Sweetest people ever that work! Food was amazing! I got the chicken fried steak, gravy on the side with a salad and mashed potatoes! Everything was delicious! My bf got a burger and fries! He was having a rough day and the ladies picked up on that and made him smile and laugh!

Living in Southern Louisiana can often be a curse, especially if you are trying to eat healthy some of the time. More and more restaurants are adding healthy items to their menus, but these are more the exception rather than the rule.It had been nearly a decade since I travelled as far south as Port Fourchon and a lot has changed. But the one thing that has not changed is my appetite, as the 12 o clock rumble in my stomach was calling out to me.I was meeting a coworker in our Galliano office and he suggested that we eat at Rose's Cafe Inc. Not knowing the area at all, and he being a lifelong native of the Houma / Morgan City / Galliano areas, I trusted his opinion. The restaurant was in an unassuming metal structure. The inside was slightly dated, but not in a bad way at all. The restaurant had an open floor concept and was modestly decorated. The ceiling was sheathed in corrugated "tin" panels that added a rustic feel to the place and the home made lighting fixtures made of chicken wire wrapped in sheet metal even worked for me. The walls were covered from floor to ceiling in varnished horizontally arranged wooden plank panels, and there was a big screen LCD television in the front. There were approximately 20 tables with seating for 75-100 people and every table featured Cut Off's own "Wow Wee Dipping Sauces"; which I sampled just for the heck of it (pretty good stuff). There was a central bar for the wait staff to get sodas, tea or alcohol and there was a small but adequately stocked salad bar near the rear of the restaurant. Even though the salad bar was small, the ingredients and dressings were all fresh.Judging on how packed the restaurant was, it was obviously very popular with the locals. Trying to be somewhat responsible in my eating, I opted for the grilled shrimp salad. The salad had at least 2 dozen shrimp, a hard boiled egg, tomatoes and shredded cheese on top of a bed of shredded lettuce. I'm glad that I was able to pick any dressing I wanted from the salad bar, and chose a caesar style vinaigrette that looked and tasted home made to me.One of my co workers had an open faced roast beef sandwich that looked solid and the other had the bowl of gumbo, which I regret not ordering. The roux was very dark and it was chock full of meat. I didn't get a taste, but by the way he sopped up every drop of juice with his French bread, I knew it had to be good. Mental note to self to get the gumbo the next time I go.Our waitress was very nice and attentive and kept my iced tea glass full, even though she had several tables. The food came out quickly and was definitely fresh. I can definitely say that this place is worth trying. Can't wait to update my review with my next visit.

We were headed to Grand Isle and were in search of lunch and took a chance on this place. From the outside it looked at best like a questionable choice but once inside it was great. Interesting local menu, I had the fish sandwich and it was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of "dressed". Fried onion rings also very good. Service was very good as well. Its filled in locals and well worth the stop if your passing thru.

Rose's was much better than I expected! The building's exterior really doesn't do the interior any justice. I think it was recently remodeled. Everything was clean and there was plenty of things to study on the wall while we waited for our food.I ordered a philly cheesesteak and paired it with sweet tea and twisted garlic potatoes...aka little bits of heaven. The philly was ok, but the garlic twist things were a standout. They also have daily plate lunch specials that include the salad bar. Our waitress was efficient and friendly, the food all came out at the same time and was hot and tasty. I'll be back to try the more traditional cajun items on the menu.

Not fancy, but the food was very good and at a reasonable price. Would definitely go there again if I'm in the area. Really enjoyed the fried green beans appetizer and my shrimp poboy.

Stopped in for lunch and had the special. I'm a pulled pork snob, but oh my that was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while! It was half a bbq pulled pork sandwich with fries and a large chunk of chocolate cake! Absolutely amazing! Clean, friendly and delicious! I will certainly be coming back!

Awesome place. I've been going since they were in old spot north of current location. As stated in other reviews don't judge a book by its cover. Great food. Friendly people and inexpensive.
