Here's a little backstory. I had the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia several years back and, while I was there, I had to try a real cheesesteak! Ick. I guess I went to the wrong location, which several Phileans confirmed, but still...how could it be that bad?Fast forward to today, Metairie, Louisiana, Lakeside mall. Charley's Cheesesteaks are just sooooo good and sooooo much better! Fresh and hot, with all the best stuff on it...if I am at Lakeside, I'mma eat a Philly, fo sho.Tender, juicy steak, creamy melted cheese and a soft roll that stands up to the filling. I was really glad Petunia was full and didn't want her half...just sayin'.Terrific service, too, these guys are on the ball and slinging sandwiches like nobody's business. Sitting here waiting on the little dudes, seriously thinking about bringing one home with me. A sandwich, not a little dude, although they're coming, too. :)

Not a bad place in Lakeside Mall food court; they put plenty of meat in the cheesesteak. Fries aren't freshly made but ok. Came here because Raising Cane's was shut down (Jefferson Parish water advisory), which then led to crazy lines at Chick Fil A which is what I really wanted.

Oh... Emmm.. Geee!!! This restaurant is located in the food court inside the mall. I've never been to one of these "Charley's" before, but it's apparently a chain. They had many options for the sandwiches, including chicken and turkey options. I ordered the jalapeño philly steak sandwich and my friend ordered the pepperoni philly steak. Both of these sandwiches were incredible!! I mean, they had flavor, they were extremely fresh and hot, and everything about the sandwich worked together in terms of flavors!The service could, however, have been a little better in the area of friendliness and hospitality, but otherwise, my experience with "Charley's Philly Steaks" was my first time trying them, and I can say I plan on being a very loyal customer now. The food is awesome!

A very disappointing experience! I cannot speak as to the food, as I was unable to order. But the customer service is terrible!! My wife and I are both veterans and went to this location last month. They were supposed to be offering a Veterans Day special, and it was just like some free fries or something. Nothing major. But it wasn't honored. The manager, I think it was, an Asian gentleman was very rude about it. I asked him, so what do you not support veterans and he said that he didn't. I've never felt so disrespected. I've since reached out to the corporate and they were great, offering me a free cheesesteak at any Charleys locations. I'm going to save it for another time at a different store. Definitely won't be supporting this location with my business!! I advise everyone to do the same. In truth, I've eaten here before and the food isn't even all that good. The sandwiches are always dry and don't have much flavor. But we were at the mall anyway, and figured why not get something to snack on while we shopped. WRONG. Do yourself and everyone a favor and go elsewhere. Being Louisiana, there are much better and even cheaper options out there. Support a business that supports this country!!!

I wish we had a free standing Charleys! Until then,I'll go in the mall for it when I'm craving it! I love the small chicken philly with fries!! It's super filling and you can add whatever toppings you may like. I'm a traditional philly girl so just meat, cheese and peppers for me! Their lemonades are BOMB, it's served with real fruit purée. It can be a little sweet if you order the small, so ask for light purée.

We stopped by the food court before going to the airport. I wanted something that I don't normally eat and chose to eat here. I had a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Service was quick also.

Located right in the middle of the Lakeside food court, this was one of the cleaner looking places in the food court at dinner time on a weekday. I'm not sure what that says about the standards here, but it is a mall food court.The 3 people who were working actually smiled and were friendly, which is unusual, but good. Everything was clean. I was able to order quickly and was able to see them actually cooking the meat for the sandwich. In no time at all, I got fresh food and fries right out of the deep fryer. Amazing.This is not a 5 star restaurant, but for what it is, the service was good, the food was good, and I filled that hole in my stomach, and there were no issues after. Great job!

My favorite addition to the malls food court!! Charley's never disappoints. *drools* I've only had the chicken philly and the regular Philly cheesesteak and they are both to die for. Biting into that soft warm bread with the ooey gooey cheese is life changing! I know this is big talk for fast food but I'm serious! It's worth dealing with trying to find parking and walking through an overly crowded mall

Quite possibly the worst meal I can remember paying for. The classic cheesesteak contained a meat that resembles beef but I'm not certain it was. It had one spot on the entire sandwich that contained any cheese The side of fries were as close to uncooked as I am sure is legally acceptable

I'm so upset. I picked up a Uber eats and the name on it was Sean P. They give me the order I go deliver it and realize they don't have the soda in the bag or orange Fanta. Come to find out the delivery is for Sean Payton yes Sean Payton, I literally fell on the ground that they could just give out orders don't check them was very dismissive and I'm embarrassed. I guess I won't get no big tip. Then I'm trying to call and voicemail is full. who does that? they have me out here looking bad and unprofessional. This was a once in a lifetime meet and The order was wrong
