"A little espresso and tea bar inside of the Pythian Market. I just happened to stop in to walk around and saw that this place had a Lox toast with dill cream cheese which sounded good at the time. The toast itself is really thick and came out under toasted. The salmon itself was ok quality. There was really nothing special about it. It was also difficult to eat because of its size and capers kept rolling off of it. It was a little steep at $9. I probably wouldn't get it again. When I was there - it was card only for payment."
"Walking around French Quarters and trying all sorts of foods. My daughter wanted a slice of pizza so we popped our heads in--there were no customers and the bartender (who was also likely the only server) greeted us quickly and offered menus. We advised him we were only there for a slice of pizza to go. He was very friendly and gave her the options of cheese pizza or pepperoni. The pizza was in a case in the back of the store and we could see him grab a slice out for her and put it on a paper plate. She loved it and enjoyed her pizza as we continued our walk!"

"Finally tried the Plantry Cafe! Beautiful restaurant. Worth going just for that alone. Very cozy! We were greeted and sat immediately. The waiters were very knowledgeable of the menu. Standouts mushroom scallops! I wish this was a main course. The beet salad is also very good. Also recommend the roasted maitake. Curious to try other dishes as well so I'll have to return. The owner of the restaurant was kind and greeted all patrons. And of course get the TEA!!"
"Holy spicy. I'm having trouble even thinking spicy about this review spicy because it's so spicy spicy. And I like spicy. But the "medium" (2/4 level spicy) is INSANE to me. My nose is running, eyes watering, stomach hurting after about 5 bites. But it tastes so good I wish I could keep eating (green curry tofu). I will have to mix this with extra rice just to be able to finish it. I will order mild next time for certain. If you came to the reviews section to see if you're the only one who can't handle it, don't worry, it's not just you. The satay was good and the tom yum was too. The tom yum was really good and very sour."
"I can't STAND black folks who instead of supporting a business, they want to talk down and essentially stop others from enjoying the very hard working brothas and sistas out here trying to make it on their own! Ya'll are just so DISRESPECTFUL! I don't care if I go to a place and I feel the food is terrible, I simply keep it pushing because their clearly in business because SOMEBODY likes it! Everyones palates and tastes are different! In our community, it's IMPERATIVE to support US! If you patronize a spot, you have issues? Tell THEM while your there! Call them if your home to relay your opinion! We are the ONLY people who would rather blast US on social media instead of having private chats with owners and managers so that they can still make a living while improving! Get. It. Together! And No I do NOT know the owner, just looking at the yelp reviews and it's just plain disgusting how we treat each other! Have some respect and decency people! Now on to my actual review, this place is the TRUTH! If you all follow this brotha on social media, you know he is MORE than just this vegan spot! He goes in the community and talks about regular food who all consume and the harmful ingredients that are in them! He is all about education! What we ordered: The liberation burger- double vegan patties, lettuce, homemade sauce and vegan cheese! Everything about this burger was GOOD! The patties were seasoned and actually had good flavor! They weren't crumbling but held their own! I haaaaaate vegan cheese. Literally never met a vegan pre made cheese that I have liked! I can vaguely taste the vegan cheese on this so I was really happy about that! It was just an overall GREAT burger! The lettuce was super green, not the white ugly non nutritional part! The home made sauce I could have bottled that up! The beans!! Oh weeeee those red beans are FANTASTIC! Again, they were SEASONED SOOOO well! Mac and cheese- I told ya'll I DON'T LIKE VEGAN CHEESE! Best vegan mac hands down. More like a spaghetti of sorts but yummy in my tummy!Strawberry biscuits POPEYES WHO?!? Big, warm, DELICIOUS!Strawberry drink had huge strawberries in them! Fantastic! Yes you can order on their website and then give it about 30-45 mins and head on over! He makes everything literally when you order it so patience is KEY! I had zero issues waiting."
"This is some very good Philly cheesesteak. Heard about this place through a friend and had to check it out. I went with the steak philly with cheese whiz to keep it traditional. It did not disappoint. I had also ordered a side the cauliflower wings. (Which were delicious and crispy. The sauce is was also really good.) My intention was to eat half a sandwich and my side and have half a sandwich for leftovers the next day. Sandwich was just too good. Ate the whole thing and ruined my plans. Also got to steal a few pickle fries I'd also recommend them. My only knock would be the food took a good while. It was a Friday night prime time and it's a fairly small place so don't know that they could do anything about it. Just heads up this place is busy because it's good so order a bit ahead if you're hungry."
"Cute restaurant. Friendly service. Great food. Has a vegan menu and I tried a few things that were all very good."
"I was taking a long walk along Magazine Street to sight-see and be healthy; passing by The Daily Beet and I was like I want to get something here (the place has a very appealing style). I took a look at the menu and was impressed with the bowls and salads. I already had plans for an early dinner so I didn't want to order any food but was interested in coming back so I asked the girl behind the counter a question about a dish. Sadly, she made it obvious she just wanted to take an order and not be bothered by my question. She did answer though and I asked another but after that I decided not to bother since it was clear she did not want to deal with me. My wife wasn't that thirsty; she just wanted a sip of something so I did the only logical thing.... I ordered (2) smoothies for myself and the wife can steal a couple sips. SMOOTHIES No.1: BLUE DREAM (Blueberry, Pineapple, Mango, Banana, Raw Agave)This was delicious... absolutely delicious SMOOTHIE No.2: SKINNY GREEN(Kale, Spinach, Pineapple, Mango, Banana)Even though I loved the Blue Dream, I really enjoyed the Skinny Green quite a bit. Something about that grittiness from the Kale that I like (it's a texture thing). I'm going to assume the poor customer service is limited to this one staff member (maybe she was having a bad day) and not the typical attitude of all staff; with that in mind, we will be back (especially with all the healthy option the menu offers; even have some vegan options)."
"Absolutely love Plant Bass Vegan Deli and feel like I'm at home with every visit. My most common purchase has been the salad and the Black Bean Burger, but I love all selections! The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend you visit."
"Thank you Lloyd for chatting with us today. I got organic carrot, ginger and apple juice, it was delicious, and my husband got coffee. We were just out and about, and there is outdoor seating here along with menu of organic and healthy foods. If your vegan or like raw food, this is your spot. While we didn't order food, just drinks, our conversation led to being healthy, and how this place is locally sourced, and all about your health. Located in the Historic Treme Neighborhood, its a great location for Church folk, or anyone going on a historic walk, to stop and get coffee, tea and beyond. They also have sandwiches, plant based breakfast burger "the mcgriddle", and fresh fruit salads, and avocado sandwich. steamed veggins and a rasta burger / a quinoa burger with mama amina sauce and creole banana fries. They opened in january, then covid hit, and they were forced to shutter their doors and are NOW BACK OPEN. support local business and especially when the local business is buying fresh local foods.thanks Lloyd."
"ALL VEGAN FOOD TRUCKThe quality of the food was amazing. I had the cauliwings and quesadilla and I highly recommend both items. They are great alternative to its non-vegan counterparts. The taste is so clean and I like that I can indulge without the after effects of being sluggish or upset stomach.Service: Take outPrice per person: $20-30Recommended dishes: Cauliwings, QuesadillaFood Truck is located on a lot so there is a few parking spots"
"THE.BEST.FOOD.TRUCK.in.New Orleans.period.Tuesdays will never be the same for me. Every Tuesday Fat Falafel parks just up the street from my house at Swirl Wines. I finally made to down there and was BLOWN away at the quality, the flavor and the price of such amazing vegetarian eats!I got the combo Falafel platter for $8. 3 Falafel, salad, hummus, pita, garlic sauce and root slaw. A-MAZ-ING!!!! my friend got the Falafel sandwich (in a pita) for $5 and it was great, too!I'll give you one guess at where I am having dinner next Tuesday night."

Located in the Food court across from our hotel (Holiday Inn), it was a quick, convenient place to get my coffee. If you enjoy cold brew, try the Edison! It became my go-to while in NOLA. Also, get the chocolate brioches a side. I found the service great, the decor was right up my alley. Out of towners, trust me, you don't need a chain to survive.

I recently visited a small and cozy Thai restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is very small and home like and service was decent and fast. I tried the Thai iced tea, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking. The Pad Thai, while decent, had vegetables that didn't seem as fresh as usual--though it could have just been an off day. The dish also leaned on the sweeter side, which may not suit everyone's palate. My friend ordered a curry with medium spice, but it ended up being milder than expected. We did not felt the spice at all. For anyone who enjoys heat, I'd recommend going for the highest spice level. Overall, it's a charming spot, especially if you enjoy sweeter Thai dishes--it's worth a visit.

I visited there for the first time today during the lunch hour. We found off street parking. I was very excited to try the Philly Cheesesteak but I ended up not enjoying it as much as I had hoped. They really didn't have the flavor that I'm used to. The staff person who took my order and brought out my food was kind which I appreciated. There were some tables inside and we opted to eat inside. It did take a while for us to recover our food after we placed the order.

This bright and welcoming restaurant is becoming a regular stop for me on my visits to New Orleans. The owner is friendly and takes a great deal of pride in his business, and rightly so. He's very happy to answer questions about the menu. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. Their vegan options are great for lactose intolerant people, such as myself. These pupusas don't need cheese to be amazing. Be sure to try the horchata, too!

Last year, I came to New Orleans immediately after eating my way through Tijuana and the Lafayette, LA metropolitan area. So, I was ecstatic when I found The Daily Beet within walking distance of where I was staying with a thoughtful, vegetable forward menu that looked extremely appetizing. I immediately beelined over and ordered the Beet Benedict. Not only was it finger lickin' good, but it was plated so exquisitely that multiple people stopped by my table with inquiries: "Excuse me, sir. What menu item is that?"***"That looks amazing. I'll order that the next time I come."***"May I ask, how is that dish? Okay, great." The mother then turns to her adult son and tells him to order a beet toast for her. This place is a whole vibe, and I highly recommend it!!!

"The muffa-nadda was terrific! Best vegan one I have had so far! Super nice guy at counter since it was our first time, ever got some bread to go! We sat outside since it's been so beautiful lately! Sipped on a chai cold latte and matcha. Cannot wait to go back to try something else!"
"Amazing! Had the cheeseburger with fries and southwest egg rolls today and it was SO GOOD! Can't wait to order again!"
"Refreshing smoothies and tasty vegetarian food on side of Swan River Yoga. Good place for little treat or healthy lunch. I was surprised how much food came with Masala dosa- the potato filled dosa with coconut chutney of course, but also big bowl of dhal and generous fresh salad. Happy yogi:)The interior has been renovated and feels clean and spacious. Will be back!"
"Located in the food court of Place St. Charles office building it's the best of all the outlets. Have been many times and everything is always fresh and staff is super friendly. Lettuce is never brown or bruised and portions are big. The Middle Eastern is always good loaded with feta, black olives, tomatoes and chickpeas and tossed in a lemon tahini dressing, but all dressing are very good. You choose Romaine, Mixed Greens, Kale or Quinoa and a couple others I don't remember. Picture of salad isn't very good because I turned container over on way home but it was loaded with ingredients. You also have choice of shrimp, chicken breast or grilled portobello that can be added and also can build your own salad, wrap or bowl"
"Came here before heading to the airport and it was wonderful. The food tasted amazing! My favorites were the barbecue cauliflower and the fried cauliflower with sweet heat sauce. The macaroni and cheese was excellent, as was the cornbread. I haven't liked collard greens or okra much in the past, but I enjoyed both here. Bread pudding was also great. It's cafeteria-style and the line moves quickly. Wasn't super busy when we arrived shortly after they opened at 11 but by noon it was pretty full.Staff were friendly and wanted to make sure you knew that everything was vegan, even if it looked like meat.Great value for the amount of food you get too. My spouse and I each got a four-item plate which essentially served as 2-3 meals for each of us throughout our travel day.Highly recommend to anyone in New Orleans looking for vegetarian or vegan options."
"My daughter is super smiting with Sips. The location is fine because they're in the general area where most eateries are in Gonzales. They sit in a shopping center near Airline Hwy. The parking is great because they have a large community parking lot. The staff are friendly and as a side note.....make sure you sign up for their point system. Now, is it good??? Yes, they're really good at what they do. The coffee can appease to young adults as well as seasoned coffee drinkers. One caveat is, I wish their point system would allow you to go back and add missing point opportunities if you forgot to give them you info. Yes try it"
"I had a chicken bowl today was my first band I love it I really enjoyed this and healthy bites Poke BowlsVegetable Wrap"
"Amazing food! We had the red beans and rice with collard greens and butter beans with okra. We also had the omelette breakfast that was a surprise hit. The beignets are to die for. Wish we lived closer so we can come back again."
"Cozy neighborhood feel. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Fabulous menu with many standard and vegetarian options. Loved our cappuccino. The potatoes are amazing, crisp and salty. The Bearcat breakfast with blueberry pancakes definitely hit the spot. The Breakfast Club with chicken was also extremely satiating ; served on house made sourdough. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend."
"This is the best Vegan/Vegetarian burger I've had anywhere, and it is Vegan! The price is right, too, at just $8.00. We got ours from a catering truck in Champions Square at a Saints game, but, if you see the truck, and have the opportunity to get one, do it! You will not be disappointed. The truck offers a lot of other outstanding vegan dishes as well. Might as well try them all. The people in the kitchen are very nice, patient, and helpful, too. I so love to find businesses like this one."
"Sukho serves up solid but unspectacular Thai, with very good service and a fun ambiance. The food is decent and comes at accessible prices. Cozy up to the bar if there's a game playing!"
"We ordered the Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and Green Curry. Everything was really good- much better than Sukhothai. The woman who served us was very friendly and kind, she also grows some of the ingredients used in the food in her own garden- and you can tell how fresh the chilis are. We were there at around 8:30pm on a Friday night and our food came out fast. This place is right across the street from La Madeleine, next to Cooter Brown's. Highly recommend, looking forward to coming again"
"This is my third time to G's Pizza and this time was just as good as the last two times. The first time it was for an adoption event with a local rescue and G's Pizza was super generous and supportive of these adoption and fundraising efforts. The last two times were during Happy Hour.I have now tried the Bayou Crawfish Gourmet Pizza and Cajun Shrimp Gourmet Pizza. Both are super good! During happy hour you can get any of their Gourmet pizzas for half off. They also have daily specials that you can take advantage of. The appetizers are all quite good and plentiful as well. I would recommend the Sample Trio so you can try all of their dips! The stuffed mushrooms and spinach dip are also good choices. This is a favorite pizza place for me! Great food, portions, prices, and service! Drinks: They have a few beer options of tap, some good margherita choices, and wine.Happy Hour: Monday-Friday, 3-5pm. 1/2 off Pizzas and drink specials!Service: The service was good.Parking: There are a couple of spots right on the side of the restaurant, but it's mostly street parking.Pets: Pets can sit at their outdoor patio."
"I've only been vegan for a few days, but this is the first time I've been full since I started. I could not stop eating even though the plan going in was to save half of it for lunch tomorrow. We got the Bass Burger which features an impossible patty and we got one of the bean burgers. I'm not a bean burger fan, but it tasted good. We cut it in half to reveal whole beans which leads me to believe that they are made in-house. I finished the Bass Burger. Both were on different kinds of buns. This attention to detail I really appreciated. The fries and fried mushrooms were delightful. Perfect seasoning on both. The mushrooms came with an herbaceous mayo-ketchup house made sauce. Their portions were GENEROUS. I couldn't stop popping either into my mouth even after I said I was done. My favorite parts of the meal were the gumbo and the pecan chocolate chip cookies. Can we say 'umami?' Because baybeeee, that gumbo had the sixth sense. The 2 "meat" varieties in it had the texture and taste of real meat. I felt like I was eating a "normal" gumbo. The cookie was hands down one of my favorites. As someone who loves sweets, but not sugar (if that makes sense), I loved how unsweet it was. The service was divine. Corey the owner was so welcoming. He offered to serve us our gumbo and cookies as we waited for our takeout. This we happily accepted. He's also a community leader in his own right, hosting events like yoga on Saturdays in their nice patio and having performances and talks in the cozy dining area. And the inside is adorable. The ambience really made me want to sit and stay for a while."
"I cannot wait for the new location to open at canal place but I popped into this location today because I needed a smoothie.I love getting smoothies that have a good balance of greens and fruits. I also added some collagen prOteiN to my smoothie for $2 because I felt like I needed additional protein in my smoothie this e.In the juice area there are Sample for you to try your self."
"Came on a wicked hot day and literally this was the first place we stopped at in NoLa. We ordered 3 crepes- strawberry Nutella; ham and cheddar with dill sauce; pesto. Of course the guy tried to get us to buy a drink but you know- we were responsible sight seers and we had our bottles of water. He had us try the iced coffee which was made with coconut water/milk. So our family being lactose free couldn't resist especially after that free sample. I tried 2 out of 3 of the crepes that we ordered they both were really good. Iced coffee hit the spot. Plenty of tables to sit at. Live music playing everywhere."
"Everything we had was fire! We started with the avocado fries for our appetizer, and the mushroom burger and Ra Pasta for our entrees. The prices were very reasonable and the drinks were refreshing. It was my first time trying them, but it definitely won't be my last."
"Everything at this place is delicious. EAT IT ALL! service is good and quick and the restaurant was an old diner so not fancy but the delicious food outweighs it all! Naan bread, appetizers, Indian spicy deliciousness! Eat it all."
"P. Otis foods Is a cool little spot directly next door to prytania bar. They have a little game area on the side in front of the order booth and they also have a walk-up window if you don't want to walk inside. I had the chicken curry tacos they come with the option of a hard or soft taco. You also get to choose between three toppings I chose the FRIED GARLIC FURIKAKE SESAME SEED & RED PEPPER PODI PERFECTIO w FRIED ONION. The service is spot on. They'll go through the different add-ons with you And even give samples of The different proteins like ice cream shop lol. This is a cool spot to check out, especially to get some good eats. When you're sitting at the bar I recommend checking it out."
"I found this gem yesterday while heading home from the office and feeling parched. I was looking for a fresh iced tea and Hi-Balls was perfect.I was greeted by Nathan, the owner, who was warm amd welcoming. His place is a great spot to take a load off and chill. Teas. Coffees, plant based ice cream, food and smoothies, mocktails, cocktails, aaaaaaaand.....free wifi! The interior space is decorated with Nathan's own, very cool artwork, and there is additional outdoor seating. Nathan offered me a taste of this month's specialty ice-cream and I was blown away. I'm looking forward to my next visit."
"What a sleeper surprise! We were driving through Baton Rouge during the holidays and decided to stop somewhere for lunch. So happy we chose Cocha. First off, I have to praise the Eyes of the World cocktail. It is hands down the best cocktail I've had in quite some time. So perfectly balanced with a hint of spice and not too sweet - I wish I could order another right now. The food was also quite good. Our favorite was the Beet and Burrata salad. The Latin roast pork and Asian stir fry entrees were also good, but the cocktail and salad were really the highlights. The service was friendly, but pretty slow despite our table being one of only 2 or 3. It felt like we had been forgotten on more than one occasion. And dining outside was really lovely, but the beautiful tree canopy above will shed many small leaves, into your food and drink if you're not careful. We often had to cover our bowls and glasses whenever a small gust of wind blew. Nothing to dock points for - just a warning if you also choose to dine outside!"
