When locals recommend a restaurant, you need to listen. At least when they refer you to a restaurant like Elizabeth's! The vibe was super cool and the staff even cooler. Shout out to Alex the server/bartender who couldn't help but exude great energy!Brunch entrees of choice were the Boudin and the Eggs Florentine. Both were so yummy! The praline bacon was delicious; we would ask for it to be cooked crispier next time. It almost tasted like tocino - which is Filipino/Spanish cured pork shoulder (which is one of my faves). My boyfriend and I were also impressed by their perfectly poached eggs. How do they do that? I was so full, I don't think I ate anything until dinner! With my boyfriend's family nearby, this will definitely stay on our MUST DINE restaurants. Can't wait until the next visit...

I think i found this spot on YouTube when I was trying to look for places during our trip. They raved about the breakfast burrito and honestly? That was probably my least favorite thing. We probably waited around 15 mins before we got seated. Billy was our server and he was kind of whatever's. I get it tho, they were starting to get busy busy and he was just trying to get people in and out. My boyfriend ordered the shrimps and grits. He thought it tasted like he was eating at someone's home - it was very rustic and flavorful tho he preferred the shrimps and grits we had at a different location a couple days prior. I also ordered the praline bacon for shits and giggles and wowwwwww those babies were candied! Sweet, chewy and crispy. My mouth is watering thinking about them hahah. I'd order these again. We also ordered the banana fosters French toast and this was surprisingly good despite it looking like they smashed some bread up, fried it and slapped some stuff on it lol. I'd order these again too.Ok so my beef with the breakfast burrito actually had more to do with the breakfast sausage they used that day. It had such an awful taste, I had to ask Billy what kind of meat they used because the seasoning in the breakfast sandwich was so overwhelming. I ended up just picking around all the meat but even then it kind of seeped into everything else. I wish I just sent it back tbh.The ambiance inside was very loud in color and eclectic, with a bunch of things and art adorning the walls.Idk maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but idk if I'd intentional go out of my way to return and try something new.Was it the best thing we had during our trip? Definitely not. Was it absolutely terrible? Not everything was, there were some diamonds in the rough for sure. Would I recommend this place to a friend visiting New Orleans for the first time? No, I probably wouldn't. Is it a decent ish spot to get food if you're in the area? Sure!

Stopped by Elizabeth's for breakfast while visiting NOLA for my birthday. The restaurant is tucked away in an area that feels industrial and residential and we passed a really cool art gallery/lot on our drive over. The atmosphere is welcoming and rich with colors. I noticed that most of the art on the walls came from the gallery down the street which was awesome! For brunch we started with the praline bacon and cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. The bacon was perfectly crisp and sweetened and the gumbo was good and really warmed up the body. For mains we ordered the Campfire Steak and Eggs and the Bayou Breakfast. The steak was cold-smoked (a first for me!) and was extremely well cooked medium temp. However the steak was just a little over salted for my taste. The fried catfish strips were crunchy but the potatoes may have been my favorite. Would absolutely return when down in NOLA!

Elizabeth's is a classic New Orleans breakfast place. It's a casual eatery with plenty of seating and fantastic service. We tried their:*Eggs Florentine ($23), which was PHENOMENAL. This was the best item we tried. Perfectly poached eggs came with a delicious creamy spinach sauce that I could eat all day. The fried oysters and potatoes are flavorful and amazing too. I will always be ordering this when I come here.*Banana Foster French toast ($9 for half order) was also yum! Exactly what you crave when you order this, a sweet soft French toast. Highly recommend this to order on the side of your main dishes. By the way, their half order is huge, so I would not commit to a full order if you're not sharing with others!*Shrimp and Grits ($17) was one of the specials of the day. This was different than what you normally get at other places. It was made with beef broth and tallow, and it was a bit soupier than what I like. I didn't personally love this, but it wasn't bad at all.*Basic Breakfast ($10) was just fine and what you'd expect. We got two eggs, hash browns, a biscuit, but the items are interchangeable (replace biscuit with toast, replace hash browns with grits, etc.) If you're in a mood for a no-frills breakfast, this is for you.No wonder Elizabeth's is a favorite brunch spot for so many people! Can't wait to have their Eggs Florentine again!!

As my wife and I finish our meals, I can't add this review quick enough. We came in on a whim, and couldn't be happier we did. Everything about this place is awesome to me. It's simple decorating and front of house, with intricate, amazing food. It's so welcoming when you walk in and the staff is great. Can't wait to come back.

Cool spot in bywater if you want to get away from the crowds near Bourbon. We came early enough in the morning around 9, so there wasn't a wait for a 3 person table. Overall service was quick too.Started with some fried chicken liver. The portion was HUGE. Almost a bit too big considering the flavor that chicken liver leaves behind. It's definitely something that you'd want 3 people to share. For the main breakfast I got one of the specials of the day which was fried boudin with a creole sauce with crawfish and hash. The sauce was absolutely delicious and I kept smothering the hash for each additional bite.

Good vibes and interesting decor. Service was friendly and quick. Lots of seating areas and looked pretty busy. Street parking.Came for breakfast/brunch. Quite disappointed with the chicken and waffles. Super dry chicken and very tough. Waffles were overly sweet. And you'd want to add syrup on top usually but couldn't because of the sweetness. Overall a disappointing meal. Did try sound boudin, crunchy and good but the main course was hard to look past. 3 stars for vibes and services.Maybe will consider giving it another try in the future.Happy eating!

Came here for some brunch once we arrived in NOLA. They had a nice and cozy atmosphere. I ordered a full plate of eggs and all the fixin, but only took a picture of the fried green tomatoes? Haha but I remembered that I enjoyed it. Definitely a place to try if you're visiting or are in the area. There's also a pretty cool bridge nearby that you can visit that I included in the review.

Happened to be in the neighborhood and Elizabeth's had been on my list, it was well worth the stop. It does not look like much inside, it's pretty simple with some Dr Bob art on the wall. We both had the jalapeño pineapple margarita, and yes! I'd go back just for that. It was a good size and pretty boozy for the price. I did enjoy my basic breakfast with ham, everything on the plate was plentiful, a good solid breakfast. There were hot sauces on the table too, the one I tried was too garlic for my personal taste, but I'm sure others would enjoy it. Husband had the special of the day with Hash and Poached Eggs, he loved it. Service was fast and friendly, we didn't have to wait, but I've heard it does get very busy. A very solid experience I'd say.

We ordered a few dishes and the portions were huge! We were able to eat it all because every bite was delicious. We ordered duck waffles, red neck eggs and fried chicken liver appetizers. Good service in a casual artsy environment. I would return on my next NOLA visit.
