Easy walking distance from my hotel. Casual- tables and bar seating. I ordered a Purple Haze Beer, cup of jambalaya, and the Cajun Penne Pasta.Service was very fast, friendly, and attentive. The food was excellent. The jambalaya was just spicy enough and had a good rice to sauce/meat ratio. The Cajun penne pasta was one of the most delicious things I've ever had. A lot of flavor in the sauce, fresh shredded parm, chunks of chicken and andouille. The bread on the side was also crisp and had a lot of flavor.I would most definitely recommend and return.

huuuuge portions!! decent food, but everything was super fried and my stummy was tired of it midway through lol. I preferred green beans hoping to add some healthy greens to the meal but it tasted super buttery or greasy idk it was just a lot. the char grilled oysters were NOT what I was expecting though. they were severely covered in cheese, like it was a cheese dish with the oyster as a bonus when I imagined it would be the other way around. couldn't stomach it (and I love cheese lol).first gumbo experience tho & it was poppin'.

So good we ate here twice! The restaurant is very close to bourbon street and service was very good. The only item we didn't like was the garlic bread. The po boy was overflowing with shrimp and had an excellent roll. Prices very reasonably. Ambiance was lacking but it is mardi gras season and every restaurant is busy.

Absolute must go to place when in NOLA! The city has tons of hidden and gems and we are just so happy we came across this place for a bite. No waiting in line and we were sat pretty quick! Server provided us great service with extensive menu that made it hard to choose what we wanted. Everything looked so delicious! Galliers' Special and Cajun Pasta was a big hit! 3 different types of oysters definitely worth trying and bang for your buck! Mind you, those two dishes alone is good enough to share amongst 3 people comfortably. With 2 of us, we were full at the end. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

My party of four had hours before flying back to our realities [*sigh!* Vackay (almost) over!] And this trip wasn't going to be complete without doing one last oyster run! (SIDE NOTE: Goal was to have oysters everyday we were in NOLA.) It was pretty much around the corner from our hotel so it was convenient. We were initially disappointed at first because we were only given the breakfast menus, so we assumed, they weren't serving lunch just yet. That disappointment quickly disappeared when we were told by our servers that even if it is early, they also are serving lunch. She asked if we wanted menus for that to which we immediately replied with a resounding YES PLEASE! We have been to plenty of eateries in the French Quarter, but this is the only place that serves oysters 4 different ways in one order, so we went for that! GALLIER'S SPECIAL: Three each of charbroiled, Rockefeller, creole and raw oysters. The first three kinds were served first along with crackers, lemon and bread. We used the bread to soak up the seasoned butter. My favorite was the charbroiled because the toppings didn't really take away the flavor of the oysters. The Rockefeller had a slightly different topping but also good. The creole had a kick to it. But all were delicious in their own right. Raw oysters were freshly shucked and delish! SOFT SHELL CRAB PLATTER: I haven't had anything soft shell crab since I came through this city (I was sorta steering away from it since it's something I can find back home) but since I was already here, went for this plate. A little disappointing, I'll say. The batter was way too thick for me to appreciate the crab. The fries would have been better if it stayed in the frier a few seconds longer but the salad was a good palate cleanser. "Meh" at best.FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 3.5. Our server was friendly but wasn't as attentive. She also forgot Hubbers' coffee order. She almost forgot to serve us the raw oysters (which was served at the end of our meals.) VALUE: 4. PARKING: I would assume street only since I didn't see any open lots or structures nearby. OVERALL: 3.75. Hubbers got the crab cake benedict (which was my 2nd choice and it was yum!), Mom got a cup of gumbo and jambalaya, Big Bro got a bowl of red beans and rice. Safe to assume they all liked their food since their plates were all empty by the time we were done. Still a good place to grub before leaving this fun city! A next time is still a possibility.

Gallier Oyster House was my FAVORITE part about visiting New Orleans. Oysters were so fresh and flavorful, both raw and cooked. Also very well prepared - I tried a few different oyster bars and this one was better than them all. Next time I get a chance to go back to NOLA, this is my first stop!!

We enjoyed our dinner. The service was very good and they had a good happy hour special. We had many meals in New Orleans and this dinner was not as good as we had expected, probably wouldn't go back.

We stopped in here for a late lunch. This was within walking distance of our hotel and the food was really good. We were seated promptly upon arrival. It took a minute for our waitress to come, but when she did, she already had water for us. We ordered oysters, alligator bites and I got the taste of New Orleans, which came with Jambalaya, Gumbo, and red beans and rice. I was stuffed when we left. My husband got the bowl of gumbo. Everything was so flavorful and delicious! The garlic bread that comes with the dishes was amazing too.
