Crackling review only. I come from a area know for cracking and these are nothing close to any place west of Baton Rouge. Soggy/Fatty/cooked only once and no seasoning. I'm sorry but these are close to plain nasty.

Clean, friendly and amazing selection! Of everything from wine, spices, all kinds of meats, sides, veggies. I've came here a few times and everything we tried has just been off the charts delicious and easy to cook! Awesome small business! Give them a try.

Very clean and brightly lit establisment. A lot more selections that I was expecting. I may return for some of the deer sausage before I depart NOLA. I bought a stuffed chicken and the creamed spinach for dinner. Man, that spinach was rich! In a good way. The chicken was great too. If I had one complaint, it's with the cooking directions for the chicken. The fatty skin never got crisp at 350. If I did it again, I think I may sear the entire bird before baking it, or finish it at a higher temp. Even though the skin made it not look done, it was cooked all the way through and delicious.

This is my first time going to Chris specialty foods. I was greedy when I walked in and they asked me what I needed. Anything specific I was looking for. When you walk in the place screams of flesh Frozen and fresh but I was definitely going for one thing. I heard about the Crawfish bread. When you walk in they have a freezer selection full of all kinds of Cajun and Creole foods that you can pick from and they also have some fresh that they put out daily. The Crawfish bread which I went for is sold by the pound and You have to finish cooking it at home but it was delicious I would recommend putting on the cooking instructions on the package. While I was in there I noticed they had chicken cracklins & pork cracklins along with boudin but the chicken cracklins is what I wanted. This is a definitely good spot. I'll check it out again and it has some reasonable prices on cracklins which were also delicious & made me get an order to go.

I am a 70 years old Cajun, born and raised on Bayou Lafourche, grew up with old world family boucheries in my home town Galliano and know exactly what boudin should be. Your smoked boudin is awful (label says from Baton Rouge, what!). It was dry, mealy and not sure what. Had to ditch it which I rarely do. Please don't showcase a true Cajun treasures with this kind of false representation.

The hospitality and friendliness of this place is amazing I feel part of the family. Not to mention their turducken ordering and pickup was very easy and they accept Apple Pay which made my transaction a lot easier since I forgot my wallet at home. They are reasonable priced too. We had the crawfish rice turducken. Was supposed to get a roll but they ran out and upgraded me so that was great and I am thankful for it. I even had a little extra plates to feed the homeless and meal prep for a week. I have bought other meats here no fee and everything is fresh and great price. Thank you. And happy holidays.

Customer Service:My elderly aunt placed a pick-up order for my birthday on 6/27/23 to be picked up for 6/30/23 because she lives out of state and food is her love language. She talked highly of Chris' and was very excited that there is a location near me.On 6/30 I came in to pick up my order. I said it could be under my name or my aunt's and they ruffled through some paperwork and stated it wasn't there. After I asked to make sure the order wasn't there, they went to the back and came back with a bag marked with sharpie. It had my name and my aunt's but no paperwork. The cashier, Adam, then proceeded to ring me up. I thought it was weird that my elderly aunt would tell me to pick up my birthday gift and then have me pay for it myself because she's not a psychopath. So I asked Adam if it had been paid for. He went on the computer and said he couldn't find anything.He rang me up and I paid for the items and embarrassingly had to call my aunt to confirm that she hasn't paid for it. She was so embarrassed and furious. She had in fact paid for it and it appeared on her bank statement. When she called Chris' she was upset and impatient when the cashier, Tressy, asked her to call her bank and get a proof of payment. She didn't understand why they couldn't look up her cc transaction on their end. I apologize for her being rude but I'm also writing this review to stand up for her after we were taken advantaged of and charged twice. There's no reason that I should've paid AND drive back to the store for my refund because of a lack of honest organization and basic customer service.

Great food and fantastic service. Nice selection of prepared food. A lot of different meats to choose from. I got the turducken. It was great. Boudin was delicious also.

Thank you Laura! For all your time and help in shipping your amazing foods to my cousin for his birthday and teaching this California girl how to speak NOLA! I sent him foods last year from you and he SOOOO loved it all. Wish I was closer and could have some chicken gumbo w/potato salad! I hear from my cousin the food is amazing and the packing was great! You guys are my go to for delicious authentic NOLA food. And.....Laura...you're THE BEST! I look forward to next time!

Great service and amazing food! Adam took my order and made sure everything was taken care of. The boudin king cake was absolutely delicious! I haven't eaten anything there that I didn't enjoy.
