Donuts A Go Go is a no frills donut shop in the heart of Ponchatoula.You want atmosphere, go to Starbucks. You want a good donut, go to Donuts A Go Go.I've only had their glazed donuts so I can't comment on the other offerings here. And yes, they are very good. You are most certain to get fresh, hot glazed donuts whenever you visit. I love the coffee they serve as well. It's nothing fancy, but that's just it. You order a coffee and you get a coffee. No grande frappe whatchamacallit nonsense here. Just coffee with cream and/or sugar.The drive thru gets pretty busy most mornings. Sometimes the inside is packed and other times you in and out. Don't even waste your time getting donuts form any other place in the area.

Stopped here on my way home to Mississippi from NOLA. I had two glazed donuts. They tasted pretty good, but they were very cold. Most donut shops that I have visited before keep their glazed donuts warm all day. It was only 9:30 a.m. when I was there and their donuts were cold, cold, cold. They got three stars because they tasted good, but would have gotten 5 had they been warm.

Donuts a go go used to be open from 4:30 AM until 12 noon.Now the last dozen times or more they are closing early. Why?Today was the last straw. I arrived at 9:30 AM and they were closed.This is no way to run a good business. I used to go around 10:30 or even 11 AM and they had the best donuts. But in the last 4 or 5months, I can not even get in the door. I love their donuts, but nottheir hours.

OKAY! I'll stay! This place has awesome donuts and I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur! I've been missing home (North Carolina) so much, but finding this place has made La. worth staying! :-) Even better than the donut shop back home!
