Cafe Delphine

I went to the casino on a Sunday night and Cafe Delphine was the only place serving food. I was a little bummed Mr. Lester's wasn't open. I took a chance and tried the gumbo and let me tell you, it was very good! It was so good in fact, I went and did a little gambling then went back and got another bowl to go to the room. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Service was non sincere at all. Just plop down your dinner and didn't ask if we needed anything.

The service here is terrible!!!! The food is good but the service not good. We come every Sunday, but it's not worth it. I don't have a complaint on the food, but I miss the other side where they had the bands and disco. The lucky dogs are gone. The good food restaurants are gone, and no one wants tacos come on. This place has fallen a lot. First this place was a buffet for food. Then they closed it and now no buffet. They closed it and now they reopen it. Idk but who ever is the guy or girl doing the decisions here doesn't know how to navigate this hotel/casino. I feel so sorry to say "don't come here" it's not worth your money and time.

Everyone is so happy you're back open.. maybe it was an off night but the shrimp i had weren't that great. Wouldn't order them again.

Service is bad! Only ordered a salad & wings. I had brown lettuce leaves and super soft tomatoes. My friend only ordered salad and her tomatoes were rotten. The waitress didn't even come to our table often & they weren't that busy! Needless to say I won't be back

Disclaimer: this review was during a Wednesday at 7 PM. Do you like waiting in line for 1 hour? Do you like waiting for your food for an additional 1 hour? Do you enjoy bland food? Do you enjoy poor service? If you answer yes to all of these questions, then this place is for you! Casinos are usually known for excellent food, and this place is the exception.

First, the wait to get in didn't seem warranted. Several tables open, still a long line. Second, I've had better steaks at Waffle House. I think they use the same steak knives too. Steak itself: 5/8" thick, small crown, some gristle, came out warm with no char (I ordered med rare with a char), poor marbling. Thirdly, waitress gave me my food and didn't see her again until she asked if was ready for the check. The tators augratin were ok, chucks of potatoes drenched in jalapeño nacho cheese sauce then baked. Homemade yeast rolls were good! I do not recommend especially at their price points.

The stuffed crabs and fried fish were delicious. The plates were packed; the was no slack on the amount in the order. The only slight negative would be the time it took to receive our order. The restaurant wasn't too busy which made me wonder why it took longer than usual. There could have been take out orders that caused the slow down. Even with that; I have to say the service was good. The ambiance was spot on; not too much light but enough to see what you're eating. Scoring a 5 star for the taste of the food. Welcome back Cafe Delphine!!

Someone in our party wanted Cole slaw instead of french fries. We were told they couldn't so we had to pay an additional $5. When the Cole Slaw came, it was sour. Told a young lady and she said "Yeah, the last people said that and I don't know why they didn't throw it out". Along comes another person and she said she could substitute it with potato salad or fries???? When someone said that we'll just get reimbursed for it, she said, "Oh we don't do that."

Waited 20 minutes to place a take out order. Waited 44 minutes for the order, which was wrong, and only discovered at home. Just no. Not acceptable.
