Gino's Restaurant

We cannot say enough about Ginos. Atmosohere was wonderful. Its a bit noisy so not a quite date night but a great family atmosphere! , wine and drinks were great. Food was wonderful. We had a large party with reservations and everyones food was wonderful. Favorite were the arancine, seafood cannoloni, chicken fettuccine and all the drinks! Mama Gino has some wonderful wine pics! Shout out to Michael our waiter who was top notch.

Some of the best food that I have had at a restaurant, (anywhere). I have visited hundreds of eateries across America and Europe, so that is a significant statement. Gino's has a wonderful website so I didn't see a reason to add pictures. Do yourself a favor and visit the website then make a reservation and experience this amazing Italian restaurant.

Expensive for what it is, but it's good Italian food in the Baton Rouge area. I got the Italian Sausage meal (sauce and sausage not pictured) with a Caprese Salad to go, and it was $40, which I thought was very expensive for the portion size.The noddles, sausage and sauce were amazing. It comes with two sausage links and tons of sauce. Even though I had it to-go, I feel like I still got the delicious quality of food. I wish there was more for the price.. I feel like it was only a cup of noodles, but oh well. The Caprese Salad was average but only two pieces. I did like the thickness of the cheese though.I ordered and within 25 minutes it was ready to go. You have to walk to the bar to pick up to-go orders, and this gives you a chance to see the restaurant. I liked this because most restaurants have you pick up to-go orders at the front, so you aren't able to see the resturant. It's an old Italian vibe with fireplaces and a dark lighting inside.Very authentic Italian, just wish portion sizes were bigger because I was still hungry after.

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Super upbeat atmosphere with authentic Italian food that is a local go to for a very long time. You'll be very happy when you leave here.If you want real Italian food and great atmosphere. Authentic Baton Rouge - this is it.

My favorite place in the entire city. Great food. I really mean great, the red sauce is killer! Best service in the city hands down. Little lady at the host stand always so polite and helpful. Very nice people here. I love to come here for lunch but the Night ambiance here is unmatched for the Baton Rouge area. I Love this place and when I move away I will miss it. Worth coming back here for.

Best Italian food. I've been going there since I was a baby. Now I get to take my baby. He loves it as much as I do. Cricket is always our server. He's the best. You will not be disappointed in anything you order.

Owned by the same family for years! It was one of Nick Saban's favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge for a reason! The food is phenomenal along with the service

Quaint ambience, old Italian feel so you know the food is good. Owners are hard workers.

I went back to Gino's after years away and was disappointed. They could not find my reservation, which was twice confirmed by phone. Service was prompt and responsive. My grilled fish was overcooked and mushy--probably from being frozen--and sat in a pool of oil. The appetizer salad was small and mostly white lettuce parts. Others in our party were okay with their selections, including a beautiful beef filet. I was not so lucky.

This place is it! The food and service were both out the park! I wish I had taken more pictures, but the appetizer and entree of breaded veal with eggplant covered in monzarella was delicious. To top it off we had the lemoncello cake...amazing!
