"Loved the hospitality during the meal here! I would come back here for breakfast again. Shrimp and grits: 10/10 the grits were made to perfection, the cheese added a nice flavor to it, and pairing it with the salty shrimp was amazing. Granted it was my first time trying grits and it was not disappointing. It was a hearty breakfastGumbo: 10/10 my favorite gumbo out of all the places I've tried during my trip at nola. It was packed with so much flavor and comforting"
"Service is always friendly and Joey K's is always Joey K's consistency is king here. The seafood is always hot and fresh. The staff always has a smile if it's 4 tables or 40 being served. They are a neighborhood spot through and through and where I always take visitors to city for that first bite or NOLA."

"Why would you eat redfish anywhere else?? Don't. The redfish dish here is so perfectly prepared that it makes me annoyed with myself when I order it anywhere else.Beyond the food, this lovely restaurant located inside Renaissance Baton Rouge has lovely bartending staff with a shoutout to Shawna and Damon who will make you feel appreciated and right at home."
"I ordered the seafood platter and it was for two we had enough food on the platter that could feed at least four people it had fries your bread fried oysters fried shrimp fried catfish they had a stuffed crab stuffed shrimp and they had two soft shell crabs the only thing that I did not like was that it salty. But it was good."
"Wow! It's been 10 years since I last reviewed this spot. And it is still a solid choice for a casual but fine dining experience. They've changed the menu a bit to have small, mid and large plates. I love love love the grilled Caesar salad so will almost always get that. And I got their scallops again and they were yummy. Unfortunately they were out of my dining companions first 2 choices on the Saturday night we were there. So she came up with a 3rd option. My old fashioned was great and then I had a lovely glass of bubbles to cut the richness of my super chocolate dessert.Service was great as always and now you have choices between dining inside or out on the patio which has greatly increased seating and you can make a reservation online. Definitely still a great spot for a lovely dinner."
"I rarely give 5 stars. I've been looking for a decent po boy in Baton Rouge for a long time. Most are not good AT ALL!Out of the many many places, this is the absolute BEST! Bread= good and chewy.Stuffed with a ton of shrimp. The customer service was so excellent, that even if it was not that good, I'd go back and try something else. It was THAT good tho. Highly recommend Can't wait to go back and try something else."
"King crab and crawfish were absolutely delicious. Fresh and enjoy the multiple flavors."
"Food service ambience was all amazing. Loved the whole experience. From the beginning to the send-off we were pleasantly surprised."
"I have picked up dinner twice while working in the area. Both times I ordered the maple bourbon cornbread! And this last time I also ordered the Parisian gnocchi with crawfish it was amazing and didn't want to stop eating it reservations always recommended sign on door...it's true...they were busy!"
"since moving I have been to this place at least three times in a month. It's my go- to place so far. The only time I was disappointed was when I ordered crawfish because I didn't want any butter or anything on them. And I got what I asked for - plain boiled crawfish. The grilled beef dinner is good. The shrimp po-boy is light. The corn and crab soup is good and the coconut shrimp is awesome. Bring your appetite because you get a lot, especially with the shrimp, but not so much on the po-boy."
"Great service with a smile, solid red beans, and yummy blackened fish. Left full and happy! Thanks!"
"The brisket has always been excellent. Perfect smoke rings perfect flavoring always fresh. Never had anything that tasted reheated .I've also have pulled pork and the barbecued ribs once again. They've also been very good. Very juicy , perfect smoke rings and very fresh."

Joey K's is sort of the neighborhood restaurant for those of us who live in the Garden District. It's homey, has down home New Orleans food and is a great place to go for a casual lunch. The blackberry cobbler is to die for. The appetizers are big enough to eat as an entree. Great onion rings, seafood, pasta, too. They don't take reservations but have accommodated my large extended family if we call ahead and go early. I recommend it to anyone coming to shop Magazine Street.

You know you are going to have a meal worth writing about the moment you take your first bite. That is exactly how I feel about my dining experience at Boucherie. First, I was so happy to have been able to snag a table on a Saturday night pre-mother's day. The restaurant is in what might have been a home in the past. Very unassuming but once you're there, you will immediately know what the fuss is all about. I wanted a place a little farther from the busy scene so I chose Boucherie for that reason. We arrived, informed the host of our reservations and we were seated immediately on a corner table. The place was fairly quiet, had a full bar, and attentive wait staff. Our dining experience began with some smoked tuna ragoons with Louisiana strawberry dipping sauce. The smoked tuna was a little bit on the salty side but otherwise, the flavors between the sauce and the ragoons worked. For my main dish, I ordered the scallops which were divine! Very flavorful, prepared perfectly and the sauce was magnificent. I could have probably polished off another serving of it (on a different night, of course!). My meal was lovely and exquisite. My dining companion enjoyed some cocktails while I sipped on some wines for the evening. Overall, I had a wonderful and unforgettable dining experience.

got the largest seafood bucket (came out in a bag) which included lobster tail and split that amongst five people which was the perfect amount! the only thing i didn't like was the fact that the big ez seasoning was super spicy :/ was not expecting that. but i liked how the bucket also included egg, corn and potatoes!! they don't have free water, you need to buy drinks :/ very casual restaurant where u sit yourself and order at the counter and they bring u the food. u pay at the end. overall, solid place if u wanted quick and casual seafood boil.

This restaurant is in a beautiful former home and I think it was a former restaurant at some point on magazine Street. It is very well appointed and very pretty. We went to a tasting menu dinner and were served seven very small portions of very delicious food. If you add the (small portions) wine pairing, you are looking at probably $250 a person at least. It was great to have the experience, but I don't think I would do it again for that price. Someone else chose the restaurant and we didn't inquire much about it in advance. Glad we went and enjoyed it, but again it was pretty expensive for what you got. My SO was still hungry after.

"Bbq chicken special can't be beat. Ribs were a lil dry but the sauce was great. Macaroni was different but good--tasted a lil like nacho cheese and had an interesting spice. Will be back. Worth the trip."
"Great service and delicious food! We had the specials of the day which were cajun arancini and a New York Strip with seafood beignets and mashed potatoes. Not pictured is the salted caramel brownie with ice cream which was also divine."
"Lovely local spot. Service is spectacular. Food is fresh & delicious with daily tweaks to the menu. Portions are filling but not too much (great before a night out on the town). Reservations are almost always needed but there is full dinner service at the bar."
"Always an awesome delight coming here. The fried ribs is a show stopper. Unexpectedly tender, not sure how a rib can be this tender but I'll take it. The Rum punch is a nice pairing for the ribs. Between the seafood baked potato loaded and the punch, I'm taking a nap for sure after this!"
"My husband and I are frequently going here. The staff is great and follow Covid precautions always. We ordered food today and I can't tell you enough how great it was. We ordered the large cheeseburger with everything and a philly cheese steak poboy. OMG it's one of the best we've had of each. The poboy was a little greasy but the taste made up for it. We ordered prior to going and was ready when my husband arrived. I encourage y'all to try the food. Oh, I heard their breakfast is also great and a great price.Sorry it was eaten on, lol. Couldn't help it."
"Service, Atmosphere, Food and Drinks are always excellent. 5 stars plus. We have never eaten the same things and the food is always 5 stars. Highly recommend."
"Good food good pricesStaff was great won't our toddler :-)Ordered the snapper and oysters for an appetizer! Everything was delicious"
"There was a steady flow of customers while I was here, so that suggests that locals like it (right?)I just ordered a 7up, fries and a lemon turnover. Everything was ok. The chicken does look yummy though!"
"Last week I brought my lunch to work, but something greater was calling me. And it wasn't the lobster mac in my lunch bag.I was really craving a fried chicken sandwich. And it just so happens that the Bonafried food truck was parked right outside of my job! Truthfully, I wanted to try Bonafried's entire menu. (I'm still committed to this, actually) Their sandwiches sounded just that good. Simple ingredients while the chicken is packed with flavor! I went with The Southern: pickles and honey topped the massive piece of boneless chicken thighs between two super soft buns. I immediately fell in love. The crispiness of the chicken, sweetness of the honey and tangy taste of pickle all combined so well on this sandwich! Service was also pretty speedy and it was lunchtime in the CBD so I was impressed.Needless to say, I'm a total Bonafried fangirl and I can't want to cheat on my diet with them again!"
"This place really hit the spot in a way I cannot describe. I'm not sure if it was the nostalgia that did it for me or if it was the food. The way it's setup very much so gives that retro restaurant vibe. Every detailed seems to have been very well thought out down to the food trays. The portions are hefty and there are plenty of things to choose from. Service was great and the drinks were strong."
"Terrific food! Great outdoor and indoor seating. Dog friendly. Great for friend gathering, or couples dateday. The house Pono noir ( pellegrini) is the best tasting Pinot I've had in a couple of years."
"We stopped for lunch & ordered 2 Cochon de last (pork) poboy's with slaw & peach cobbler. The pork was moist, tender & tasty the slaw was a great balance with being a little sweet & definitely get it on the French roll. The peach cobbler was sweet & had plenty of flakey crust.Boy we lucked out they are only open until 3 pm or till they run out on Thursdays and Fridays & today is Thursday. We got there around 1:40 pm & they closed at 2:10 pm. So get there early. They were so friendly & helpful as we stumble through are order."
"Cozy little breakfast corner, you order at the counter when you walk in, menu is strewn by the door or available on the podium order counter or outside on the wall.We placed our order and seated ourselves in the back where the seatings are (limited seating possibly about 20 seats available) When the food is ready they will call your name by counter, come pick up your food and enjoy. I had the BLT P.C. (Pimento Cheese) on sourdough (There's a variety of bread options) and it came with a side of potato chips. Tap cold water is available by the side counter along with napkins and plastic utensils. The sandwich was delicious and fresh, everyone else got the breakfast sandwich. Once you're done eating take your plastic baskets and empty it into the trash and place the baskets on the side, it seems like they also serve lunch and dinner as well. Wonderful experience Thank you so much!"
"My mom and I stopped in yesterday for a quick lunch! Cafe Americain has always been a hidden gem in Baton Rouge. It's tucked away on Jefferson in a small shopping center. We ordered some of the best crab and broccoli soup you'll ever have along with an order of sweet potato hush puppies. OMG. It's the best comfort food on a cold or warm day. Definitely try them out and they have specials throughout the week!"
"Yaaaaasss. Finally a store with Louisiana spicy crawfish!!!! My first visit here I came on a suggestion from an employee. I have had plenty of people Recommend spots that have "good ole spicy" crawfish, and I've been sadly let down. Baaaaaby!!!! This crawfish had me SWEATIN!!! This was like back yard summertime Deep South crawfish. It not just hot for heats sake. There is still plenty of flavor that comes they too. But believe me it's spicy!!!!"
"Don't know about world famous but it's pretty fucking good fried chicken. Seasoning has depth and a warm, lingering spice that enchanted this grease-fingered chicken goblin.Coleslaw and baked beans were delightful and worth adding on for sure.Service was friendly and quick. It's not all cooked to order so the drummies I got were room temp, but thighs were hot AF and subsequently delightful if a tad dangerous.Nice location. Clean and convenient with ample seating."
"As excellent for breakfast as it was last time I was here a few years ago.Crabcake Eggs Benedict with grits, yum."
"When I find hidden gems like Stella's Kitchen, it makes me appreciate my drive time for work so much more. It's located in a small, rundown looking building off Highway 1; if it wasn't for GPS, you'd easily miss it. The interior is beautiful though. Smells amazing (not sure if that was the candles for sale or the food). Very classy feel to it as soon as you walk in though. I decided to order the almond encrusted duck (appetizer) to go per a yelpers mouth-watering pic of it, and I'm so glad I did! It was scrumptious! The wait once I ordered was almost 30 minutes, so I definitely advise to call and order ahead. 10 people seating and 1 to go order that came before me. I was surprised to see a customer bring his pup in, but I guess I should have known based on all the pup pics on the walls here! Just wish it was closer to BR as I don't come this way very often!"
"Amazing food (brisket, chicken wings, mardigras potato and green beans) and service...staffs were so friendly - will definitely come back."
"Our last meal in New Orleans and our last time to eat some delicious food. I missed out on getting the fried shrimp Po'Boy. It was delicious, just as I imagined it to be. The bread was soft and the shrimp were crispy and tender. My husband got the crawfish Mac and cheese. It was a bit richer than expected, yet still delicious. I'm glad we had one more opportunity to have some more New Orleans food before returning home."
"Stopped at the dock today after boating and they had a food truck rally. happened to try the burgers and to my surprise they were awesome and had a wicked smoke Ring in the burgers and they were very tasty. would like to try the wings or the ribs, but I will in time"
"My wife and I are not from Mississippi, but I love Cajun food! Steve's Marina restaurant will not disappoint. The trout was perfect. I had it blackened just like I like it. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. It's a down home atmosphere with friendly service. We will definitely be back!"
"Catfish was amazing! Best mac n cheese ever! Green beans were amazing! Bread pudding was to die for!!!! I would eat here again and again and again!"
