Stumbled into this place before the Saints game and we were pleasantly surprised...tried a few appetizers and brisket and ribs.All were excellent!Service is quick and easy!We mos def will be back!!

Finally made it down to this BBQ spot down in the CBD, and the atmosphere and friendly customer service did not disappoint. We were able to try a variety of meats and sides but our favorites were the beef fat fries, smoked turkey breast, pork sausage, and collard greens. The beef fat fries were well-seasoned and topped with the most unique queso cheese, while the collard greens were aromatic and extremely flavorful. That being said, the portion sizes for the meats left a little to be desired and the macaroni and cheese was a tad overcooked. Contrary to its name, there also seemed to be very little cheese in the pimento cheese grits, although the consistency of the corn was smooth and perfectly cooked. We also didn't care for the chopped brisket which was rather dry and under seasoned. The vinegary BBQ sauces were also too runny for our taste, though despite the consistency, the House BBQ sauce still packed a punch. I would've also liked to have more than just one slice of bread to balance out all the additional sides and condiments. All in all, I would definitely eat at this spot again even if it was solely for the beef fat fries or the collard greens. The meats did not impress us much but the staff was super polite and the service was quick.

This is a brand new BBQ joint in the CBD that will also have a brewery attached soon in the future. The pit master used to work at Blue Oak and that influence is certainly evident in some of the food. They have a bit more of a Louisiana focus with some of their sausages along with offering gumbo and a sauce piquant. I tried the sauce piquant for one of my sides and found it really needed a LOT more chicken in it. Food was delicious. I found the brisket to be a little bland but everything else was great. Smothered cabbage was YUMMY, it was my favorite side. Walking distance from our condo, we will definitely be back!

Stopped into Devil Moon before a Pelicans game and ordered the rib platter but since they were short on ribs they gave me some chopped brisket to go with it. I had the standard greens and Mac and Cheese as sides. The greens were great with a kick of spice that I love. Im not a Mac an Cheese fan but it was pretty good though I dont like the shells. Devil Moon has alot of local sides like sauce piquant, dirty rice and red beans and rice, next time I will order one of those in place of the Mac. Its pretty much a lunch spot as they close by 6pm.

Not going back. Food was bleh...we got the 3 meat plate. Fatty brisket was actually good. But you can't get passed the smoke flavor. It's almost too much smoke. The sides weren't good. Mac and cheese was grainy, white beans..again..too much smoke and the pasta salad was bland. There was also a mouse that kept running back and forth like it was normal. (Ratatouille does BBQ) The worker said, "oh it's a New Orleans thing...it's being taken cared of." NO THANK YOU.

I'm not in love with the food. We ordered out so I can't speak to service or ambiance. The way this pls s has been promoted I thought my mind would be blown with the bbq. Honestly I don't remember what we ordered or how it tasted (we ate here a week ago). That's not a great sign lol. Not sure I would go back.

Wings were top tier for a barbecue place. Brisket was tender and not overly fatty. Turkey was solid. Sides were great - Mac and cheese, potato casserole and grits. Will definitely be back
