Went to Desi's for a coworker's going away lunch. The staff was friendly and we had a good time. I had the small macaroni and cheese (the large serves 2-3 as a meal). It was good, but it was certainly upgraded from what I grew up with. It reminded me more like a heavy cheese dip with some veggies and pasta in it. The whole event was fun and I recommend checking them out if you're in Chalmette!

I have only heard about this macaroni and cheese for the past few months a million times, so I was really excited I finally got to go and try this d'amour macaroni and cheese!We sat at the bar and ordered to go and the bartender was AWESOME! She figured we were from out of town and made the time to chat with us. The food... AMAZING!I was wanting more even after I was completely stuffed. Awesome spot!

This place is a hidden gem. The staff is so down to earth. I had oysters and it was SOOO Good!!!. Every time I go to NO I have to go by the place. Drinks are amazing. Only problem is if you go on the patio there are 6 cats that someone is feeding and it smells really bad and needs to be cleaned up. So stay inside....

Placed an order for pickup on a Wednesday night around 8pm. The order wasn't ready when I arrived, but it took only five or so minutes longer than expected so it wasn't that bad. There are a couple features of note about this place. First is the parking lot, which is small; I ended up parking on the side street. Second is the fact that the "Bar" part of their name is not just for show, so when you when you walk in you are greeted with a large bar and dim lighting. Southern charm is in effect, the staff calling everyone baby/sugar/honey.I ordered a small mac and cheese and a cup of shrimp and corn bisque. The "small" mac and cheese took up most of a styrofoam clamshell container, making a meal by itself. It's advertised as being award-winning, and yes, it was good. It has spinach and artichoke in it too though, which might be cheating in terms of mac and cheese. The bisque was good too, and I'll definitely return to check out more of their food.

Went there for the first time a few weeks ago at the invitation of a couple of friends. I don't know why we hadn't heard of this place before. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was interesting, and the service was really almost "like family" (in the good sort of ways). We definitely are going back and try more of their food!

Sports Bar and More ! Chalmette's answer to cheers ! Great burgers,, salads, wraps. Sandwiches, wings steaks & seafood ! Large family, dining area, family, friends and more are welcome here open six days a week lunch and dinner close Mondays call in advance to book a party or reservations for large groups, Desi's Sports Bar and more the place to be in Chalmette! Service second to none in a grade atmosphere there's always a friend within 5 feet remember the place where everyone knows your name.

The Chicken Parm I ordered was ok. It was too dark inside as a restaurant for it being the middle of the afternoon tho. What's with restaurants not bringing the proper change back after paying. It's not my problem that you don't want to deal with coin change anymore, if my change requires there to be coin change with it, I expect it to be part of my change. Will probably never go back just because of that! CB
