A shopping treasure on the Westbank, especially if you are searching for those hard-to-find Asian products (most abundant choices: Vietnamese, Chinese, Latin-American, but they have a good selection of Middle Eastern, Japanese and Indian items as well). This is a vegan paradise, as they have my beloved tofu skin (yuba), soy curls, all the tofu varieties you could ever want and a variety of fake meats, wheat gluten goodies and even vegan jerky. Prices are impressively low. It's been over 10 years since my last review and the market has grown so much. We spent an hour in here today and noticed they have a good sake collection, as well as Asian beers. Boba/tapioca pearls, teas, coffees, spices, desserts... an entire aisle devoted to soup bases, noodles, dried mushrooms! Pinch me, because I think I'm dreaming. I'm in hot chile heaven. There was one thing that my husband wanted that we couldn't find. One of the sweetest ladies at the cash register tried her best to help, even with a slight language barrier we were able to show her the product (dried bonito flakes). She showed him dried squid but that wasn't quite the same thing. I think they have less Japanese products, not really a big deal at all. We so appreciated her kind efforts.Bonus: the cute statue collection by the entrance! Buddhas, lucky cats... even Hello Kitty herself is represented. Consider this market for unique gifts. They even sell Cafe du Monde coffee!

A store that has a good selection of fish. The y do a thorough job of cleaning your fish. Nice layout to the store. Clean and well lit Will patronize again.

I grabbed a couple desserts last night and decided to open them up this morning to eat with my coffee and there is mold all over and you can see it from dirty hands. I will never buy any more handmade foods from the Hong Kong market. it's really disgusting. You can tell somebody just had grimy dirty bacteria filled hands And packaged everything so I imagine it's all moldy or you're gonna end up with diarrhea so I do not recommend ever eating their homemade snacks.

As an update to my previous review from years ago. I recently spent the summer traveling I am positively ecstatic now that may of the coffees and teas I was buying in Singapore, Indonesia and Japan are available at Hong Kong Market! So many options here and my biggest problem now is I can't buy them all!

Excellent variety of Asian foods! It is also a very large store, but not H-Mart huge. I'd go back for sure! There is also a Korean BBQ in the same building... delicious!

Went there to shop for hot pot ingredients. Not a lot of hot pot soup base options, you're better off ordering off of Amazon. No shaved meat selections for hot pot. If you're looking for shaved meat, you can buy from the Korean BBQ restaurant from next door, K-Town. Great fruit selections! There's not a lot of variety in vegetables, but good eneough for everyday cooking. Good variety of fresh fish. We were looking for some fresh clams, but only found frozen. The cashier we had was not friendly. Basically just threw our groceries around. I don't mind lol but someone else might

It's a very nice Asian supermarket. It has a lot of things you can't find anywhere in the city. I really love the fresh veggies they have. They are not expensive there

I love the Honk Kong Market! They have so many items that I haven't seen elsewhere (at least in New Orleans). Some of my favorite pickups this trip were kimchi dumplings and longan berries. I also bought a whole jackfruit for the first time. They have such a big selection of food and produce! There were long lines but I went grocery shopping on a Saturday so that's on me. Such a big store!I also love that they have a bubble tea and banh mi shop in the entrance; it's a great treat after shopping!

This store sold us bad eggs. We tried to return them and the store refused. the eggs literally had maggots coming out of it. will definitely be going to the other Asian markets in Marrero and Metairie. Avoid at all costs.
