Cajun Shack NOLA

I was on a study break and was deciding wether or not to get some food. I am definitely glad we came across this place. We couldn't decide on what to get, so we got a bit of everything. Crawfish, Sausage, potatoes/corn, wings, and baked spaghetti. (I honestly wanted to order more like their gumbo or red beans and rice, but I had to control myself) All of the food was great.1. Baked spaghetti reminded me of when we used to have it for school lunches but better! They added sliced sausage in there too, so it was a little change up from the norm.2. Crawfish was a great size with a great flavor! Definitely had a kick to it, but is it really NOLA/ Cajun crawfish if it didn't? 3. Chicken wings is my soft spot. We couldn't eat it until we got home, but they remained crispy and crunchy. Wings were a good size especially considering their price for them. 4. Sausage/potatoes/ corn were the typical classic sides! Couldn't go wrong. I will definitely be back. Ive been hearing others talk about their gumbo, red beans and rice, and Shrimp Hi-Hop. I just couldn't get them all this trip without being full for the next 3 years DEFINITELY a place worth trying if you haven't already!

I'm glad they serve Patton's Hot Sausage here. Too many places serve a regular weiner when you ask for hot sausage. The hot sausage patty was cooked perfectly, but they missed the mark by using the wrong bread. The taste and texture were off because of it. For an authentic hot sausage on a bun, I feel you need Bunny Bread--it's a game-changer!"

Place is a little cluttered and employees are pretty rude but other than food is great.

Everything fresh clean and tasted perfect. Just the fix when you need some seafood on a friday

I didn't like seafood before working here and it changed the game! It is a place for a quick bite! If I had to recommend anything to anyone it would 100% be the turkey wing. My grandma is actually obsessed with it because of how flavorful it was!

One thing I can say is the food and the service are awesome. The seafood is seasoned well. My favorite on the menu is the garlic butter king crabs. I also love the shrimp and broccoli.

Came to visit NOLA from Texas. I was overwhelmed by all the seafood places to eat but I ended up picking this place. I'm so glad I picked it!!! Everything was so flavorful and delicious!!! My whole family loved it. I especially loved the spicy crawfish and corn. My sister ordered gumbo which was also great. The snow crab was also delicious, I just didn't have the tool to eat it with :P. I will come here again when I visit NOLA! Thanks for a great seafood experience, Louisiana style.

The Food is good and service was fast. I've sent friends and family to the restaurant and they like the food too. The only down side is that you have to check with workers to see if the seafood is local. Some of the seafood is not local.

I got a seafood platter, half fish half shrimp. I specifically asked if it was catfish or not because I know some places like to use basa fish (cheaper fish) and just say it's catfish. Yea I'm sorry but I highly doubt that's catfish. I recognize the difference, if you eat catfish regularly then you'll immediately notice the difference. PS - The plate was more full then the photo. I tried to spilt it with my wife but both of us ended up trashing the fish after a few bites. Lol Shrimp was good though. I hate writing bad reviews but I just wish local seafood spots would stop doing this.

This is a convenient location if you live in the New Orleans East area. I've had their red beans and crawfish. The red beans are nice and seasoned and the rice is perfectly cooked. Their crawfish is just hot enough where it's still edible and they taste fresh (some seafood restaurants in New Orleans East have the tendency of using rotten crawfish). The service at this location is pretty satisfactory, I'd say. The employees are friendly and quick. I haven't had a single bad experience with the employees so far. The inside is fairly small, however, and there are no seats or tables, so you might have to sit in your car or stand if your order ends up taking a while.Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars, because I've only tried 2 menu items here and the inside lacks seating. Occasionally, orders will take long but the employees have always told me estimated wait times and were fairly accurate so far. Also, I haven't been to this location since sometime in 2022, so maybe the quality has changed overtime. Apparently, they are available on Uber Eats and DoorDash, however I've never ordered from Cajun Shack online, so I can't really determine if it's satisfactory or not.
