I Loooooove Deanie's!!!!! I basically order from the one on Hayn Blvd because I live in that area, but I have visited the One in the French Ouarters, both are very clean along with an amazing atmosphere that invites you to eat until your heart is contented, the Seafood is the BEST,and there's always enough to take away!!! Deanie's Restaurant & Bar in New Orleans East is often confused with the other Deanie's Restaurant group that currently has locations in Bucktown, The French Quarter and The Garden District but there is zero connection between these restaurants. So we have to emphasize again that this Deanie's Restaurant & Bar has no relation to the other Deanie's Seafood Restaurants (other than a shared name) which the confusion seems so strong that many have just started calling this joint "Deanie's on Hayne" to differentiate it from the better known and larger restaurant group. So "Deanie's on Hayne" or Deanie's Restaurant & Bar traces its history back to the mid-1960s in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. Deanie's on Hayne opened in its current location the 1970s, when the fishing camps on Lake Pontchartrain along Hayne to Little Woods were beginning to disappear. The bad news is that Deanie's on Hayne has very limited serving hours being open 11AM to 4PM Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 11AM until 8PM so most folks are mainly going to get lunch here and maybe an early dinner on a Friday. The good news is that Deanie's on Hayne has rotating daily specials and they have a HUGE selection of different items everyday. You really get an amazing variety of so many things which are prepared in many different ways. They have a large bar here if you are a solo diner and then they also have plenty of table seating options as well. They really pack a HUGE amount of great stuff into what looks like a relatively modest building from the outside. You get good food, great service and a nice environment along with most other things you would want in a dining experience all wrapped up into a nice package here. Overall this place is a definite place to put on your list for a future visit and once you experience it you will likely return for more. My video review of Deanie's on Hayne is here:https://youtu.be/laV3TvGZEP4

Food was outstanding! The "daily special menu" is where it's at!! Best food we've had in New Orleans in years! Green beans and seafood stuffed redfish. Sooo good.

Great reason to visit New Orleans East. This restaurant is great for dine in and carry out. Deanie's offer good, consistent, and affordable food. They also give generous portions. I recently went here with my friend. I got the breaded veal, macaroni and cheese, squash, and salad all for $11.95. The entire meal was good and I had plenty left to take home. The macaroni and cheese was the standout dish for me, super cheesy and tasty. My friend got the bang bang shrimp wrap with twisty fries all for $11.95, she was thoroughly pleased with the meal. Our entire meal was only $31.45, now that's a deal! I definitely recommend this restaurant. Good location (on Haynes Blvd) and plenty of parking.

First time visiting Deanie's. Wow what a great place! Real old style New Orleans neighborhood restaurant. Everything made from scratch, phenomenal sauces, dressings and desserts. Fried food cooked to perfection and plentiful. Giant butterflied shrimp. Will be back. Thank you!

The food is fresh and fried perfectly. I had the stuffed shrimp which had a delicious stuffing , my hubby had the shrimp ,oyster boat. The only improvement could be the fries they needed to be crispier and a little more flavorful. Its priced the same as any typical seafood restaurant
