There's something so sublime about sitting way up above from it all, sipping on a cocktail on a warm summer night. I feel like New Orleans was a little late to the game with these types of places, but now we have a decent array (typically at hotels like this one). And like most of the other rooftop bars at hotels, you don't have to be a hotel guest to take advantage! This past Saturday evening was surprisingly quiet up there, possibly due to White Linen happening on the other side of the CBD. I wasn't complaining, believe me! It was perfect out there for me and just when I thought things couldn't possibly get better, I saw the cocktail menu. Frosé, baby! Passionfruit frosé, yes please. Also, prices are not as high as you'd expect. My guy got a $3 Modelo. Frosé was $8. Pretty views of the surrounding buildings, fairy lights against the dark summer sky and a slight breeze... living my best life with a glass of frozé in mah hand. Thanks, Catahoula!

The Tito sours were to expectations. However, the barmaid pilfered my new Maui Jim's. Left on the counter for a half a minute, came back: Oddly enough she didn't know where they were, she was the only other person in the bar. Not going back.

Popped up as a wine bar in Yelp but it's a hotel rooftop. The space is nice but the drinks are just ok. I got served wine in a plastic cup. I guess it worked out since we came late and walked out with our drinks. The pisco punch is with tequila and not a traditional pisco.

Nice chill rooftop bar hidden from view with beautiful piece of open sky above. Vibin' music playing over a patio mixed with sofas, small tables and chairs. A place for everyone to find a comfortable spot to hold court. The duck confit is excellent!!

Stop into this hidden bar with a friend on a bike tour of Happy Hours around the city. Catahoula offers cocktails you may not find anywhere else in NOLA with its Peruvian influences. Though the cocktails are still rather expensive even during the happy hour compared to other happy hours the fact that they are not your typical sazerac makes up for it. The food menu is pretty good for happy hour with half price off appetizers. The star of the show is the upstairs rooftop bar. Very cool as you dont off see roofs used much in the hot climate of New Orleans.

I love the Catahoula! I have been here numerous times. I feel like there's a magnetic force drawing me here each time I come to NoLa as I just always happen to stumble upon it. It is a very fun rooftop atmosphere. They often have a DJ playing. We recently stopped in around 9pm on A Friday night and it wasn't that busy surprisingly. But it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the music. Attentive and friendly service, good drinks, and fair prices. Plus, the view from the beautiful rooftop cant be beat!

Came here for a company function. Service was fine, it was hot but there were fans at every direction so was tolerable. Building was very historic. The bar tender kept our drinks going so all good

I love rooftop season!! So as soon as I moved back home, I decided that touring NOLA's rooftops was a high priority (probably second only to the brunch tour)! I'll start by saying that I wanted to love this place so much more than I did... Moderate in size, the decor definitely made you feel at home with options for more chill, comfortable group seating, side tables for date night, or high chair bar style seating for girls night. The view was suboptimal at best. Like sure you can see the sky, but mainly the place felt like it was drowning in a sea of buildings. I've been to shorter roofs before, but they normally featured something like a unique, albeit partial, view, a pool, or a waterfall that made it feel more worthwhile. At this place, if you looked away from your conversation, it generally felt like staring out the window of an office building. The drinks were great- strong, tasty, hand crafted, but the service was deplorable. So anytime you go somewhere where the bartender/mixologist is more so creating art than throwing together drinks, you can expect a delay in service bc each masterpiece takes time (as it should). The rooftop bar had three major flaws that I witnessed:1. Lack of bar personnel- one bartiste isn't enough when it takes 10-15 mins to make one drink. There was a second person working on the rooftop, but her job seemed limited to ringing ppl up & keeping the bar area clean.2. Disregard to first come, first served- if you're averaging over 5 minutes per drink, it's imperative that you keep up with the order in which people arrive & order their drinks. That's the only thing that eliminated the disparity of one person waiting 15-30 mins for a drink and another waiting over an hour. 3. Insufficient ingredients- if your handcrafted beverages require special ingredients, you can't run out!! Especially not for your bestsellers. Especially not early in the day. Especially when you're not super busy. A couple ladies who were visiting from London ended up bartering with a guy for his drink when he got the last once... Sad days indeed. The aroma in the air made it clear that this roof is 420 friendly. Not what I was expecting nor my thing, but just FYI in case that's what you're hoping to find or avoid. In a city where great drinks are a dime a dozen, this rooftop bar leaves far too much to be desired with slightly more costly drinks, a view that's mediocre at best, & service that's substandard by far. Effectively removing it from my rooftop list & adding it in with the patios for now... May try it again later in my tour, but I'll be sure to keep my expectations to a minimum. Will update this review PRN... But don't hold your breath for it.

Really enjoyed the general atmosphere at this place. Stopped by on a Sunday and it was quiet and not crowded. However, the biggest problem we had is that the bar on the rooftop wasn't open. Basically you had to order your drink from the first floor and then take the elevator up to the third floor seating area. So, while the third floor seating area was lovely, and the seats were comfortable, having to take the elevator to and from the bar to get another round meant we cut our stay shorter than planned. Beer and food selection are both fairly limited as well. Good for a drink, but that's about it.

Nice and cozy tucked away rooftop bar. The bartender Sean is also a DJ. There's a nice selection of refreshing fresh fruit based-drinks to go along with incredible music to get you in a good mood.
