Congregation Coffee

My local coffee shop! When I'm in the mood for some fresh coffee and don't feel like brewing it myself this is where I like to go!This location is always busy and is a popular spot for a caffeine fix, especially for people in the Algiers Point Area. It's a great place to work, hang out, or just get some stuff to go. I've done the latter two, and will soon be trying the first option. I like to bring my own coffee cup (reuse!) and get it filled with fresh black coffee. Sometimes if I'm peckish, I'll select a treat from their amazing bakery items. And they really are that good! The cookies and the pastries are absolutely worth it!Drinks: Lots of Caffeine options!Parking: Street parking. Outdoor Seating: There are a few places to sit outside.Dog Friendly: Absolutely!

The coffee can't be beat! I always get a cappuccino made with half-and-half and it's divine! I often get a chocolate croissant because those are delicious and there's much more chocolate in them than other places that you go to. Today, however I got a blackberry danish - delicious! The service there is incomparable. The Baristas know most people by name and they're generous and kind and cheerful all the time! And because I am somewhat wobbly on my l they often bring my coffee out to me so I don't have to carry it. The ambience is perfect! With the beaded board walls, stained glass in the windows, and high high ceilings, the place says 19th century to me! You get the feeling of being in an old building but one that is well kept! Also, the music that's playing is very subtle and relaxing, and the artwork on the walls is colorful and interesting with poetry woven into it. I love to bring the morning paper with me here and just drink in the ambience!

This week in customer service fu**ery. Stacks of king cakes at the counter. But "the manager hasn't told me I can cut any to sell pieces." Could you call the manager? "The manager is on vacation." (BS) And the coffee tastes of molasses, toxic dishwater. Ew. What is that? Weed?

This is a really cute spot with good coffee and food. I've only had a spinach quiche, but it was yummy. My only minor complaint is that the lids pop off of their go cups very easily. It happened to me and a friend.

Congregation Coffee Roasters, a Brennan family coffee roaster, features a variety of coffee beans and ground coffee guaranteed to appeal to coffee enthusiasts. After trying the chicory blend featured at Brennan's restaurant, we decided to take the ferry to Algiers to buy whole beans (the restaurant has ground coffee to purchase). Well worth the journey across the Mississippi to stop in at this local coffee gem. A lovely local coffee spot with beautiful art work and friendly staff members. Super delightfully casual establishment. A great place for a cuppa coffee! wish I lived in Algiers- I'd become a regular!

I'm so glad this place reopened after being closed for a few months. The lattes are so good. I usually get the honey tahini latte and it really is the best here. I've also had their chai latte with honey tahini and it was a hit too. They roast their own beans! Have some cool merchandise. They have a variety of pastries. Currently they are selling Brennan's king cake. Friendly staff. Seating inside and outside available. Located in Algiers Point. Go grab you some coffee and stroll the neighborhood.

We took the ferry to get to Congregation and it was a nice walk. I have been wanting to come back here because they have yummy pastries and this vanilla tahini latte that's incredible. They also used to make Mister Mao chai mix and I really want a bag of it hahaWe grabbed yogurt parfait, quiche, ham and cheese tang a blueberry muffin.

Congregation Coffee deserves wayyy more hype. This is such a quaint, nice place with delicious pastries and coffee. They have oat milk as a dairy-free milk option, and the honey tahini syrup is delicious. I do wish they had more savory pastry/food options, but I loved it, and will definitely be back.
