We stumbled upon this place in the way back home to get a quick lunch before the kiddos' nap time. It's a great local lunch spot where all the locals come to eat. It has quite a few tables and menus to grab and order at the register. They had wonderful handheld options, fresh fruit as a side option and drinks in a can or bottle for purchase. We had a few different sandwiches to try and fruit as a side so my toddler could enjoy. Great lunch spot!

I miss the old Horn's, but I'm glad they're still around offering much of the same food, and with some of the same staff. The only reason I don't get there more often is my work schedule. But when I can, I love to grab breakfast here. They've always been vegetarian friendly. At the new place, you order at the counter and then have a seat, and they'll take care of you. I recommend the grilled vegetables and grits. My favorite dish is something I hope they bring back, which was some type of warm spinach pudding. I don't know how to describe it, but it was one of the best things in New Orleans.

Hole in the walls do not get better than Horn. The ambiance is cute. It's a little out of touristy NOLA, and there is free parking! We were looking for a fun brunch place. We had the expresso fused chai (dirty chai), chicken and waffles, and the crabby wife. It was all excellent!

The perfect healthy, fresh breakfast that I needed after a long night of fun. Cute place in an old house. You order at the counter and coffee is self serve which I enjoyed. Their menu is diverse from decadent to vegan options. The best part of my visit was the sweet man at the register. Horn's has great vibes. Very glad we made this stop on our trip.

We were staying in Faubourg-Marigny and tried a few different breakfast spots. This one might have been our favorite. We were drawn by the "Jewish Coonass (ie, Cajun)" dish: Crawfish etouffee over a potato latke, with eggs and spinach and a biscuit. It did not disappoint, and we figured we wouldn't find this anywhere else. Also got a pumpkin waffle, suggested by a local waiting for her takeout order, which was yummy. The vibe is super homey and unpretentious, decorated with funky art, staffed by friendly locals. And the coffee was so good we got a bag to take home. If you're looking for fine china, this is not the place, but we loved the food and the ambiance. If it hadn't been closed Wednesdays (the day we left), we might have gone back for seconds.

What a cute, casual brunch spot in the Marigny that exudes the local neighborhood charm. Tons of artwork everywhere inside. Plenty of street parking. You order and pay for your food first, then seat yourself and they will bring your food to you. There are paper menus at the register to help yourself to, as well as a chalkboard on the wall that lists some additional menu items. I decided to go with the Huevos Rancheros ($13.50) which consists of 2 eggs (I got over easy), black beans, salsa, cream cheese, avocado and plantains. They have a drinking water station where you can get yourself your own glass. They had tables both inside and outside, and we were able to seat ourselves at a table indoors that accommodated our large party of 8. Staff brought out our food at a leisurely pace. The highlight of the Huevos Rancheros was definitely the plantains and I wish there were more than 2 on the plate! Wasn't a huge fan of the salsa -- tasted like generic chunky salsa with zero spiciness. It's a very wet dish that I'm not even sure came with tortillas or any starchy element -- it might have been so soggy I couldn't tell? So just a heads up because I felt like I was eating something with more of a porridge/stew consistency. Staff was quick to bus our tables as we neared the end of our meal. Overall a nice, quaint spot to unwind and have a casual breakfast or lunch if you're in the area.

Horrible. This morning's visit is the last time we will ever eat at Horn's. We were excited to treat our out of town visitors to an authentic brunch. It was terrible. First they forgot our order. We had to track them down to find out about our food. Seriously, people who came in after us were eating and leaving. During our long wait for food, they ran out of etouffee for the majority of our order, put fried chicken on the crabby wife (crab cake/etouffee Benedict). The sauce was soupy. The grits and etouffee was served with just crawfish. No sauce at all. The grits were from the bottom of the pot, not cooked, and lumpy. All this happened after we had ordered so that our orders showed up at the table as something completely different. They could have at least come and shared their shortages so that we could have changed our order. I guess because they had lost our order, they decided on their own to wing it. Sad day. We will never return. Miss the old location too. Go to Katies.
