It is also just a fun stopping tour spot. There are a few where you have to sign a waiver to try it out!

As we walked by we couldnt help but dare each other to try some of the hottest sauces. There were so many flavors & levels of "Oh SH*+". It didn't take long to walk through & set our tongues on fire.I recommend entering & start taste testing on the right side because thats were the mild flavors start. Slowly work your way around counter clockwise. We must have tried at least a dozen different jams, sauces & forms of hotness. & not once were we pressured to buy anything. Chips are provided, so dig in, but be careful. Some sauces do not (but should) say " hey dont be dumb or dont put this in your mouth" they burn...a lot. & they are not fun when you eat a mouthful cuz you think your the man. Theres nothing manly about having to stop to the side because your sweating & practically tearing.

Very eccentric place to go for your taste buds to go on a worldly adventure from sweet to tangy to fire lava on your tongue but has flavor with it as well however my grandma was not happy with the extremely hot sauce as but did I mention I tricked her to trying it?! Lol
