Daddyz In The Pass

Delicious as usual, always stop here when we are in town. I love their fish and shrimp and we have never left hungry.

Daddyz place is located in Pass Christian MS on E North street. It is a metal building with limited parking and appears very unassuming from the exterior.Went to Daddy's on two separate occasions while attending cruising the coast. I found it on Yelp of course and read many great reviews. So I decided it was worth a try.You seat yourself when you walk in, and it's a wide open dining room with tile flooring and a bar to the left side when you enter. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, taking drink orders immediately upon you sitting down and also giving menus. My first visit I tried the Daddy Burger since I'd read reviews about how good it was. I also got a side of onion rings. Man this burger is huge! Two giant beef patties, fresh beef that is. This isn't a boxed frozen patty, this is fresh ground beef made into a burger patty. The burger was huge, the beef was tender and flavorful and the condiments were fresh. The onion rings were crisp and yet soft and had a great flavor to them.Day two I went back and had a country fried steak with mashed potato and Lima beans. The steak was perfectly cooked, the gravy was flavorful and the Lina beans and mashed potatoes were delicious. Both meals were outstanding.My only complaint here is they are understaffed. This affects your drink refills greatly. It was mid to high 80's all day outside, I was really thirsty, and the refill never came even though I asked. I actually ate my entire meal without a drink. Otherwise, I highly recommend the food at this place and also the very nice staff.

Nice local country town spot to eat! The place surely kept a steady line of takeout customers coming in and out. The food MUST BE COOKED TO ORDER because there is a wait when you order. The staff were kind and the food was very tasteful. Seasoned. And I can see why they kept a line of customers. The locals seem to dine-in and I didn't feel welcomed as a guest so I ordered my food to go. I would recommend as a small town stop for lunch or dinner.

It was almost lunchtime but I was wanting breakfast and Daddyz turned up on a search. I cannot say I "stumbled on it" because I don't think I would have found it without the aid of GPS. It's not in the middle of nowhere, but it isn't close to any main roads or highways either. Definitely a local place.From the mixed reviews I expected a little weirdness, but I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. It was almost empty when I arrived, and the servers told me to sit wherever I liked. Later a couple came in, gave me an odd look sitting there, looked at each other, then sat at another table across the room. I think I must have taken their regular seat (Sorry, folks). A number of people came in while I was there and the servers knew many of them by name.I was not disappointed with the breakfast. I had a western omelette that was cooked to perfection! There is a difference between an omelette and "scrambled eggs with cheese and stuff." The cook here knows the difference and served up a winner. The rest of the plate - toast, hash browns, grits - weren't stellar but not bad either. The coffee was fresh and hot and the servers kept it coming. The total price was very inexpensive as well so no complaints overall. Everything on the menu seems to very affordably priced.The restaurant is one big room with a bar/counter along one side and a pool table in the corner. Seems like it might do double-duty as a honky-tonk bar on the weekends but when I was there it was quiet. The staff were all friendly and eager to please. I don't know if I will ever be in that part of the world again, but if I am I wouldn't hesitate to go back. I'd give them 4-1/2 stars if I could.

The food is basic and good, the service is always spot on. This is NOT a fancy place, it appears to be a former convenience store, so it's just a great place to eat for a fair price. We eat here just about weekly.

Friendly staff; great food; good prices. Our go to place for breakfast. Big portions and many menu options.

Always a good consistent meal. Occasionally you have to deal with the one waitress with a personality disorder. But, it's the south. We accept these things. A must when in the Pass.

Cleanliness.....food preparation..trash piled in the corner....cleanliness of tables...cleanliness in restrooms. Food was horrible. Not as pictured or described on sticky menue!!! Overall disquesting and did not eat!!!

We ordered the cheese sticks, tots,chicken strips,Daddy burger Cheese sticks were good came out quickly.. wasn't hot in middle so they heated it up for me and was really nice about that.Chicken came out good,came out on softer side so next time I'll order Krispy.Tots were perfectBurger was good,more on the bland side could had used some Johnny's seasoning salt but I have a strong pallet for salt and seasoning.. my boyfriend said the burger was great!Will definitely be backStaff was friendly and attentive.

Portion sizes were great. We shared. Flavor was outstanding. Doesn't look like much from the outside but go on in, the food is awesome.
