This review is well overdue, but I decided to submit it since I was thinking about Pythian Market the other day. Their sliders are pretty good - the bread is soft and the patty is well seasoned, albeit a little dry. The truffle fries are also delicious, and I love that it comes with a rosemary aioli. I don't think they're a vendor at Pythian anymore but I would love to go back if I ever spot them again!

I have always encountered this food truck on my travels, but never when I was hungry enough for it.When I saw that Frencheeze was going to be making an appearance at Gretna Food Truck Fest, I put it on the top of my list of trucks that I had to try. Yes, I had an actual list. I got there about an hour after the fest started and Frencheeze had the longest line ever!! Seriously. They even had to park in a special spot in order to accommodate their line. I re-worked my plan and decided to wait until the end of the fest to try it. Luckily, this plan of action worked. After waiting in a (shorter) line, I ordered the Molly which is bacon, tomato, goat cheese, and avocado on a toasted croissant. I waited about 5 minutes and my order was ready. Okay, so this thing is no joke. What I got was a sandwich that was so packed with bacon that it was actually falling out of the sandwich. After the first bite, I was hooked. There was something about the combination of crispy bacon, cold tomato and the cheese that really worked for me. It was outstanding, and on par with a sandwich you would get at an actual restaurant. The folks at Frencheeze impressed me: they were out at Gretna Food Truck Fest for 4 hours and they had a solid line the entire time- even after the lines at other trucks dwindled. They didn't run out of food, they were friendly and they were fast at getting the orders out. Combine that with a delicious sandwich (of which I had leftovers to enjoy later) and you get an experience that is worth way more than the $9 paid.I will absolutely be eating out of this truck again and I will be seeking them out the next time I am in the mood for some deliciousness.

Went to Food Truck Fest after a long hard day at work. Ordered truffle fries with the rosemary sauce because they sounded delicious. Received a plate of COLD, BURNT, CRUMBS!DON'T GIVE PAYING CUSTOMERS (in military uniform) COLD, BURNT SCRAPS THAT YOU SCRAPE OF THE BOTTOM OF YOUR DEEP FRYER.Given that I was there in uniform you think they would have been respectful enough to actually cook up fresh ones, like the sign says they are! Not sure if my Military uniform is why I got cold, burnt crumbs or because I didn't look like a local, or they just didn't like how I looked because I saw several other people go up and get a fresh hot basket with what looked like the fries in the pictures posted on here. I literally got cold, burned crumbs from the bottom of the fryer. I ended up just throwing it away.

The only way they could be better is if they had the actual dog there for me to pet while I wait for my order. Frencheeze is the bees knees. I get my Frencheeze on outside of Rusty Nail. Twice now they've saved my life, food-wise. Sometimes you just want to get your drink on at the bar, and don't want to fuss with reservations, table manners, silverware, etc. The staff is sweet, the prices are worth it, the wait is minimal, and the food is fresh and delicious. I know peeps be like well "fresh", what does that mean. The croissants are flakey and fluffy, the avocado is still green, the meat is mooing, jk, it's not mooing, but it's not yesterday's meatloaf. I'm a huge fan of the Molly*, and the Angus Beef Sliders helped me survive a trek from Rusty Nail to Lucy's; beef jerky and protein bars be damned. They take cards so you don't have to hit up the bar ATM and pay the $3.75 in fees. God bless the inventor of the Square. Molly*: Goat cheese, avocado tomato, bacon on a croissant

I finally got to try this food truck outside NOMA one evening with my Mom. We had the Bootz and the Rachel. The Rachel was the definite winner of the two; it had pesto, truffle aioli, provolone, smoked gouda and tomato. The Bootz was good too (colby, swiss & cheddar on sourdough) but it was just pale in comparison to the Rachel. Two sandwiches were the best of both worlds though so we could each have a half. Price point was good and the sandwiches came up quickly. Will definitely hit them up again for cheesie goodness.

This review is actually for the Pythian Market brick and mortar location. I am a traveler and was just looking for something comfort foody to eat. I stopped into Pythian Market to check it out, and found this wonderful gem. I had the "Bootz," though I added Smoked Gouda to it. It was so good of a grilled cheese I tried a second one--essentially what I had with egg and cheese. They don't skimp on anything, and it was just perfect. I highly, highly recommend.

I got the bootz and fries. Both were awesome. I'm glad I happen to stumble on where the truck happened to be parked. Also, there's a cute French bulldog on the side of the van so how can you pass that up?

I ate at the Frencheeze in the Pythian Market and was extremely disappointed. I loved the location however the service was unacceptable - the gentleman behind the counter cashed me out then proceeded to assemble my grilled cheese sandwich with the same gloves that he had used to handle our money exchange. To top it off he burned it! Perhaps he was burning the germs off! Needless to say, this made for a very unpleasant lunch and I couldn't finish my sandwich. I will never return to their station and would recommend trying the Poke or Mediterranean station instead.
