Cafe Du Monde in City Park is a beautifully relaxing vibe. This cafe is also massive like the original location, however it is much less noisy, so you can hear who you're speaking to. My reviews of City Park as well as the original location of Cafe Du Monde are pending. There isn't a lot of decision making necessary, when selecting what to get at this legendary Cafe. The entire menu consists of just two items. Their classic beignets and their Cafe au Lait. You may get the coffee hot or iced.At the City Park location you must place your order at the window. Each order of beignets comes with three. The three beignets and a coffee will run you around $10, depending on the coffee size. They were ready very quickly. This is probably why there are no other items on the menu, because they're constantly, all day, everyday making fresh beignets. Now, be prepared to be COVERED in powdered sugar, especially if you're wearing black, which I was. These beignets are fresh, hot and heavily loaded in powdered sugar. They are soft, airy, fried, and pretty addictive. Their coffee is a very strong dark roast, you could see why it's been sold to every New Orleans tourist and local for over 160 years. We sat outside at Cafe Du Monde overlooking the beautiful City Park and enjoying their traditional goods.

This was my first time at Cafe du Monde and I went to the City Park location which was much larger and cleaner. (Plus, having beignets and coffee at this beautiful park? Come on.)I hate to say it but the beignets were just ok. They were tasty enough but small, flat, chewy and drowning in powdered sugar. Maybe they were sitting out for a while? Idk but I didn't see the big deal. The coffee was good though. As for service, the staff was friendly enough but it's a busy place so don't expect too much. They have a lot going on.

I prefer this location over the mostly tourist taken over location in the Quarter - been going here since I was a little kid. Actually tastes much better, too. Service is always quick and staff is super friendly.

Café Du Monde - City Park offers a more relaxed, spacious alternative to the original French Quarter location. Nestled in the heart of City Park, it's a perfect spot to enjoy the iconic beignets and café au lait while surrounded by the park's natural beauty. What We Tried: * Beignets: Just like at the original location, the beignets at Café Du Monde - City Park are light, fluffy, and dusted with a generous amount of powdered sugar. We grabbed a small batch to enjoy while strolling around the park. * Café au Lait: We paired our beignets with the classic Café au Lait, made with strong, flavorful coffee and steamed milk. It was the perfect accompaniment to the sweet, fried dough.Atmosphere:The atmosphere here is much more laid-back compared to the bustling French Quarter location. The café is located right in the park, offering a peaceful environment to relax and enjoy your treats. There's plenty of seating, both indoors and outside, with a lovely view of the park's greenery. It's a great spot to unwind and take in the natural surroundings while sipping on your coffee. On Easter Day, the park was packed with locals enjoying the holiday, which added to the lively, community vibe. After grabbing our souvenirs, we took a quick stroll around the park before heading out to explore more of New Orleans.Service:The service was friendly and quick, and the staff was attentive to our needs. It was nice to have a more relaxed pace compared to the busier French Quarter location.Pro Tips: * The City Park location is less crowded than the original, making it a great option if you want to avoid the long lines. * It's a perfect spot to combine a visit to City Park with a delicious treat, so be sure to take a stroll around the park after your meal.Overall Thoughts:Café Du Monde - City Park is a fantastic option if you're craving beignets and coffee in a more peaceful, scenic setting. Whether you're a local or a visitor, it's a great place to enjoy the famous treats without the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. If you find yourself in City Park, don't miss the chance to stop by!

A must try if you're visiting NOLA! I was specifically recommended this location because it's located in City Park. So glad I tried them first at this location! The park is beautiful and serene. It wasn't loud and crowded like the one in the French Market. This cafe is large and they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. I ordered from their outdoor window but you can also go inside to order. The beignets themselves did not let us down. They come in orders of 3 and honestly, one person can eat all 3 because they are warm, pillowy, and not too sweet. Simply delicious!

They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It was chilly out in December so we opted for indoor dining. But ordered outside as we didn't know there was an indoors when we placed our order. The beignets were not what I expected. They were drier than I expected. They are is a type of deep-fried pastry of French origin. It is commonly made from pâte à choux, but can also be made using yeast-leavened batters. Beignets can be served in a variety of preparations, the most common being dusted with confectioner's sugarYou must try a beignet if you visit Nee Orleans.

Ambience: A+I already reviewed the main location (spoiler: it's amazing), but I had to check out this spot after seeing some people say it doesn't measure up. Honestly? I didn't find that to be true at all. The beignets and coffee tasted exactly the same, and I might even like the vibe here a little more. The setting is gorgeous, tucked right into City Park, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed compared to the hustle and bustle of the original.Customer Service: A-Service was friendly and efficient, with the bonus of credit card payments here--huge plus if you forgot to bring cash! It's still self-seating, but it's much less chaotic than the original location.Price/Value: A+The prices are the same as the main spot, and the quality doesn't skip a beat. Whether you're here for breakfast, a snack, or just a quick coffee break, it's worth every penny.Food: A+The beignets and coffee? Still the best. Fluffy, hot, and dusted with just the right amount of powdered sugar. They taste exactly like the ones at the original location, so if you're worried about that, don't be.Final Thoughts:While I still think everyone should visit the main location at least once for the experience, this spot is a fantastic alternative. It's calmer, takes credit cards, and lets you check two things off your NOLA to-do list: enjoying beignets and exploring the beauty of City Park. If you're debating whether it's worth the visit, let me save you the trouble--it absolutely is!

This location is right in the middle of city park so it's very pretty and surrounded by fun park activities and trees. The line wasn't too bad, and they also had plenty of seating available. Pricing was honestly great, with the 3 beignets being less than $5 and coffee also being decently priced. I had a large cafe ai lait coffee, and it was so big! Be aware of that as I had no hope of finishing it and ended up throwing away at least 1/4 of the drink. The beignets were our first ever, and I'm so glad we had them here. They came out super fast and hot and literally coated in powdered sugar. 10/10 experience, highly recommend, don't visit New Orleans without getting the Cafe Du Monde beignets!
