Good ole food. Old famished chicken. Gumbo great. Burger good. Try Cajun slaw burger.

Came because the sign and menu said Boudain balls. They don't have it The burger and seasoned fries were good.

All I have to say is Louisiana better appreciate this place because I'm from Miami Florida and I was passing through here and I stopped to eat and let me tell you I've never tasted chicken like I've tasted chicken there and the Cajun rice was out of control plus the apple pie was great I love this place. This would be a place for me to come all the time. If I could give them more stars, I would. Sorry if I didn't post the apple pie, it got in my stomach first.

Fine little place to grab a quick bite while you're on your road trip through Cajun Country serving fresh fried chicken, frog legs, boudin balls, shrimp (various ways) and other items you can expect from a diner in South Louisiana.Others tell me they serve specials each day, but for me it's the fried everything.

Only ordered the gumbo which was very good. The service is slow even when not very busy The restaurant is very nice

It's not much to look at from the outside and you definitely do not go to Gabe's for the ambiance inside. But if you want goooood, fresh and tasty comfort food you have found the place!Try the frog legs, mmmm. Okra was fresh and lightly battered. Salads were fresh although you'll get prepackaged dressings.A quick on / off the freeway, Gabe's is a great pitstop during your travel across south Louisiana. I'm stopping in again on my next trip down I-10.

This is an unassuming little place right on main boulevard in Rayne. While they do have a varied menu from boudin to frog legs to seafood, we had the fried chicken and were very happy with our choices.The chicken was fried just perfectly. The okra could have been fried a bit longer for our taste and the fries were well just fries.Some reviews complained of the service but this is an order at the counter spot. We ordered, got the last available table and our food was out in about 10 minutes- no issues here.

Clean & simply delicious food. Every time I go there plate lunch are great. An side order.

Hadn't been in a while. Went through the drive thru in the middle of the lunch rush around 12::30. Ordered Bacon Cheeseburger and seasoned fries. None of the food was hot or fresh. Fries tasted like they were sitting for a while. Seems like they drop a lot at once and they were sitting there. Cheeseburger burger was not hot. That food was too expensive to just be lukewarm

What a wonderful place! I came in right at closing time and they so graciously served me. The chicken and Cajun rice are phenomenal! Must try if you haven't! Thank you Gabe's for filling my belly before my nap.
