Boudin kolache. It's great. Soft buttery bread stuffed in this rice dressing. It's like a Golden Corral's roll stuffed. Sweet and savory!
Just half of a boudin kolache. Look at that filling, y'all!
The larger than life apple fritter. Compare it to the size of my leg that it's sitting on!

Jalapeño boudin kolache. Never had before but will leave my opinion in my review.

I had cravings for donuts and kolaches so I decided to give this place a go! I didn't see any small kolaches but just regular sized ones. No biggie. They have a variety of donuts kolaches and other breakfast items just as biscuit or burritos. Prices have gone up since the menu pics . I didn't get to take new pics bc they had covered their counter with a clear plastic thing. I ordered two reg jalepeno cheese kolaches, one burrito and one dozen donut holes and my total was $14. Not sure why it was that expensive. My kolaches was good. The bread was flaky and wrapped the sausage. The sausage itself is made up jalepenos and cheese so it wasn't as cheesy or any extra pieces of jalepenos inside. My hubby got the sausage egg and cheese burrito. He didn't care for it too much bc there was sliced cheese inside instead of shredded therefore it was kinda of cold even after heating up. I really liked the donut holes! It was soft and had a vanilla glaze on top. I think if I heated them up...it would be just as yummy if not better! My goals are to hit up all these donut shops to eat donut holes! This place ranks #2 on my list so far.

If you like Krispy Kreme donuts this is your place. I could hardly pick up the donut it was so light and airy. Full of glaze and hot.My husband had the Kolaches and those were pretty good according to him. They have a drive thru as well and many options of donuts. Drive on in and give it a try. It'll be worth it.

Since moving to Ascension Parish, I've been on a hunt for some legit donuts. I've been to Mary Lee, Daily Donut, Southern Maid, Daily Glaze, & all the others, but found them all to be pretty mediocre. Well today, I finally found what I was looking for: Donut Palace. These are some of the softest, freshest, most delicious pillows of goodness that I've ever had. My favorite were the cream cheese filled. Up there with Tato-Nut in Ocean Springs and Shipley's in Bunkie (RIP) as that GOAT donuts.

Y'all. I just did a bad, bad thing! I've been nursing a migraine for two days and just wanted some comfort food. I'd heard good things about this place, but hadn't gone and tried them out until today. Parking lot was empty, but it was also almost 10 AM presumably after their morning rush. Given I was still in pajamas, I hit up the super convenient drive through. In order to do this place justice, I wanted to do it right and try a little of everything! I ordered a boudin kolache, a buttermilk cake donut, chocolate iced donut and an apple fritter. First of all, the lady at the window was incredibly pleasant and even chuckled as I ordered (we both knew I was being a total carbie this morning!). The boudin kolache was amazingly flavorful! I also didn't expect it to have as much filling as it did, but wow! The apple fritter was larger than life, y'all. It seriously fit across my lap! It was delightfully crispy in all the right places and had tons of apple cinnamon flavor and just the right amount of filling. The rest of the donuts (chocolate iced and buttermilk) were seriously some of the best I've ever tried. Kid you not!Another point to notate is that I assumed some things would be cold given they probably don't make as many of them. WRONG! Every single donut and pastry was warm, if not hot. And finally! The lady at the window gave me an extra glazed donut and two donut holes as some lagniappe! Call it what you will, but this place is a GEM of a Donut Palace, that's for sure! If you're ever in Gonzales, don't short change yourself, hit up Donut Palace and let them make your belly as happy as mine is right now!

Oh my goodness! This place is worth a trip to Gonzales just for the jalapeño kolaches alone but when you get a taste of their glazed donuts, you're going to be mad that you haven't found them sooner lol. The moment you sink your teeth in them, your taste buds begin salivating uncontrollably; your face makes this look of, "I can't believe this is a donut!" It's a very light, airy type donut, similar to Krispy Kreme, not the dense or caked style. The kolache, which I've never had before is oh so delicious. If you love boudin, you'll love this sweet and savory pastry wrapped in a light, sweet buttered bread. Each bites warrants another and another until you're eventually looking at your fingertips. Try them out if you're ever on Burnside Road in Gonzales, LA!!

Delicious donuts. Wonderful service. I can't speak highly enough about this business. Their apple fritters are the size of my 9 year old's head, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The eclair is divine, and everything is made fresh, which is amazing for how affordable their prices are. This will definitely be our donut spot from now on. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

What the hell is this? Worst kolaches ever. These had to be day old trash. Bread just crumbled apart and the price for those was bonkers.

New to the gonzales area and I consider myself quite the donut connoisseur. I've spent the last four years living within walking distance of Terrytown Cafe which has the best donuts in the city of New Orleans. Upon moving to this smaller more rural area I was desperate to find my new donut go to. DoorDash and Waitr suggested you me Donut Palace and I set about making an order. I was pleased to see they are only 7 minutes down 44 from me, even close than the Walmart! When they arrived they were hot fresh and delicious. Little sugar clouds that melted in my mouth. I got an assorted dozen and was a fan of ever flavor. They even threw in a sprinkling of donut holes which solidified my new loyalty. Since then I have gone to the bakery myself, don't let the outside of the building fool you, some aesthetics are lacking but the drive thru is incredibly convenient and the menu is drool worthy. I haven't even gotten into the kolaches and biscuits but I'll have my eye on those for the days I'm craving savory breakfast over sweet. On top of a great product the staff I encountered were supper friendly and the prices are great. Keep it up Donut Palace

They gave me a crossiantwich that had spoiled eggs in it, I took a bite and I threw up and threw the food away. I will never go back to that place. There food was good but that one experience I will never forget and will not take the chance to bite into an old sandwich Again.
