Daisy Dukes Express

Solid 3.5 star joint. Staff are super chill and the vibe is slightly dive bar...my kind of place.As it was close to our hotel, thought we would stop in one night for dinner. One of the football games was on so it was a good spot to sit and watch. Notes:Wings came recommended, and these were probably the best out of our entire order. If you're looking for some straightforward eats, I'd get some of these. My trio - gumbo, etouffee, red rice and beans...was just so so. Flavors were hit or miss. Definitely more food than I could eat, plus came with fried green tomatoes and a biscuit. A couple local beers on the menu plus a full bar...All in all, I wouldn't come here expecting some crazy good meal, but it's a fun spot to grab a bite.

Great filling food, Large variety of menu offerings. Always a great Bloody Mary and mimosa to start your day.This is our go-to spot when in the downtown area. It's close to our hotel. There is another location closer to the Hilton we now prefer this location. Just a short walk but we'll worth it. Our food is always delivered hot and comes out at 1 time so we can all eat together. They have no problem serving 6 at a table.

Unfortunately, not the best experience at Daisy Dukes Express. While we were able to be seated quickly, our not super complicated breakfast order for 4 ppl took over 50 mins to come out (waffle, pancakes, breakfast sandwich)By the time the food came, it was ice cold, and one of our orders had been given to another table, so it had to be remade. There definitely seemed to be a mix-up somewhere with the kitchen or service, so not sure it's indicative of a normal experience here...but it was ours.

Overall, it was good. I would consider again.My wife enjoyed it more than I did. She really enjoyed the gumbo! I thought it was okay.I had also ordered the blackened fish (of unknown type), it started out rather salty, but with each bite, it got less salty and more blackened (spicy).Service was good and the kitchen was very fast. Ambience is very casual, neat & clean, not loud. Oh, and great music (80s and 90s)

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I came here for breakfast and I wish we got up and left. The server was completely monotone and was nonattentantive. The food was absolutely bland. The gritz and eggs were terrible.the only good thing about our meal was the sweet tea. My husband ran out of his sweet tea so he stopped the waiter and asked for more. The waiter looked so annoyed that we even asked. The women's bathroom needs maintenance Because one of the stalls did not even have a secure lock to keep the door in place .the other stall had a door difficult to even close. What the final straw was when we received our bill.My husband did not tip due to poor service. As we paid our bill, we walked out of the restaurant,Only to have the waiter follow us ou into the street to stop us asking for a tip! Never in my life Have we ever been followed out into the street requesting a tip for horrible service. It upset us that he chased us to which my husband replied "no".

I was walking through the heat to another restaurant when I saw this and had the calling to go in. The vibe was chill. Home town bar feel bumping 90s and 2000s RnB. Reminded me of the Tube Steak radio show on KFSR in Fresno. My waitress was quick to and helpful. Went double entree with the Jambalaya (extra paprika) and a shrimp po boy. Jambalayas exactly what I was looking for in Nola! Spicy, rice perfect, lots of sausage and chicken. Magnificent. The bread on the Po Boy felt almost grilled to a crunch, but soft on the inside with a little sweet taste. Perfect match for the shrimp that I doused in the house hot sauce. BANGIN! Even my cup of decaf was smooth as a jazz band. Forget the big places if you want some authentic NOLA dishes. Come in, sit down, and order away. Recommend for all.

The food was not bad. I ordered a veggie omelette and a Bloody Mary (first time). I enjoyed the Bloody Mary. The toast was dry and not fresh. My husband order pork chops. He had they were okay. The service was friendly and our waitress was great. A very friendly young lady. The atmosphere was small but it was okay.

Amazing service! Great atmosphere!! We have been lucky to have Jv as our server! Food is delicious!

Food and service were great!! Highly recommend Aslan the photographer took some nice pictures for us after we ate and the pictures were beautiful!

Great servers, food was reasonably priced with great portions. The best country fried steak I've ever had in my life!!!
