Fratelli's Italian Grille

Fratellli's is my go to Italian spot. Chicken Marsala is delicious. Chicken was very tender, food was piping hot and the sauce is spot on. Very reasonable prices, great service, nice lighting and ambiance. Food is always served fresh and hot. The complimentary Parmesan dinner rolls are addictive. Serving sizes are perfect. We always bring home the leftovers which reheat very well.

This was an okay eatery in Slidell. Dim lighting, good ambiance, no complaints about the atmosphere. It's decent, just nothing to write home about.We tried a Seafood combo #1, which was... surprising. It was a white wine sauce with clams, mussels, and shrimp over angel hair pasta. The surprising part was that it used what was really more of a broth than a sauce. The dish was more like a noodle soup, which was unexpected. The flavor was good though! I wouldn't order it again since I don't usually order pasta expecting a soup, but it wasn't bad!We also got the linguini carbonera. It used ham though; usually, I'd prefer pancetta, but thought I could give it a try anyway. This dish wasn't bad, but it was also a bit disappointing. Using ham for the dish did it the most disservice. Ham doesn't have enough fat content to add flavor to the dish. They also did not use enough aged cheese, instead, they used heavy cream to compensate for it. A lot of restaurants do this to cut down on costs, but it truly affects the quality of the dish. Without enough cheese, the flavor was not deep enough. However, the cream added plenty of richness.We tried the Supreme Pizza. It was good! The crust was perfect, and it was loaded with toppings and mozzerella cheese. A no frills standard pizza!

The food was amazing. I got the lasagna and my husband got the veal parmigiana. He said the veal was cooked perfectly and was tender. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. It's a small family owned restaurant so you are going to get amazing service! We drove about 40 minutes to try this place out and we will be coming back anytime we want good Italian food.

Went to dinner with my mom and this was a lovely experience. From the yummy complimentary garlic rolls, to our entrees (chicken Marsala and lasagna/manicotti/baked ziti), to our delicious tiramisu. Our waitress was so lovely and friendly and kept checking on us. It was a great experience!

The place is cozy. Met a friend for lunch, she said she and her husband go here and haven't had a bad meal yet. I ordered the Veal & Shrimp Ala Cream over angel hair pasta. First of all the portions are huge. The flavor was on point. Not to mention the basket of delicious garlic rolls they brought to the table. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere cozy. Get in here and get some of this great food.

This has been a really nice place for us. We have been coming here for a long time and have always had good experiences. During the pandemic we got takeout from here and all was well. It's quiet, there's always some Italian violin music playing, the vibe is fairly calm and not rushed. Not quite "romantic" like Lady & the Tramp sharing a plate of spaghetti and definitely not a noisy loud Olive Garden but somewhere in between.It feels like the kind of place you should dress up to go to, but the dress code is casual. Wear a tie, wear a t-shirt, it doesn't matter. The servers are attentive and friendly. Cloth napkins and heavy weight silverware and utensils are a nice touch that makes the experience nicer. The decor is very plain. Overall it feels like it should be fancier than it really is.Atmosphere aside, the real draw is the food. The menu has a variety of dishes you don't see just anywhere, even at the neighborhood restaurants that New Orleans and the surrounding area is known for. I understand that the owners are really from Italy so, if that is true, the dishes must be authentic to some degree. I dearly love pasta with white clam sauce and the only places I ever find that dish in the South have been authentic Italian so that's probably a good clue. My wife defaults to the Chicken Piccata every time. I love the baked dishes (ziti, manicotti, lasagna) when I don't get the white clam sauce. The pizza and calzones are very good.

Go go ! Conveniently located near hospital. Handicap access-easy. Nice, simple Italian decor . 5:00 pm arrival .. the dining room had one other person but quickly filled up in less than an hour ( tip : arrive before 6pm) . You could tell it is an area favorite . We were greeted promptly . Artisan bread rolls delivered to the table with butter . Good strong and CLEAR iced tea Our server was eager to make recommendations as this was our first time eating there . We had three courses . Salad, entree and dessert . I had chicken with spinach, broccoli , angel hair pasta in cream sauce , a side salad add for $2.00 and a $5.99 delicious piece of lemon cake ( very moist topped with white chocolate) My mom ordered a shrimp pasta dish with side salad and tiramisu for dessert . She said EVERYTHING was very very good ! She would order it again ! I wish I had taken pics for you ! The food was nicely presented in Italian type dinnerware . We will return . It was a very nice meal , fairly priced at approx $31.00 each. We will return and reccomend !

Really good food and a nice ambiance. It's a small quant restaurant, but welcoming and intimate. The pasta plates are enough to feed two people or enough to take home. Really worth the price! The lobster ravioli is delicious. I tried my daughter's chicken Alfredo. It was delicious as well! I

We had a group of 15 for lunch and it was wonderful. Service was efficient and food was delicious and ample. It was my first time there but will not be my last.

Upon arrival for a "to go " order for myself, I was greeted by a smiling, happy person with my food ready to go! It was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my meal and can't wait to get back to try another dish!
