This is basically the only place I go to when I'm in Baldwin... there is nothing around Baldwin that can compare to this place, other than Mr. Lester's.. which is on a total different level..This facility is located inside Cypress Bayou Casino, and is full of friendly people. Their dishes are huge and for a very nice price! We tried a lot of dishes here, which are listed below:-Crab Cakes: crab cakes with crawfish andoille cream sauce, this is a very good app, especially when its fresh, the crab cakes works well with the richness of the sauce-Chicken & Sausage Gumbo: their gumbo here is awesome, very authentic, and the roux is very seasoned and good!-Bayou Burger: the burger here are huge and juicy, very nice in flavor, topped with bacon and grilled goodies.. yum-Baby Back Ribs: there ribs here are so cheap and delicious! they offer from half racks to whole and a half, very delicious and tender-Country Fried Steak: its HUGE!! OMG, when this dish came, I couldn't believe how big it really was, and how cheap! It was delicious, but there's other dishes on the menu that I feel beat this dish by miles...-Hamburger Steak: pretty good, has very nice flavors and oh so hearty!-Ribeye Steak: this is probably my most favorite dish here, the steak are always cooked to perfection and with decent pricing!Overall, I always go here, and the food and service is pretty consistent, so if you're ever in town or at the casino, check this place out if you're ready for some good eating for cheap!

We drove over from Baton Rouge for a concert. We ate @ Cafe Bayou and it was great. Had the seafood sampler , catfish , shrimp , frog. legs and boudin balls . It included Gumbo and a salad . Every thing was fresh and cooked perfectly. The wife and I split this and added a cup of corn & crab soup . Loved everything !I you go , ask for Ms. Gail she took great care of us !

Slow, slow service! Had to wait for a booth, then sat and waited an additional 20 minutes. Mind you, it was not packed. We got up & left. We'll spend our money elsewhere.

This restaurant is located inside of Cypress Bayou Casino.. It is the very best reason to go to the casino.. The food here is fantastic. Service can be a little trying at times, and the lines can be long, but the food is worth it. Huge portions, at a very attractive price. I have eaten there at least half a dozen times, and each time, is as good as the first. This is as good as restaurant as there is in Acadiana. Even for Cajun food.. It is wonderful.. Must go try it..

No. Just don't go. It's very very bad. As I have said in my other reviews for the casino and hotel they have GREAT service but the food here has been awful both times I have eaten here. I mean REALLY AWFUL. I hate to say that because I love the business and the service but it is really really really bad food - even for a casino. The first time I was here I tried the fried catfish, it tasted and smelled like cheetohs. I don't know how else to describe it. I also was very excited to have the gumbo and it was ..............oh gawd it was awful. I didn't even recognize it as gumbo, don't do it to yourself. This time I had a burger, which I am pretty sure was a frozen patty, the onion bun was terrible. I wish they just had a regular bun. I thought this was my safest choice based on my fish and gumbo experience.........I was wrong. Don't eat here, really don't you will be bummed out. Do stay at the hotel though, the rooms are really cute and clean. Very friendly staff. The patrons seem to be mostly the senior set.
