Wow, the food and service at Chi Chi's are great! I'm not a big wing girl, but the soy garlic wings were my favorite. I love the seasoning and the meat was juicy! I also loved the salmon crispy fried rice. It has the perfect texture and taste. For my entree, I ordered the southern fried sandwich. This sandwich is crispy, the meat is juicy, and the ranch makes for the perfect bite. Chi chi's is cute, has good vibes, and the food is excellent. I will definitely be back!

I decided to try this place with my foodie nephew and we both enjoyed our meal. The service was great here.I had an espresso martini and that was really good. The chicken wings were the best part of our meal. They were really tasty. The chicken sandwich was also great. I was getting pretty full so I didn't get to try the kimchi rice but my nephew really enjoyed it. I didn't really enjoy the sushi sando. It was too much rice and not enough meat. In pics it looks like the rice and meat portions are more equal but in reality the meat was two strips of chicken (about the size of chicken strips on a fajita) and about 4xs as much rice. We also got the strawberries and cream Kakigori and that was ok.

The idea is great, but fell short when executed. It's a fun place to hang--it tries to have the Korean dive bar feel. Where I sat, my not-so-sturdy chair kept sliding around as the floor is slanted. Easily fixable, moving on.Growing up eating KFC in NYC, this was not it for me. Maybe because it was busy, my wings were soggy, I forced myself to eat a few. The sauces were mild, I wish they offered a really spicy option. The soy garlic was nice though. I was disappointed that radishes weren't given with them with that price point, which is a staple. The kakigori was flavorless and quite petite. Will try again in a few months to give them time to make some much needed tweaks and rewrite the review!

Came on a Friday night and it was packed!! Small space, so we had an hour wait to sit at the bar. Which was fine, we got a drink across the street and they just called us when they had a spot open. The crispy rice with tuna and cucumber salad were both pretty good but we added soy sauce to both. I wish they would've come with their own sauces that had more flavor, but still very yummy. Now the wings were amazing! I'm not usually a wing girlie, but the batter and fry on these were so good. We got the soy glaze and I loved it. The service was attentive once we sat down. We will be back!

They just opened when I visited, so I think they were still trying to work out the kinks. I was immediately greeted when I walked through the door. I ordered the wings and cucumbers. The wings were not good, which I was surprised. I thought they would've had more of a spice to them. Now they they've been opened for a little bit longer I will go back and try their food. Also, try something else on the menu.

Decent KFC style wings/Sando's in Nola. Obviously not the best I've had compared to what you get in Seoul but for Nola it will do. Both wings flavors are great although I'm a big gochujang fan so this is my favorite. The KFC sandwich has been my go to. Also nice to see that they have a N/A beer option for those who wish to enjoy their wings with a beer but the non alcoholic route. They also have these Japanese shaved ice called Kakigori, big fan!

Tucked in between the Bagel shop and a coffeehouse it's easy to miss, but you should definitely check this place out if you like Korean style wings. Staff is friendly. They have a few kinds of soju and beers available. We ordered the 12 piece wings (shoyu and kochujang mix), KFC sandwich, cucumber, and friend rice.Everything was good. The wings were definitely on par with Korean style wings I used to eat while living in Honolulu. KFC sandwich was really good. Cucumber salad was ok - I wish I'd ordered the daikon instead. The fried rice was ok. Next time I'll probably just stick with the wings and KFC sandwich. Also, not sure why but the chairs we sat on slid on the ground... like literally slid. I think it's the wooden chair legs on the glossy painted concrete ground.

We finally got to try this new Korean chicken and beer (or 치맥) spot the other day and there were definitely a lot of highs and lows. First off, I think they do a really great job of making sure the wings are crunchy and well-seasoned and the gochujang wings in particular made us very happy. That being said, I think they're missing one extra special ingredient to take the soy garlic wings to the next level. I also really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice but I think the rice should have been fried a little bit longer so that the crunch comes from the rice itself and is not reliant on the crispy onions thrown on top. That said, I appreciate the Korean and Japanese flavors infused into the dish with the chef taking a few liberties at reinterpreting the classic Korean dish in his own way. As far as additional menu items go, the salmon sushi sando was tasty but nothing to write home about and the KFC sandwich was hearty but lacking the flavor that was evident in the gochujang wings. We also weren't too impressed with the portion sizes, given the price point. I usually don't comment on the prices at all but charging $12 for a tiny cart of fried rice seems a bit unreasonable. I understand that operating a business on Freret street is expensive, but I think that ChiChis could do a better job at distinguishing between the sides and the mains--while also maybe throwing in a bit extra.Hopefully this review helps them improve upon a few things in the future, I'm happy to see more Korean spots in NOLA and I look forward to their success and continued improvement. I also love the vibes and street noise that came with this dining experience, we sat outside with our pupper and got to take in all the sights and sounds as the sun began to set ~

There's so little Korean food representation in Nola, and even the traditional restaraunt in Metairie was not up to my standards. I don't know exactly how traditional this spot is, but I at least had a better experience here than I did there.I tried 4 items at the bar. The weakest was the cucumber salad. It did not impress me at all and was the only bad thing. They should take some pointers from the guy on TikTok. And make it spicy and remove the crunchy part of the salad. The radishes were solid and delicious. Nothing else to say. I wish they were free though. I guess we ARE uptown...The fried chicken sushi sandwich was okay. It was very small for the price. The actual Korean chicken sandwich was alright. I probably wouldn't order it again. It had too much slaw. I would also advertise it as a slider as it was tiny. I think they should add some of those radishes to the sandwich to fix it personally. One thing I realized is that everything seems very transient. The place just opened so I expect it will get better. Everything used temporary plates and the like. The sushi sandwich was wrapped in plastic wrap and everything was disposable. Presentation of things could be waaaay better. Servers were great and helpful. This place was packed and they still were great. The space is cute and they made the most of the limited space they have. A personal pet peeve of mine are service fees. I think of myself as an alright tipper, better than average people, but whenever I see anything resembling a service fee my desire to tip goes way down. This place has a flat 3.5% service fee which isn't the worst, but again, a pet peeve.
