I had the grill chicken po boy with side of hush puppies! Love their food. They also have great gumbo . I had a take out order but the service was great and I didn't have to wait very long. Nice family restaurant for kids and adults.

Tasty place for some po boys and gumbo! The chicken and sausage gumbo was delicious and a big portion for a cup. I add Tabasco for extra heat and flavor but it was good without too. The chicken bacon cheddar po boy was also huge and tasty. Service was quick and friendly and prices very reasonable. I will say the atmosphere is very lacking, literally blank walls and little to no decorations, but food and service was good and the tables were kept clean. This is also a busy spot so keep that in mind when coming by. Good spot to try!

I went here after wanting gumbo since I couldn't have crawfish. This would have been the second time I would have been trying this gumbo and I bought a quart. I was highly disappointed. This was the thickest gumbo I had eaten ever. Even re heating it was still just as thick..I'm not sure why this is called seafood gumbo it only has small shrimp and nothing else. No sausage, no crab, chicken or okra is they use it both times I've eaten it months apart from each other. The second time was even worse. No flavor in the gumbo whatsoever hot sauce, the bread and crackers couldn't help. It makes me want to try nothing else on the menu. Needless to say I don't think I'll be back..

Very generous portions! Friendly service! Ordered two half shrimp poboys ($12.49 each) -so much shrimp!!! And, we got a bacon cheeseburger ($13.75) which was delicious. We also got a small fry and a large fry for my husband and I to split. We should have just ordered one large fry and split between the three of us because wowzer that's a lot of fries! We ordered ahead on grubhub and picked it up. It took close to 20 minutes for our order to be prepared, but not too bad considering all the frying and grilling they had to do. We'll order again for sure!

Giving a 2 star because the service was pleasant and they were understanding of the situation and removed it from our bill. We ate 2 fried mozzarella logs before noticing one had a bug on it. Also, the gumbo tasted like the roux was burnt and the place just did not feel clean.

Dempsey's is a classic and never disappoints when it comes to the food! You have to get the messy fries! Fries with melted cheese, jalapeños, mornae sauce, and fried shrimp on top! (100/10; I dream about these fries!) the boudin balls were also pretty solid. This past time we got two poboys and split them. The catfish was the best, but the fried crawfish one wasn't bad! However, every time we've been our food has been amazing and customer service always solid.

We order to go from this restaurant frequently. It has inside seating but it is small and tables close. No ambiance at all. Fortunately most everything food wise is good. We enjoy all of their gumbos they offer several. The po-boys are all good with plenty of meat or seafood but the french dip is so loaded its hard to eat. It's delicious but if you are like me you will need several napkins. Only complaint I have is their baked potatoes are stuffed or fried. I prefer baked potatoes with butter and sour cream. A great place which seldom makes mistakes. when they do they give you a free meal for the messed up one. They care about their customers. Great place to eat.

These guys have great food and great service! The seafood stuffed potato is my favorite from Dempsey's and I do not even care to get the stuffed seafood potato anywhere else because Dempsey's does theirs so good!! YUMM! It would be nice if and when they could get a bigger place to serve because the food is so good it does get a little crowded.

I love their mozzarella if they actually put effort in and cook them to where they would be warm when they serve them. I placed an order from the parking lot was told it would be 15 minutes. I went in after 10 picked my order up went to the car to inspect the order and discovered it was nowhere near warm much less hot.
