Deanie's Seafood is a must-visit gem for anyone craving authentic and flavorful seafood while in the New Orleans Quarter. My party and I dined here on a weekday, arriving just before the pre-dinner rush. This turned out to be a great decision, as we were immediately seated and given menus showcasing an impressive array of fried and baked seafood dishes. Our server was exceptional--knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. They took the time to recommend dishes based on our preferences, which was incredibly helpful given the extensive menu. As plates began to arrive at nearby tables, we noticed the portions were generously sized, setting the tone for an indulgent dining experience. For my main course, I opted for the stuffed flounder, which was perfectly cooked and full of rich, savory flavor. My dining companion chose the redfish, which was equally delicious. We also shared a Bucktown Blues Salad, a refreshing complement to the heartier seafood dishes. Each entrée came with sides, including green beans, which were fresh and well-seasoned. My companion added a creamy potato salad, and the complementary roasted potatoes were a delightful surprise--crispy on the outside and tender inside. The French bread served alongside the meal was impressively large, though I didn't manage to snap a photo in time! We paired our meals with cocktails and wine--my Voodoo cocktail was vibrant and flavorful, while my companion's red wine rounded out the meal beautifully.Everything arrived promptly, and the flavors were outstanding. By the time we finished, the restaurant was bustling with the dinner crowd, and we were glad we had arrived early. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service remained top-notch, further enhancing our experience.I'll definitely return on my next visit! craving authentic and flavorful seafood while in the New Orleans Quarter.

The food is ALWAYS good here! Always fresh, well seasoned, served hot & well priced! My top recommendations in the French quarter! The service is always nice as well! This is a nice restaurant, clean and a lot of light. I enjoyed some chargrilled & bbq oysters, crab quartet, stuffed shrimp, & carrot soufflé. Can't wait to get back!

Every time I come visit New Orleans with my family we love to stop by here to specifically get an order of 12 Rockefeller Oysters $29 (today). I don't like oysters BUT their oysters are on a completely different level. They're buttery, Parmesan, broiled, and it comes with bread and lemon. The oyster tastes really good when you put it on the bread and then put lemon on top. We also ordered the fried catfish which absolutely melts in your mouth, the stuffed flounder was also great. The server was a nice kid, pretty attentive even with the large tables he was handling. Can't wait to come back next year

The restaurant was very nice. Clean and well lit. It was not busy when I was there but staff was well turned out. I was seated immediately and waited on promptly. There were several specials. I had stuffed grouper and chargrilled oysters. The grouper was very good but the oysters were the star of the show... my only complaint is the blanched green beans... put them in a crockpot with ham and leave them alone overnight... it won't be as pretty but you get a better product... but overall it was happy making. Total with tip was @ $100 but I did Have two entrees and an excellent Sazerac so I feel it was an excellent value.

I was visiting New Orleans from Miami. I had 4 random people suggest this restaurant so I had to make my way here. My friends and I walked in and was greeted right away. The restaurant felt like a diner. I came on a weeknight so it wasn't busy. Our waiters were Ben and Deaux (I think that's how you spell his name). Deaux was hilarious and had such a great spirit. He made my friends and I time at Deanie's a vibe. They brought seafood potatoes at the table which was boiled with shrimp. The food was okay. I got the fried catfish and fried shrimp. Everyone at the table felt like the food needed more seasoning. Overall night sure if I would come back based on my food.

Solid restaurant with a crazy large fried seafood platter. We ordered a half portion for two people and couldn't finish it. The fried oysters and the fried shrimp were succulent, moist, with a crisp breading. Catfish and crab balls were okay. Price point and service was good for New Orleans. Worth a visit.

I love this place , the food is amazing and the service is great. We had never tried charbroiled oysters and they delicious. Our server recommended them. Do your self a favor and share a platter , you can thank me later. My wife had a poor boy and she said it was delicious. I had the shrimp dinner and it didn't disappoint. The shrimp was breaded lightly and seasoned perfectly
