Caywood And Randazzo's Bakery

Best King Cake in the city - Hands down! Not to mention their customer service was wonderful. There was an event in our neighborhood on Kings Day, requiring that our street be blocked off. Of course we needed our first King Cake of the season, so we went at the opening time listed on Google. Unfortunately this was the incorrect time, however they went out of their way to ensure that we received our King Cake! Not make bakeries would have done this, especially when the mistake was ours (the correct time was posted on their Facebook page, which I had not checked). Thanks again, Caywood & Randazzo!

This place will never get my business again I walked in and they looked at me like they did not want me there the people where not nice at all the doughnuts and doughnut holes where nasty and not fresh they had a weird taste to them the doughnuts where the chocolate covered and they where face down in the box

Ok, let me just say, I was SOOOO excited for a Randazzo's Bakery finally coming to the parish. I'm sad to say, it's far from the Randazzo's that we have all come to know and love in Metairie. This Caywood & Randazzo's is super cute, very nicely constructed and has a great location for being in Chalmette. But as for the important part... the baked goods.... it's not good... it's actually kind of bad. Not by any means "spit out your food" bad, but extremely disappointing. I've visited this bakery soooo many times thinking I was getting "an old batch" but things never seem fresh. The king cakes are very good but that's about it. The doughnuts are not good, the cakes are terrible, and the little "bakery treats" (petit fours, mini cakes, cookies, etc) are not on par with real bakery items. Their selection is also extremely limited. No eclairs, no cannoli's, little carrot cakes, and other things you would expect from a regular neighborhood bakery. I really, really wanted to like it... but I honestly just don't.

We sent the king cake to a family member out of state and she has not stopped raving about it and how it's the best one she has ever eaten! She is from here and said the people in her clinic went nuts over it. They all raved how fresh and delicious it was. So glad we tried you and we will be using you all from now on for out of state deliveries! Calling next week to send another one out.... Not to mention customer service was amazing! Shipped the next day after our order and received the following day.

Delicious pastries and especially great King Cakes! Always friendly and courteous service. They even shipped a KC to my relatives in Ohio! Oh, and the petit fours and eclairs are to die for! YUM!

They are not really friendly. Very dry attitudes. But king cakes are good. But price going up and-cakes getting smaller

Saturday, March 11, 2017, I had the occasion to pickup their last Cream Cheese 'filled' medium king cake for our Sunday, March 12, 2017 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Metairie. I was excited to get this after the high ratings from YELP. Well I opened the bag, cut the cake into several pieces, decided to taste and see what the high rating were about----WELLLL I was embarrassed after eating just one piece...nothing but very thick glazed sugary coating, A TON OF CINNAMON AND ONLY A FEW AREAS OF THE KING CAKE HAD ANY CREAM CHEESE WHICH WAS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A WOODEN PENCIL! I totally apologized to all who tried a slice and no one actually ate their entire 2 inch slices hat I cut. After two hours of viewing the parade, more than half remained and just prior to leaving (3 hours later), NO ONE WANTED TO TAKE THE REMAINDER OF THE KING CAKE...I tossed the remainder into the days' garbage. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY CAYWOODS/RANDAZZO King Cake ever again!!!! John Castelluccio, Jr.
