Just a small ol' fashioned joint right off of LA-1 that everyone local talks about. Order at the window and if "dining", there's a few picnic tables around the building which only is the kitchen. Went ahead and got the double cheeseburger and onion rings. Was not disappointed...the burger was splendid besides the fact that they build it downside up. Onion rings were not my absolute favorite but they were good nonetheless. French fries were salt-less but still good! Paid $28 I think for 3 burgers, 2 sides and a drink. Definitely recommend

Good food and fast. We enjoyed our sandwiches and fries. The people were very pleasant and helpful since it was our first time ever trying them. They had free calendars for customers and some had discounts included for free food.

Apparently my cousin, Eric, owns the joint now. The Goal Post was a family favorite my entire life. I moved to Baton Rouge, Washington DC, and have been in the San Francisco Bay Area for more years than my early life in Raceland. I love cooking and am considered by friends and family to be a "foodie" (term I hate). I am not a snob tho and I know where I come from. And whenever I visit the Bayou at least one trip to the Goal Post is REQUIRED. I don't know if the burgers and po boys are mostly nostalgia for me, but nothing compares. The messy poboys, the simple cheeseburger, the perfect shake. So happy this business continues. The best damn thing about Raceland IS the Goal Post!

I've eaten here three times. The first time I got the crab-cake sandwich but I wasn't a fan of that. But then I tried to Cajun burger. Yummy, yummy, I've got love in my tummy--". Next time I get it I'm going to get it with an extra pastry. But it's great. Then I got the cheeseburger. Just a regular cheeseburger and I loved it too. So this is a small town hidden gem. Come on down and eat!

Love is the special ingredient, baw! You hungry? Want to be satisfied? This spot will never disappoint. Call ahead to save time! Pay at the window & they will wave when your order is ready. This place has been around my whole life. My sister and brother live out of state. We eat on the bayou side when it's pretty weather, every time they come to town. The view does not disappoint either. Don't forgett to order a banana shake made with real bananas!!! Or any dessert.Enjoy

A classic hole-in-the wall hamburger stand! And I mean that in a very good way. Great hamburgers, love the roast beef pó-boys, very sloppy just like I love them. Every thing is prepared as you order it, no heat lamp sandwiches and the staff are always pleasant!

I'm done. I loved this place. But holy crap an hour to get an order. And after you tell me 20-30 minutes on the phone. People don't have that long to wait. And it's fine if you have a piece of paper on the window explaining you're not fast food. But if you can't get the order out in 20-30 then don't say it. People are thinking they have time to come get it and eat it before getting back to where they need and they don't. This is the third time so it's not like I'm writing this after my first time of experiencing this. It's every time now. So, that's it, not coming back.

Great burger. Extensive menu. Waited over 30 mins though. It's not fast food. But is worth the wait. I will go back when in the area. Food is to go though there are tables outside if you opt to eat on location
