Duet's Bakery

I stopped here to see what the bakery goods were about. I ordered a few things: muffins, cookies, pastries and a churro. Everything I'm sure had been made earlier that day. It was ok. The bread pudding was dry and the pastries were too flaky. I did get a pistachio muffin it was good when warmed up. I most likely won't go here again unless for the muffin.

This lil bakery is a GEM along West Main st in Golden Meadow,La. Cookies n Pastries, Bread is the Same as i remember, since early 1970s for me. I just Happen to pass tbinking they were closed, but Lucky still open, 1 hr till closed--in LUCK...The young salesgirl was so well mannered n helpful explain all the ? i had about items...To my surprise i asked about Grand Isle Cookies, if they were still made since they originally came from Dufrene's Bakery, just down the Road--closed yrs ago--so missed too. Thankfully some of their recipes are still made here at Duets. See pics of most of the items they sell. also the sign posted inside store. The bakery is CLOSED on Sat, Sunday, call ahead if you want Pues n French Breads as they SELLOUT fast. Its worth the scenic drive to relish in these tasty goodies they make...You wont go wrong stopping in.

We absolutely love Duets bakery . Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything is always made fresh.

Please do not go here 85% of there product are frozen and not homemade. So as far as taste and freshness it leaves something to be desired.They also set no standards for how they package their bread. I have seen employees drop bread on the floor then proceed to package it for a customer. It is disgusting and wrong on so many levels. Save your money on this one.
