I don't get home a lot but i had to come on for a funeral this time. While here I wanted to partake of a little New Orleans cuisine and to my surprise I wanted a shrimp sandwich one of the nights I was here and it was around 8 pm and everything in the area I was in was closed. I didn't remember it being like this.So the next day still having that hunger for it. I pulled up at Castnet. They were pretty busy but I was willing to wait. I stepped in an they immediately took my order and gave me a number. While waiting I decided to go onto the other side where they sell the uncooked seafood to get a few shrimp to fry for later that nite. While over there they called my number and they held my order until I cam e back to pick it up. Once I arrived at my destination I was able to enjoy what took me two days to get.

We stop here every time we roll into town. We split a fried shrimp po'boy and I got a turkey neck too. Fantastic as always ! You can tell the shrimp was super fresh and the po'boy was just loaded with them. Go here, you'll never be disappointed!

Castnet is my favorite place to get fried seafood in the East. It is crowded at times, so I usually call my order in so that I do not have to wait. They are not as heavy on the sodium anymore that they used to sprinkle on the shrimp. Shrimp plates are large enough to feed 2 or 3.

Seafood was tasty and as fresh as can be, and very affordable. Loved that we could buy portions of each thing as we wanted. Service is no frills and straightforward, helpful enough, but it's really charming and fit what we wanted.

If you like Cajun seafood, look no further than Castnet Seafood, where you can get a great meal at reasonable prices. I was surprised by the selection of seafood prepared in a variety of different ways from fresh to boiled to fried. I ended up going for the fried catfish plate, while my partner went for the shrimp plate, and it was honestly surprising how massive each plate came out to be (at least 4 catfish filets and 20-30 shrimp). Food came out fresh within 15 minutes and was polished clean soon after. Will stop by again the next time we are in the area!Pros: Fresh, affordable, and delicious seafood. Cons: Separate lines for fried vs boiled/fresh seafood without marked signs. Ended up ordering just fried food this time, but next time will try boiled shrimp and fresh oysters! Parking situation can be challenging depending on time of day. Open parking lot on side, but can fill up quickly

Casnet is one of the original seafood spots either boiled or fried you won't go wrong. Fried fresh to order huge fried catfish filet and yes I said catfish one of the best places they give you what you pay for. Some restaurants say they sell catfish but it's not catfish. So if you're looking for great boiled and fried fresh seafood please stop in you can even place your order over the phone

The food is awesome! The service is good. And the people working are awesome! The atmosphere is real and authentic. It's been 14 years since I was here last. The food was as good as always! We had oysters (friend and halfshwll) we had shrimp poyboys, we had catfish, we had boiled crawfish, and we had stuffed crabs. We also about needed a wheelbarrow to get us back to the car. LOVE this place!! All time great!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!, the food here is always fresh and tasty . Best shrimp poboy in the city ! Turkey necks have a nice kick to them too ! You can call on the phone and order and just pick up too !

Nice big plates with good serviceI go here often to get a good fish plate. I am definitely recommending this location

I have been a fan for years, but not anymore. Last week I ordered 3 Shrimp PO-Boys and a fish plate. All was under seasoned including the potato salad. The fish was on the verge of going bad. I was very disappointed. Unfortunately, when I returned home, they were closed. All of the good cooks are gone. The fry on the seafood was ok but the taste was bland.
