My favorite BBQ in Baton Rouge! We usually pick up some pulled pork or brisket from here if we are bringing food for a potluck. Their brisket grilled cheese and brisket quesadillas are what I rotate between when I go. Seating is limited, and they also have a window you can walk up to and pick up to go orders.

Daaaangggg! This place is legit. The pulled pork is superb, but the corn bread pudding ( I had never even heard of this) put it over the top.Everyone who works there seemed efficient and kind. I was impressed!

The service was really good. The smoked wings were too dry for me. The vinegar based sauce and ranch are really good. The Mac and cheese did nothing for me. Tasted very bland and I was really looking forward to it since it's made with Gouda. The okra was fried nicely. I've heard positive things, so I'll return to try something else.

Hannah Q is the best bbq in Baton Rouge! I've tried everything from the brisket, ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, the red beans and sausage, and the candied yams! Most recently last night, my husband and I ordered some takeout for dinner because it's Thanksgiving week and we needed a quick bite! He ordered a brisket sandwich and I ordered the brisket quesadilla with jalapeños! OMG, the flavor and tenderness of the meat! The chefs know exactly what they are doing. This restaurant is the most consistent bbq I've had in a long time! Next time we'll take pictures before we devour our food!

The food is delicious and the portions of protein are large enough to share! We spend under $40 bucks and we're able to walk out with leftovers! The young man who took our order suggested the Smoked Gouda Mac and also the Beans. Both were delicious! My husband got a brisket sandwich and I got the mixed Brisket plate! 10/10 recommend coming here during lunch or for dinner with friends or family when they are truly hungry! The seating is a bit limited but just as quickly as you need a seat someone is gettingYou will leave very happy and pleased!

Hannah Q has the best wings in Baton Rouge. Before you excoriate me or that statement above, let me explain. I love smoked wings. Besides brisket and jalapeno cheese sausage, they are my favorite smoked food. Hannah Q does a wonderful job with theirs and I would rank them only slightly behind Blue Oak in Nola.Hanah Q is located on the now reduced-capacity Government Street. It used to be my go-to shortcut but the traffic is awful thanks to the geniuses who came up with the road diet. But I digress. The point of this rant is to suggest you get here early. Waiting till 12 or later may mean a traffic jam.Ordering is done here at the counter and delivered to your table. The wings come whole so plan on some disassembly at your table. If you are at work, like I always am when I come here, you will need to wash your hands extra well. You will also need to eat with co-workers who won't say anything as you get your hands dirty eating wings. The wings are smokey, juicy, and packed with bbq flavor. I do not think they fry after smoking but if they do, it doesn't ruin the wing. I do not like overcooked or super crispy wings. I like smoked wings and Hannah Q delivers. These are legit good. If you like blue cheese with your wings, their version is different than the typical one and is also great. I don't know what makes it different but you will know what I mean when you order it.The brisket is among the best I have had in Baton Rouge. BR does not have a lot of good BBQ so it is nice to get real brisket here. My one complaint with Hannah Q is the sauce. It is way too sweet. I believe they make a mustard or vinegar-based one but it is not on the tables. Ask for it when you get there. If you are in BR and want BBQ, check out Hannah Q.

This is a review of my second experience. My first meal was great, so I suggested this to my mother in law. She got the 1/4 chicken, sausage, and ribs. I got the ribs and brisket. When I ate my ribs, they were tough and hard to cut into, like the membrane was still on the bone. The brisket (marbled) was amazing. My MIL said the chicken was not cooked all the way through and I felt like the ribs could've been cooked longer as well. We both got the loaded potato salad, which was amazing. Customer service was great. I was just a little embarrassed telling her this was the best bbq in Baton Rouge.

Ordered a combo online and paid including a tip. They were out of unsweet tea which I ordered at 7:50 p.m. Was offered sweet tea only to be out of that as well. Can't drink soft drinks so was told i'm sorry the combo is the same price as ordering without a drink. I regret tipping in advance online.

I love the Smoked Chicken and Gouda Mac-n-Cheese at Hannah Q. I've tried the brisket but to me, it isn't as flavorful as the chicken. The service is always great. The last time I went, there was an issue with our order that made it take a little longer than expected and they went above and beyond to accommodate our wait time without us even having to mention it.
