Great little gem! The Boudin Balls were excellent! I had a roast beef poboy and boy was it good! The bread was soft and the roast beef was tasty! You can get it with gravy but I opted for Mayo, lettuce and tomato and a side order of onion rings which were really good too! Really cute inside and out and reasonably priced! Very friendly staff and owner/chef. Plenty of variety on the menu. Daily specials.

We absolutely love a place that provides great food and great service...and this place does. The fried fish and shrimp platter was perfectly cooked. We had butter milk pie that melted in our mouth! The waitress was amazing!

The only reason for the two stars was that the staff that was there were very nice. We walked in and immediately told limited menu and short staff only two people. They recommended roast beef burger. Which was great because that's what we're wanting anyway. ordered a roast beef dressed and a bacon cheeseburger, about 15 minutes later we were then told they didn't have any lettuce. At this point we just went with it because we had already been there a good 45 mins. ReceIved our food mine was as described roast beef without lettuce. It was hot which I liked and tasted pretty good. My poor husband on the other hand ended up with a bun, patty tomato and Mayo. Of course no lettuce but also no cheese are bacon. We didn't mention it as we were ready to be gone. They also didn't seem to even notice that they didn't put it. Our I've had our tea tasting freezer burnt as well. Our total was $27 I can't tell you if it was right our not because I was never handed the ticket just kinda showed it from a distance to which I saw the total. We were over the experience and wanted to leave so we pid tipped and left. I had such high expectations from everyone's reviews. :(

I heard about this place by accident and I am very glad I did. I have cooked for restaurants and I can tell you this restaurant from the quality and quantity of food you get the prices are very reasonable. I found out they are pretty new so they still have minor bugs to work out with staffing and times to be open but we are not here to leave a review about that. My first meal was an 8oz cheeseburger with bacon. It was so big I think it was actually larger. Juicy and full of flavor. The fries were cajun fries, some of you might say seasoned fries. My second meal was fish and shrimp. By far the best tasting fish in a corn meal coating I have ever eaten. Another meal I tried was the Chicken alfredo only without chicken I had a whole fish filet instead and it did not dissapoint. The Alfredo was not a typical alfredo sauce. Take an alfredo sauce and add a bit of tomato and cajun seasoning. It was not too spicy ( I cannot eat very spicy food it bothers my throat). the bowl was filled and I took most of it home. The boudin balls were the size of almost a cue ball for pool. My husband and son loved them. My husband had a Cajun burger 15 oz and only hate a 1/4 of it it was so huge. The staff works hard and tries to please everyone. If you leave a review please judge only the food. If anyone complained they made it right by the customer. I encourage you to try this little place in the country you will be back for more. Well done Drew and Christina.

Very interesting off the road, quaint location. Very old building with unique character and very unique fixtures especially the ceiling fan brooms. Visited on a Friday night and it was not crowded. Limited menu and availability as with most places during this pandemic. I had the Cajun hamburger, and it was really really good. Not dry at all, fabulous flavor and presentation. French fries not so much... LOL but who wants french fries when the Hamburger is that good! Fun experience! Very nice wait staff!

I went today while riding my golf cart on levee. 7/31/20. I am easy going but for 2 cheeseburgers I order of fries and do medium cokes is extremely high. The fries were so salty I could not eat. The ham cheeseburgers compared to Jake's is a big ass joke. Jake would never put a nasty hamburger like that. The food was extremely inferior for my taste. I want a hamburger not a smoke burger. I wish them the very best. But if this is a top notch chef. He need to go back to school. I would have rated lower but there is no stars to click. Anyone that goes I pray you have a better experience. If I would have now the taste and price while on the levee I could have thrown 35 dollars in the river and had better satification. Sorry but I speak from the heart. Ricky
