"Had a family outing with kiddos and grandparents at The Blue Crab for a weekend lunch and we all left full, satisfied with our choices and happy with our service. Air-conditioning was keeping things perfectly cool in the hot summer heat and the elevated views of Lake Pontchartrain were wonderful (note there is an elevator). We enjoyed chargrilled oysters, crabmeat au gratin, a fried shrimp poboy with a side of must order hand-dipped onion rings, the west end cobb salad, crab cake sandwich with fries and a fried catfish poboy with fries. Plus a bucket of beer. Oh, we loved that the Blue Crab has a fairly large kids menu, six total items that max out at $6.95 and include french fries. Our kiddos enjoyed their burgers.Short and sweet, we will happily return to The Blue Crab."
"I read the reviews and was a little worried. But I had a truly great dining experience when I visited Pho Michael. I was later than expected getting to New Orleans so I was hungry. Once I got settled in, I looked at Yelp for a recommendation to eat. I was near so many great places to dine but Pho Michael won, despite the negative reviews. I was greeted warmly when I entered and allowed to pick where I sat. The feel inside was interesting, as Michael Jackson was playing but the decor reminded me of an Asian restaurant. It was clean though. I ordered a sweet tea which they add a sweetener when you order it. I won't get this again. I ordered the spring rolls with shrimp, which many reviews called them small. These rolls were so big they could almost serve as an entree. They tasted so fresh and the peanut sauce accompanied them well. For my main dish, I ordered the pho with filet mignon. It's one of their popular dishes so I figured it would be okay. When they placed a steaming hot bowl of pho in front of me, I knew I had a made a solid decision. I added a tad of hoisin sauce along with the sprouts, basil and jalapeños. The beef broth was sooooooo good as well. Only regret I had was a smaller portion wasn't offered. I ordered the smallest size available but it was so much. I tried to eat it all but couldn't lol. Service was top notch, as my server and another gentleman checked on me but didn't hover. This is a place I would visit again no matter where in New Orleans I stay."

"The best Vietnamese I have found in New Orleans so far. Parking stinks but it's up the street my where ILive so I can walk if I feel like it. Food is really yum!"
"Cute spot! All the windows really brighten up the rooms during lunch so it's great for brunch pics with the girls haha! It's a little cramped so something to consider for those with limited mobility. We got the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer and I had the shrimp and grits for my entree. Both were very flavorful."
"I always enjoy eating here. Food is great, hot, and in good portion sizes! The smoothies are great too!!!"
"Got us a little to-go order after a long week of snow (yes, snow in south Louisiana, y'all know it's true) and ice. Tom Kha soups all around for me and the Petunia.Totally yum - coconut milk, lemongrass, all the good things and shrimp! I can't wait for my next bowl, really. The folks here are friendly and smiling, even though we took our food to go, and really bolstered my mood in this weather...thanks!"
"The prices don't match the quality of the food. It's mid. Had crab legs and they weren't cleaned and they were just super bland. We also had an oyster poboy and they didn't do multiple things we requested, so that was so-so, but the oysters were good. I just don't think the prices justify the quality of the food. Even the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. Service was great in the beginning, but once the restaurant filled up, we were forgotten about."
"This place is great, no disrespect to the Fulton St location (which is my usual). The staff is very busy so don't get your feelings hurt if they don't "wait on you hand-and-foot". I try to sit a the sushi bar if I'm solo, so they typically have 1-2 waitresses/waiters that cover the entire sushi bar ... again, just be chill. The food quality is good and lives up to the RnS hype. Check them out if you're in Metairie!"
"It's been tooo long since we've been to Munch Factory. This is our first time at the new location on the golf course. The margarita was so good and strong. The thing about the food is, it's excellent. Whatever it is. The spinach artichoke was first rate, shrimp and grits unparalleled, and the kids shrimp didn't stand a chance. I only wish it were Brunch so I could get the hot sausage poboy."

What's a better way to conclude our trip to New Orleans, than with some Oysters?! We went to The Blue Crab, which is located right on Lake Pontchartrain. We were seated outside, overlooking the lake, when a very strong gust of wind knocked over our waters. You know those Southern winds are no joke! So we quickly moved inside. Most of the people in our party are big into crabs. So they got quite a serving of them, they are messy, splashy, but not for me. It was very satisfying seeing how they loved slurping on all the crab legs and juices. We also got a serving of the Chargrilled Oysters! These are fresh oysters that have been grilled, spritzed with lemon and topped with cheese. I have never before had oysters that have been served this way, this was so delectable and delicious! The Seafood Gumbo is rich and hearty. It was filled with pieces of shrimp and crab. I got the Gulf Salad with blackened shrimp. This salad was massive. Everything was fresh and all the pieces were substantial. However, the shrimp was far too salty for me.Overall we had a complete feast at The Blue Crab. Their prices are very fair and the service was excellent!

Walked in and was promptly greeted by delightful staff! It was between the dinner and lunch rush so the crowd was absent. We ordered a full order of spring rolls with pork and shrimp which was absolutely wonderful followed by combo Pho for both my wife and I. Pho was on point and hit the spot. Place is a gem, clean well appointed with welcoming staff and great food! It is a walk up to counter spot, but they bring your food to you and clear away your dishes as you finish. What more could you ask for. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Hours are Mon-Fri 11-7. It is close to the I-10 on Tulane that caters to mostly hospital staff and patients I'm sure. Not sure what else to add other than I encourage you to give them a shot if you find yourself in the vicinity.

Where has this little gem been all my life? :)My family and I went to eat here last night for my dad's birthday. I've read about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. We came at 5pm and we were one of the only few customers that was inside dining. Let me first start off by saying, the exterior and interior is such a beautiful and modern built establishment, decorated with the cutest Christmas decor. We sat down and immediately were greeted by our waitress with a smile (I hate to admit this, but she was blonde with medium to long hair and I forgot her name but she was amazing)We ordered the Hummus for an appetizer which was very creamy and delicious served with pita bread, cucumbers and carrots. The entrees we ordered were the Salmon Grillé with cream spinach and the Byronz Sandwich with the chips. My daughter had the Salmon and she said it was delicious but kinda on the salty side and the spinach was very good! My Byronz sandwich was delicious. The bread was toasted just right, piled high with meat and just enough of the sauce. The chips were nice and crispy as well. I even had leftovers for lunch the next day!I see they serve brunch which I am sure is a huge hit. We will definitely be back to try other menu items...thank you!

Yum!For entrees we had roast beef and shrimp po boy. The roast beef was tender roasted and shredded and they used popcorn shrimp. They do half n half there. Half roast beef and the other half shrimpI had the half catfish snd half shrimp po boy. The French baguette was good but I ended up eating the filling after a couple bites as the servings are huge!

I finally tried this place yesterday. Parking is very very tight. We had to park at a neighboring restaurant and walk over. The wait for inside seating was about 45 min to an hour. Since it is conveniently next to Tana, we went to pre-drink there. Since we agreed to sitting at the sushi bar, we were contacted that a spot was ready and were seated with a total wait time of about 20 minutes. $The 6 Tuesday drink specials were great. I wasn't wowed by some of the sushi options but decided to go with the tuna nachos and the Delàroll that has filet mignon. Both were a great pic. The chili oil garnishment made for the perfect addition to the Delàroll. The servers were all extremely nice. We stayed well past our time and continued to enjoy the $6 drinks. The only negative part about the experience was that when you sit at the sushi bar, the other servers retrieve food for other tables and takeout orders by constantly reaching over you. They were great about apologizing for it but I can see why this seating area was quicker to become available vs regular seating. The restaurant is a bit noisy so my Apple watch kept alerting me of the noise level, and I found myself having to speak loudly to my friend who accompanied me. But during happy hour, what restaurant is actually quiet? Overall the experience was nice. I'll be back for sure.

"My favorite part about Red Star is not just the fact that they have so many great vegetarian options, but that they really know how to use produce. There are no rubbery mushrooms, no uncooked greens, no big chunks. Every ingredient is incorporated perfectly, like the thin ribbons of cabbage that come on the general tso's tofu/chicken. Everything I've had is like this!If you go to Red Star to pick up or dine in what you'll find is a very small space, with just two tables. That's typical for takeout restaurants, but what sets Red Star apart is just how clean and organized it is. Absent is the clutter or grime I associate with takeout places, in its place there's clean floors, clear windows, and a wall of real, living plants! The lady who runs the counter is nice. She communicates well, packages the food securely, and is amenable to special requests like "I want an extra 8oz container of general tso's sauce." Service like that is just great.Red Star may not be fancy, but it is the tastiest, most consistent takeout I've ever had. Best of all, it's still cheap! I'll be a loyal customer as long as they're in town."
"A worthy visit from Austin, Texas to Thibodaux, LA - every time. Everything's packed with flavor. Never disappoints. Don't miss out, stop there when you can! Huge kudos to owners, Chef Minh & Bonnie!"
"The food here is good, but the ambience is a little weird. I can't put my finger on it, but I think it would better serve a pizza restaurant. We went about 30 mins before they closed, so the place may have been picked up for closing time. The wait staff is super friendly, and the prices aren't bad. We ordered general chicken, some egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken. Definitely large portions, and like I said, it is pretty tasty."
"Best Cajun food and best fried chicken ever! Have been eating there for many years and they never disappoint"
"Do yourself a favor and come visit this hole in wall Mexican restaurant towards the end of Williams on the way to the Treasure Chest Casino. Place was nicely decorated, and the ambiance was fitting of a Mexican restaurant. To start, hot fresh chips and salsa were bought to your table. The salsa was different from other typical Mexican restaurants and was delicious with a small spicy kick. We ordered normal fountain drinks, which was a good surprise, being that it was a "hole in the wall place" So that was an automatic plus for me. I ordered the "La Flauta Plate" which I ordered two shredded beef and two shredded chicken flautas that came with beans and rice. My mom ordered the "Carne Asada" Plate which came on a sizzling Plate and beans, rice and tortillas on the side. Both plates were reasonably priced being that the flautas were $13.99 and Carne Asada was $15.99. I've seen prices for those plates much higher starting around the $20 mark at other Mexican restaurants around town. The chips/salsa, and fountain drinks are free refills (once again unusual for small places around town) The food was hot-n-fresh and delicious. The steak was well marinated and the flautas were made fresh to order. The service was on point...our waiter was happy to give us anything that we needed.I highly recommend this place. Give it a try! Will definitely come back for Thursdays margaritas special and to try the Molcajete!!!"
"I always drive by the sushi place but was kind of skeptical being that this is the ONLY sushi restaurant in this city. My boyfriend & I both got two different rolls & a small shrimp lo mein. I think this is an asian "fusion" restaurant because they have everything on their menu. From hibachi to sushi to chinese food! Our rolls were okay, nothing special. My boyfriend actually didn't like his warm, he said it had "too much going on" and he preferred it to be chilled. The rolls were shaped kind of funny, like wide and flat a bit different from your typical roll. I can say the lo mein was fantastic! The shrimp were HUGE and the lo mein noodles were hot & fresh. I will eat here again but stick to lo mein & maybe try the fried rice instead of sushi!"
"So I have gotten complacent with Chinese Food. Been hitting the buffets. So you really forget how good Chinese Food is. This place will remind you just how good fresh food is. The food comes out quick and hot and all pack full of flavor. The price is great for the amount you get."
"I was curious to try this place because of my wife. She tried this place once, then I noticed she returned again and again especially for her lunch breaks. She finally took me with her the other day, needless to say it was super tasty. Now I'm back! I got the shrimp with broccoli and shrimp stir fried rice, with shrimp egg roll and egg drop soup. Everything was hot and delicious! Apologies for mostly eaten egg roll and food, I was eating not thinking about reviews. The service was very courteous, prices very affordable, food is scrumptious and filling. Will definitely be back again and again, highly recommend!"
"The food was good. Our waitress was kind and professional! She helped us with recommendations and was super attentive. I don't go out for hookah often but, I'll definitely be back. I also found this to be a great environment with good music."
"12/10!!!!! This little hole in the wall needs more attention!! Everything is super clean. The man working (the owner) was so kind and helpful. The food was cooked to order. It smelled so good as he was cooking.. our mouths were watering. We got chicken shawarma rice bowl with hummus and a gyro plate for our meal. FRESH authentic Mediterranean at its finest. We got the Baklava for dessert was EXCELLENT. So so good. Melted in my mouth. Owner's mother makes it. GO SUPPORT SMALL!!!! This place was great!"
"Small, clean restaurant with outdoor seating looking over Carrollton. I had lumpia, which was my first experience with this dish. It was delicious, with beef and veggies, lightly fried. I also had the chirashi sushi. I look forward to having some more of the Indonesian dishes when I return. The highlight was the chef and hostess/waitress; both were super friendly, accommodating, and provided great service. Locals and college students should show a little love to this affordable, tasty, and convenient restaurant!"
"First time getting something although my coworkers get Kimmy's delivered often! I'm doing WW so was able to get my California chicken burger in a pita with a side salad! It was amazing! Will definitely be getting it again! The owner is the bomb!"
