Cypress Restaurant and Bar

We wanted to try this restaurant because our friends were in from out of town in Slidell and we wanted to try Christmas drinks! We were NOT disappointed! This restaurant has mixed reviews but we found it wonderful! The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas! We started off with 3 Happy Hour Appetizers which were all good but our favorite was the spinach dip with pasta bow ties chips! So yummy! I couldn't decide which drink to start with when one of the bartenders said she had just created a Mardi Gras "New Fashioned" and made it a Christmas drink with icing and sprinkles. Wow!!!! It was delicious! I went on to have the Christmas Cookie martini which was also delicious and a Grinch Mimosa which was good as well. My friends got the Christmas margarita, the Crème brûlée margarita, eggnog martini and cinnamon White Russian. All were amazing! We actually like all of the drinks better than the ones we had at 2 Holiday pop ups! For entrees we had the Cypress burger which was cooked on point, juicy and flavorful along with cups of gumbo and a salad. All of the food was really good. We had a bonus of being there on Trivia night and had so much fun! The staff along with some of the regulars were extremely friendly and helpful. We all agreed we would be back.

Well the place was empty RED FLAGHad to wait to be seated RED FLAGOder Cajun Pastalaya no problem! Waitress comes back says they can no do it!!! RED FLAG Wife ordered Seafood Platter and side salad the Thousand Island dressing tasted spoiled sent back... RED FLAG I Did the Seafood Scampi.... Scampi gets a 10 out of 10 !!!! Wife seafood platter was over cooked and they forgot her fries... We couldn't find waitress for that Red Flag The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce from a jar... RED FLAG HER STUFFED CRAB OVER COOKED RED FLAG Oysters tasted burnt look at pictures see the different color on stuffed crab and oysters and shrimp all different colors all over cooked but shrimp and scallops and hush puppies were good!! Crab Dip and bow tie pasta was spot on..... for the appetizer... This is our 3rd meal from here but sad to say it will be the last! When we were done couldn't find our server because it look like Happy Hour at the bar... EVEN IF IT WAS ONLY THE EMPLOYEES! SEE PICTURE! GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SEATED THEIR! When I went to bar to find our server they could see I was not a Happy Camper!!! But the manager never came to my table to address any issues are to ask about our food! So if management can't take the time to see a customer that is plainly upset; I will not go back!!! PICTURES SPEAK BETTER THAN MY GRAMMAR ever can! So I Hope this helps the restaurant get better!!!! I don't mind paying for good food but please have some type of quality control!

Cypress Restaurant and Bar in Slidell was a cool spot for a chill night out. Here's what I had:I started with the margarita flight, and it was on point--lots of flavor, definitely set the mood right. I ordered the half-and-half platter with fish and shrimp, a salad, and sweet potato fries. The food was good, but that honey mustard dressing was a little too tangy for me. My husband and I also shared the spinach and artichoke dip with fried bowties and French bread toast, which was probably my favorite part--those fried bowties were a nice surprise!My husband had the Cajun pastalaya. He liked the flavor, but said the sauce was too loose--it could've been thicker for sure.Now, let me tell you, the service was on point! Our waitress was on top of everything and made sure we didn't need a thing. All in all, it was a good spot with a great vibe. I'd definitely come back for drinks, that dip, and the awesome service!

Slidell Seafood Spot *Local Slidell spot right off Gause and Military. BIG menu selections so you are bound to find something you enjoy. This is my second time and not my last. Our waitress was very sweet in helping my mom and friends decide what to pick. Answered all of our questions and we had a lot haha! This was also my first time trying Flounder and VERY good! The way they crosscut the meat, made it very easy to come off. Just watch for little small bones around the edges. We also got the muffaletta and fried shrimp platter. Both were big portions and the shrimp were large. Overall great place, lots of fried options but you can also choose grilled and blackened if you wish. Definitely give it a try when you are in town!

Visited Cypress Restaurant and Bar for lunch with coworkers in Slidell, LA. It offers a delightful dining experience with its chargrilled oysters that are a must-try for seafood enthusiasts. I  personally recommend the chargrilled oysters for their perfect char and succulent taste. The restaurant itself provides a cozy atmosphere that's ideal for a casual meal with friends or family. While the menu features a range of options, the chargrilled oysters was one of the specials for the day so I just had to try them. Our server, Mallory, was great, she was friendly and attentive. Sat at the bar and the bartender made me want to vomit. Dancing around sexually and reaching up as to show everyone his belly. Honestly it was totally appetite killing.

Delicious food! Wonderful staff (even when they were being yelled at and berated by a crazy lady who was looking and acting like a fool). This customer was yelling and used her hands to try to silence anyone who tried to help INCLUDING the owner! The entire restaurant saw and heard her. Her sense of entitlement was high and calling her a "Karen" would be an insult to Karen's lol. If I was one of the employees (or owner) being yelled at like this, she would NOT have been happy about the outcome (not like she was happy to begin with). I was embarrassed for the people that she came in with. Gumbo was top notch, our entire table LOVED it along with the rest of our food and drinks. Highly recommended from a very picky eater.

First time visiting. Hubs & I went for lunch. Had the crabcake poppers, they were awesome. Also the crawfish au gratin, also yummy. Hubs had frog legs, he said they were kinda bland. Our waitress was friendly, and big smile. Food came out hot and timely. The atmosphere had a bayou feel, very nice. We will be back.Moderately priced.

We went for a birthday lunch with 9 people. The food was very goodThe waitress looked like she didn't want to be there. Some of the food for our group and some didn't get thetheir food. Fifteen minutes went by with no communication. When I got up to find out what was going on I couldn't find the waitress. I asked to speak to the manager. When she finally came to speak to me she was rude. When I explained the situation she said she didn't believe me. Then she told me I could leave when I told her as a customer I was dissatisfied. Unfortunately for the owner, I will never bring another group to this restaurant. I do about 15 lunches a year with 10-20 people at each lunch. There are many lovely restaurants in the area. We will chose another the next time
