Great American Cookies

I come to this spot often. Whenever I visit any mall I usually look forward to grabbing a slice of cookie cake (I love chocolate and the slice with the chocolate icing is my favorite). This review is for the WestbAnk, Oakwood Mall location. The slices of cookie cake are more expensive than the other cookies, but with reason - because these are more delicious! Taste test and you will see that there is a significant difference in the flavor of cookie cake and just the cookies. Any who, service is always very fast. The employees behind the counter are always busy at work but quickly respond to fulfill your order. I've always had good service here, which it's a quick enough visit so your service really shouldn't be anything less than good. Also, in malls and stores with many less experienced workers, you often get inconsistent customer service for so many reasons, but my service here has always been good. Lastly, my most recent experience with this shop was ordering my daughter a cake at the last minute... literally maybe 1 hour before I needed it. I called and ordered over the phone because there was a mix up with my original baker and I was running errands preparing for a party, now with no cake. 1. They answered the phone. This hasn't been an issue for me in the past either. 2. The young lady who answered was polite and patient with me. 3. My order for a cake was taken over the phone without the need for prepayment. 4. The young lady offered me suggestions on colors and designs, told me what was available and what wasn't available (they were out of the largest cookie cakes). 5. She verified the name and writing I wanted on the cake and promised it would be ready within an hour. 6. When I arrived in an hour, my cake was ready and it was exactly what I didn't know I wanted lol! Also, there were many freshly made cookie cake orders, so I was very happy and appreciative that she took my order along with those and not only fit it into their busy schedule, but also had it ready for me on time! So, I've always rated them top quality and good at customer service, but this experience warranted a review. I wish I could remember the young ladies name who helped save the day! I know I could have grabbed a cake from Rouses, but Great American Cookie Cakes are one of kind! For those who don't care for chocolate, there is a variety of cookies and treats, yes mostly chocolate but not all. There are also a few Icee flavors! The kids love to get icees when we go here. The only other place I can usually find icees is at the movies so this is a nice spot for a cold, delicious treat. Lastly, there are often great coupons and promotions to get discounted cookies from here, which is helpful because these cookies are kind of expensive. But you 1. Get what you pay for and 2. Aren't really supposed to be eating this every day anyway! It's a luxury treat, so the price point is understandable. Hands down Great American has the most delicious cookie cake. I don't know what their trade secret is on this recipe, but I surely hope the company doesn't change the recipe at all!

Bought a groupon for a 12inch cookie cake. $14 for the groupon is half price and came in handy because the SO doesn't like cake and tomorrow is his birthday! This will be a perfect surprise for him. I will definitely give props to groupon because I would have never thought to use this company and I am really glad I did. Called last night at 9pm and picked up today at 4pm!

Stopped by the cookie counter today! Now that I have a two year old, I have an excuse for stopping here and getting cookies all the time, you know cause she wants cookies and all, not me........ my favorite, the classic chocolate chip cookie with M&M's atop. Ive been coming here for years, and I cannot ever remember having a problem, just enjoying many delicious cookies, and let us not forget, COOKIE CAKES!!!!! BOTTOM LINE: COOOOOOOOOOKIES!!!!!!!!!!

The frosted cookies here are awesome. It's like a personal-sized cookie cake. I do detest that they don't have their prices out, and the prices depend entirely on the person selling them. Sometimes they're $2 and sometimes they're $4! But the cookies make up for it.

Bought a cookie cake for my son's 37th birthday. Not only is the cookie fantastic but April was a terrific help!! Absolutely recommended!!

Yummy gooey cooks. My husband loves this place every time we go to the mall he has to get a cookie from there. I was empress also!

Service was really lacking and they simply did not want to fix their mistakes. These cookie cakes are way too expensive for it to not be what you want.... Would not go back here

I got 5 cookies to get one free and the supposed Macadamia nut cookie had no macadamia nuts, tasted like coconut but the best part was A GREY WAVY HAIR I HAD IN MY MOUTH! I pulled out a 3" HAIR Stuck in the cookie I was eating!! How Disgusting is That! I can't wait til they open to Complain!!
