The experience was AMAZING, the food was beyond delicious and the kindness and care of the team there was unmatched. I love the history and the love behind the food. If I'm ever in New Orleans again I'll def be back! The atmosphere was so relaxed too!

I think these are my favorite in the city. What can you say it's a poboy done right at a simple little neighborhood joint. My wife and I just get a large surf and turf and share it. It's so good. The shrimp is seasoned just right and the roast beef is juicy and tender. Put that on a leidenheimer roll fully dressed and you're good to go.We measure poboys by napkins used to eat it and this is a 5 napkin sammich.

Guy has a great poboy. A big one too. I got a small and it was so big I could only laugh when I saw them bring out my friends large. Shout out to guys wife. Shrimp was nice and crispy and fresh tasting. Only knock is the bread may have been a little tough. The gumbo was pretty good too. Everyone here was really nice and felt like a place the locals are going to in this neighborhood.

Guys is the less quirky choice for po-boys in the Jefferson City (Jefferson Avenue) area of Uptown. The two standouts are roast-beef and shrimp. The roast beef is not as gravy-laden as some other shops (notably Parkway), but still delicious. The fried shrimp, a house specialty, is perfect. One time I saw a sliced turkey po boy in the hands of a one of our dining party. Looked good. Would never order, because even when I'm feeling like something new the allure of roast-beef or shrimp (but not both at the same time, please!) wins my order. For drinks there's the usual cooler or a big cup of brewed ice tea from behind the counter. Guy's clientele I suspect is more local than Domilese's, which is about as on-the-nose old-line New Orleans corner restaurant and bar as it gets, and has attracted tourists seeking same. (Nothing wrong with that; we love y'all). But then again, Guy's is also on a corner and their old sign that was buried for years under a modern awning is back out in the open; it's also the real thing.

Awesome Poboy spot.I went on a Saturday around lunch time so it was pretty busy. The staff was really nice and it was worth the wait. The owner was there making the sandwiches and he was really cool as well. It's a small building with only a few tables in the dining area but it is about what you expect out of a poboy spot. The sandwich itself was amazing and the shrimp was cooked and fried perfectly. Will definitely be coming here more often!

Pretty great Poboys, a bit pricey compared to any other spot in the city where you can get a poboy combo under $13.. service was great, very friendly, quaint space, but definitely nice to sit in when you have time.

Disappointed ---We heard this place is great so made our way down Magazine. I am sorry to say , we wanted to LOVE it... We got shrimp po boys and both felt like the bread wasn't as fresh as it should be. The shrimp weren't hot but most importantly, the fries were NOT hot...that is the easiest thing to get right in a restaurant. And please someone tell me why you are asked to tip when you stand at a counter and order and when it's ready (be prepared for a wait) they call your name and YOU go pick it up at the counter.

A good poboy spot. I'm not local to this area but happened to be here during lunch time. Po boys are good. It's a small kitchen environment which is cute. I personally didn't like the way the bread was two separate pieces but I can move past that. It was served quick enough but my issue was the price. 41$ dollars for 2 poboys is a lot. I can find cheaper poboys of the same quality closer to me, and would thus not recommend this spot unless it was all that was available at the time.
