The owner had a very active presence in the dining room. He made sure I had all of the condiments that I needed upon serving my order to the table. My shrimp and grits really hit the spot, and it was excellent meal for a great price! More than anything Cork's just has that good ol' southern hospitality that many restaurants have seemed to forgotten about! I will definitely be back on my next visit to BR! Please and Thank You!"

"Incredible food and friendly service. Called 5 min before closing time and they were kind enough to take an order as we were just staying at the microtel across the street. We just had dinner at Crawfish Town USA and I overheard a lady there complaining about how bland the crawfish were. We aren't locals so we aren't connoisseurs by any measure, but we took that comment to heart when heading home. Saw this joint right outside the hotel and it matched the name of a chain I wanted to head to in Abbeville. Took a chance and got another 3 lbs after just polishing off two at CTUSA. Blown away at how sweet the crawfish are here and how much more complex the seasoning is (lots of garlic). We then realized what the other lady was talking about. This place blows CTUSA out of the water. $16.99 for 3 lbs. comes with boiled potato and corn too! (Not like CTUSA that charges $2 for corn and $3 or $4 for 4 pieces of boiled mushrooms cooked in plain water instead of like this place that cooks them in the seasoned water with the crawfish). Definitely happy with this place."

Hubby ordered 1/2&1/2 grilled soft shelled crabs and grilled shrimp, said it was very very good. Service was great and pleasant ordering experience. I read a few of the previous post, and all I can say is - if you do not know people from the bayou then remember this hint: you act like jerks you are going to be treated like jerks. I am going to have to make special trip back here to try the other items in the menu while visiting family."

"Can't believe we've been in Lafayette so long and not tried Riverside Inn. The location was great, and felt like we were going back in time but in a good way. The customer service was excellent, and was warmly greeted. We were able to receive our drinks quickly, (The Chardonnay was great). We were treated to a warm bread basket before we ordered our appetizer, the bread was fresh, warm and the perfect flavor, meaning the balance between sweet and savory, nothing was dominating. Our appetizer the crab cakes, let me repeat crab cake, was delicious, top three best ever, as we've never had it like this, crusted and fried however the filling, so light and airy filled with crab, just amazing. The Gumbo was delicious also, and had the depth of flavor that was a delight. The main course, I had the Ribeye that was cooked to perfection, and nice flavor from the fat, along with the baked sweet potato very nice. The grilled shrimp enhanced the taste. The shrimp pasta was amazing, and flavored with perfection. I also liked the cozy feeling inside which was intimate. Will definitely recommend."

"This is a family-run local establishment that deserves support. I haven't posted on Yelp for years but wanted to make sure that this place got some reviews started since I didn't see any. Ted and his wife run Pho Bayou, which is a local, clean restaurant where the flavors are true and the prices are more than reasonable. They've been open for 4 months and spent 7 months post-hurricane Ida cleaning up the restaurant to get it ready for opening since it was 4 feet underwater and a foot of mud. Also, there's not much in the area for food options, so if you're driving down visiting the area after an air boat or swamp tour, give this place some patronage please.We had the fried eggrolls which tasted great (would recommend pairing it with the fish sauce instead of the sweet and sour sauce), pho noodle soup (nice portion for the regular size and had all the right accompaniments), the lunch special pork rice (the fried rice tasted homemade and very flavorful), and I had the cold rice noodle chicken dish (it is really well put together and probably uses white meat chicken breast to better suit local tastes) which the homemade fish sauce made by Ted's wife only helps amplify the flavors. If a place like Banh Mi Boys in Metairie can get 4 stars on Yelp from the hivemind when they burned our pork, this place is more than qualified of some love and attention from the Yelp community. Note, we didn't try any of the more fusion-y or Chinese foods on the menu but for Vietnamese food, I would say this was on point."

Holy moly the oysters are HUGE and tasty with the bread. You have to get the oysters. Most meals come with a salad of your choice between house or Caesar. The stuffed mushrooms were a great add on for appetizers. I got the norman, it was a cozy meal with really large shrimp. I personally would've liked something more spicy. The gator bites were huge as well and fresh. I recommend if you're trying to get some Louisiana cuisine in the area."

"While at a workshop at Nicholls State, we were looking for a lunch spot with reasonable prices and a variety of options. The menu for Flanagan's met both criteria! Everyone at my table was pleased with their meals. We tried a variety of items: the club sandwich, crawfish stew, Caesar salad, and shrimp remoulade salad. It's always a gamble when you try somewhere unfamiliar in a different city, but everything tasted great. My only reservation about Flanagan's was the service. It took way longer than it should have for our waitress to take our order. In turn, our food took a very long time to come out, causing us to be tardy returning to our workshop. Additionally, our requests were not all met. I asked for honey mustard and never got it. My friend asked for a to-go cup and never got that either. With a few tweaks to the service, this could be a great lunch spot!"

Service is just ok, dishes will sit on your table for the whole dining experience and refills arent happening too quickly. Flies can be an issue but I blame that on the location not necessarily cleanliness. Prices are reasonable."

"I went for the first time for a friend's birthday and everything was outstanding! We started with white wine and a friend got a tomato martini which was to die for. It was unlike anything I've ever had and a week later I'm still dreaming about it. We went during happy hour and a got a few appetizers from that menu, the okra tempura, the fries, and the peach + prosciutto arancini. They were all so good and unlike anything I've ever had. For mains we split the shrimp gnocchi and the stone creek wagyu flank steak. Again, perfection. We also ordered the brown butter griddled cornbread for dessert and they brought it out with a lit candle! So thoughtful and kind. There were 3 of us and we felt like we ordered the perfect amount of food. The total price for each of us was also really reasonable. The service was amazing. The restaurant was so cute on the inside. It felt very romantic. I'm dying to go back!"

"This was the first restaurant we ate at during the most recent trip to Louisiana. We stayed in Gretna and got pedicures in Harvey and was referred to this restaurant by a customer and one the nail artist. We walked in to order takeout, and it was a busy bustling restaurant. Plenty of tables full, plenty of customers waiting on orders. Phone ringing - all good signs. We ordered the seafood gumbo, seafood sampler, and Voodoo crawfish rolls. Every single item was delicious. I especially enjoyed the crawfish rolls, which were hot, and I couldn't wait to get back to the hotel to bite one open to taste- that occurred in the car, as you can see in the picture. I didn't care for the mustard sauce that accompanied the roll, but honestly, you didn't need it. However, a spicy chill sauce would work. My husband said that the gumbo was too seafoody, but he isn't the seafood fan, and I thought the gumbo was good. A great asset to the West Bank!"

"Crawdads are what these low bottom feeders are called in NOLA. Miniscule crustaceans that live in the murky waters of Louisiana. During spring time, these mini lobsters population grow by ten folds so their size can get as large as a your palm. To believe that these guys spend most of their lives in swamps is quite fascinating. You don't get much meat out of them, but the indulging experience is what many of us are seeking for! I was referred to this place by one of my family member since she used to live in Louisiana. Plus they were the only restaurant selling fresh crawfish during the off peak season. (Went in September of 22'). We drove here and it was situated in a quaint plaza. The shop is between two establishment so it's easily miss if you're not familiar with the area. Thank heaven for gps! This was the second time we had came back here since they told us that they will be receiving fresh crawdads in the next few days. We wanted to try authentic crawfish since it was our first time in the states so we called in and placed an order to pick up. They have different options you can select and order by the pound from. You can order po boys sandwices, cajun boiled shrimp, blue crabs, andouilee sausages, turkey necks, corn and potatoes. The first time we were there, we got blue crabs, shrimp and oyster and alligator po boys. The blue crabs and shrimp were plump and sweet. Everything tasted fresh. The po boys were ok. Nothing special but tasty none the less. It was like eating a subway sandwich but with the Cajun flavored proteins. But the best thing from this place is their home made garlic butter, crack sauce. I've been to many cajun/creole restaurants in Southern California and sampled a variety of garlic sauce, but this one here takes it home. Their interpretation of cajun garlic sauce is phenomenal because you taste the true essence of creole cuisine; without all the heavy spices from most of the places I've been to. It's well balance because it's sweet, savory, buttery, and just enough of that addicting spice to make you keep on coming back for more! It's a perfect dipping sauce for seafood and more. Hand down the BEST GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE I've ever tasted. But don't take my word for it. Come try it the next time you're here! Great customer service and the seafood is as fresh as you can taste them. Go out and support your local business!"

I got two appetizers as my lunch and that was plenty. First, I ordered the shrimp boulettes. This reminded me of deep-fried a shrimp shumai but even better. Oh my goodness it was good. When I first saw my lunch I thought they I'd want ranch and nope, I didn't need any sauce. Why mess up perfection?I also got the alligator jalapeño bites. They were good without being too spicy but the inside was too mushy for me. For the most part they had the flavor right it was Just a texture thing. It came with fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried oysters, fried crawfish tails, fries, and hush puppies. The fried catfish was the star for me-crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, with perfectly seasoned breading. While everything on the platter was delicious the hush puppies stole the show. I'm not even sure what goes into making a hush puppy to be honest but what I do know is that the ones here were the best I've ever had.Service was decent and fast too. Even with a party of nine, we were in and out in just an hour and a half and back on the road.If you're ever passing through, I highly recommend stopping by this spot."
