"Food: This being my favorite vegan breakfast spot, I have eaten here multiple times. The pancakes, beignets and vegan crab cakes are delicious and among my favorite menu items. This time I tried the vegan gumbo and I loved there being an option from traditional gumbo. The gumbo has mushrooms, yellow squash and zucchini in it. My only thing was the flavor wasn't rich enough for me.Service: I have always have a pleasant encounter with the staff at the cafe. They was polite and always answer any questions I've hadAtmosphere: Located in the French Market, it is very busy with people in and out of the market. You can order online and pickup order to avoid being in the most of some of the food traffic."
"First time. One of the trendy restaurants so do reserve. Party of 3.A smaller space and quite lively. Great service. Note - NOLA prices are just shy of NYC's...Cocktails, dozen oysters (4 each of Little Moon and Murder Point (both La.) and P&J (Ala.)), tuna crudo, pasta, duck, seafood stew, wine, and 1 dessert. All well presented and tasty.Damages with tip and 5% wellness charge was $375.Recommended."

"Doris Metropolitan has been on my radar for quite some time, so mom and I stopped in for a drink at the bar. This Mediterranean inspired steakhouse is known for its high-quality meats, but you can also get premium seafood and high-end caviar service as well. The ambience is classy & elegant and you will receive a friendly welcome when you arrive. We sat at the bar and the lovely Jaz took care of us. Two Grey Goose Martini's dry - one with Blue Cheese stuffed olives for me and regular olives for mom. We ordered the Truffle Fries to share, and Jaz asked if we wanted some bread. I was initially going to say no, but I'm so glad I said yes because the bread was amazing! There were three types - Jalapeno Cheddar, Onion, & Sesame Brioche. They were fresh & hot out of the oven and were served with three different butters and a tomato confit with olive oil & balsamic. Each one was delicious, and it was obvious that the bread is baked in house. The truffle fries were also very good, and our martinis were excellent.Based on the exceptional service and the life changing bread platter, I will definitely come back for a sit-down meal here. I'll may even have to splurge on the caviar! Happy Hour Tues - Thurs 5 - 6:30 pm"
"I really really enjoyed Paladar 511! Everything we ate was delicious! The food was hot, tasty, and brought out quickly! I got a breakfast cake and tried the farm egg pizza! Soooo good! The drinks were amazing! The service was top tier. Our server was so kind and attentive , but other servers made sure to check on us as well. I love how bright and open the space is! I came for brunch which had a limited menu but I can't wait to return for dinner!"
"If you want New Orleans to feel like home this is your spot I'm from LA my man from Texas and we feel like we from New Orleans baby. Thank you for the put on"
"I have been waiting to go to Toups, and I'm glad that I recently had the chance. Two friends and I had the chance to visit last week, and overall, it was a good visit. First we ordered drinks. The Sally Fields Forever was amazing! It's a relatively small but mighty drink. It's not too sweet, but it was a great mix of sweet and tart. It was alsoPretty strong. I would definitely order again. As someone with a gluten allergy and dairy intolerance, I had to be careful with my order. The turkey necks are roasted, then fried with flour, but my friend loved them. The shrimp appetizer was also good, even though it was light on the shrimp. The highlight of that dish was the sauce. I ordered the pork chop, which was good, not amazing but good. The pork chop was well cooked and not dry, which is impressive since it's such a thick cut of meat. The chop definitely needed a sauce- I used pepper jelly on my leftovers, and it was fantastic. The collards were also pretty good. Not too salty. My friend who ordered the steak also enjoyed her food. Our server was great and worked as a cook for a few year, so he was able to answer all of our questions. The restaurant seemed pretty clean and the restrooms were also relatively clean. I enjoyed my food and would come back, but I would try another dish. I recommend at least trying this spot out once."
"Oh the scallops are the best I have ever had in my life. They were so extremely tender and sweet."
"We went there with a group of seven. We had a wonderful table, and the service was very fast and friendly. We all did the prix fixe menu. We tried a wide range of dishes, including seafood, beef, and chicken. The desserts were amazing. The price was really, not bad for a restaurant of this high quality. If you're looking for a place for a special celebration, definitely consider this one."
"Been coming to this place for years and it never disappoints. Wait take that back only disappoints me that they aren't open on Monday and Tuesday. The location is perfect the service is always welcoming and the food is consistently flavorful and timely. Also the ambiance is the perfect mix of casual with classy. I typically go for the bottomless mimosa and the ratios are perfect and if you want a little more or less of something they are on it. Check this place out if you haven't already."
"Beautiful ambiance inside and outside. Great service and suggestions from our server for drinks and appetizers. Will come back again when I'm in NOLA."
"Olive or Twist is an industrially styled restaurant featuring repurposed wood accents and pendulum light fixtures, creating a cozy yet modern ambiance. The menu boasts brunch options and an extensive spirits list, catering to a variety of tastes. While the setting was promising, my experience was a mix of highs and lows.I ordered the BBQ shrimp and stone-ground grits. While the shrimp were well-seasoned and paired with a tangy sauce, the grits left something to be desired. I prefer my grits creamy and smooth, but these were just average. On the brighter side, the side of fresh seasonal fruit was delightful and refreshing. My mother ordered the bananas foster French toast and absolutely loved it--rich, decadent, and perfectly executed. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service. Our server was patient, attentive, and quick to refill drinks and check on us. His genuine kindness made the meal more enjoyable. As a wheelchair user, I always evaluate accessibility. Olive or Twist had a light, easy-to-open bathroom door and a spacious handicap stall, which was appreciated. However, the restroom's lack of cleanliness was a major disappointment. Stains, hair, and even mold on the toilet, along with dirty floors, made it unusable. This aspect needs immediate attention to ensure a comfortable and sanitary experience for all guests.Olive or Twist has potential with its inviting atmosphere, creative menu, and excellent service. However, the food could be more consistent, and the cleanliness of the facilities needs significant improvement. My mother enjoyed her meal, and while my experience was just "okay," the friendly service made it a bit better. With some adjustments, this restaurant could be a standout spot for brunch. For now, it's a place I'd revisit cautiously."
"I happened into this restaurant/bar last night. It proclaims itself to be a wine bar. I asked for a glass of Merlot and was told, "we don't have that." I then asked for a glass of Pinot Noir and the bartender begrudgingly shoved it at me across the bar. I asked if i could order from the menu. He handed me a menu and told me to order from him and someone would bring me the food when it was ready. I ordered the herbsaint oysters. It was okay...not worth the $20 price tag. I then ordered the prime rib meatballs as that sounded interesting. When those arrived, the sauce was piping hot, but the meatballs were cold in the center. (I guess they did not microwave them long enough.) Anyway, for a city so forward leaning re: alcohol, this place should try to keep up with their peers."

Left here today pretty shocked at how positive the reviews had been. I came specifically because the reviews were so positive. The storefront staff was rude and disinterested. The food was just average, nothing spectacular. Would not come back.

My boyfriend and I had a great dinner at Coquette. We started with the five onion soup which was probably my favorite dish of the night. We also had the marinated crab claws which were delicious. For entrees I got the beef short rib which were some of the best short rib I'd had recently. My boyfriend got the red snapper which was also delicious. We finished with a cookie dessert which was also nice. The cocktails were strong and delicious too. This is a great special occasion or date night location.

Wish we could give 10 stars. Place was incredible. Great music playing , incredible food, and the service was impeccable. Dinner: complimentary bread was so good. Steaks were cooked to perfection. The highlight though was the Bonaparte dessert! So excellent!Service: our waiter Adam was fantastic. Took great care of us, shared tips on the city and Mardi Gras, and even provided us a complimentary dessert for being first time visitors. Above and beyond!

Outside of the typical fare you may find in the French Quarter, there is a wonderful Italian restaurant called Paladar 511 that is hip and modern, with nectarous cuisine that will linger on your palate for a good time afterward. The restaurant itself has both a ground floor where most of the dining tables are located with an open kitchen to watch the action and a wine cellar in the back. The mezzanine floor has a private dining area for parties that would like to have the space to themselves for fun and relaxed experiences. If you site at the bar, you get to experience watching the kitchen staff preparing all the meals, which is pretty cool. Cocktail-wise, I enjoyed the Bad Mr Jive that was rye-based with sweet vermouth, Amaro, and Apertif, which was more Manhattan themed with a twist. For dinner, I savored every bite of the pork saltimbocca that was glorious with the polenta, grilled broccolini, and capers. The marsala jus complimented so delightfully. It was one of my favorite meals in New Orleans.

This place is amazing. The food and presentation were fantastic! I'll be sure to add this to my New Orleans itinerary moving forward. Try the gumbo grits!

Crab salad with pickled quail eggs was just what I needed after rich-eating all weekend. Beautiful lettuces, plenty of crab meat, little quail eggs like pickled spicy jewels So flavorful! My husband loved the BBQ shrimp sandwich and we enjoyed sharing the crab claw appetizer. My cocktail was light, delicious and easy-drinking. Love that the glasses are chilled- it's a nice touch. The place seems kind of casual, not the most appealing dining room, but the level of food that comes out of that kitchen is *top notch*. And the food is what it's all about. I'd eat here weekly if I lived in NOLA. My third time here, and I've never been disappointed, only impressed. Our server was excellent and didn't miss a step, though we were seated outside. He knowledgeably answered all questions, and gave good advice. Chef Toups is a responsible community member who I'm delighted to support, especially when his food is so flavorful and delicious.

So happy to finally have a chance to experience this lovely restaurant. The staff were on the ball, personable and had great knowledge of the menu.I had the venison with the blackberry reduction and my partner had the lamb. Neither of us were disappointed. I hope the venison is something they will have back on the menu after coolinary, it was so good.We will definitely return for another meal soon.

The last time I was slat the Pelican Club was 2011 and it was epic so we had to make a return visit. It did not disappoint. Our server was outstanding and took fantastic care of us. Drinks were well made and came out quickly - wine selection there is second to none. Ambience was outstanding and was similar to other high end restaurants we have been to in NOLA.Food: came out quickly but not too quickly. Their gumbo was legitimately world class (I wouldn't except anything less) and rivals any gumbo I've ever had. My braised short rib was incredible and may have been the best short rib I've had. My wife had the crispy whole fish that blew her away. She ate the whole thing - I mean it, the whole thing.Again, this place is legendary and didn't disappoint- 5 stars just don't do it justice. This place is incredible.

"It's pretty big and they have a lot of seating for inside as well as outside. They had the doors open to the outside so it was pretty chilly. Anyways we were seated right away for a table of 6 around 8 pm on a Wednesday evening. Our server, Olivia was simply amazing. She was very courteous and came at all of the right times and answered all of my questions. We ordered grilled cheese for the kids, but they don't use cheddar which is typically what my son likes. It's more like fancy grilled cheese. They have fried pork skin for complimentary appetizers. We split the shrimp corn dogs. While the presentation was cute. The consistency on size wasn't the same for all pieces. It's exactly as it sounds, it's shrimp in a corn dog batter, which wasn't as impressive as I'd hope. My husband had the shrimp poboy which was pretty good. My mom's gumbo was kind of salty, but still flavorful. My cousin finished all of her Brie grilled cheese and tomato soup quickly. I'm pretty picky with my shrimp and grits, but boy was I impressed. All of the flavor was there!! The shrimp could have been bigger, but cooked just perfectly. I could eat the sauce all day because the sauce makes the dish. This was my favorite meal here.At the end we had cotton candy, which was such a delight and cute finish to the meal. I would recommend this place to others and come back if I'm ever in town again."
"Another delightful lunch at Criollo. Not cheap but not nuts either. And it's so good, so nicely served, with so many genteel little extras, in such pleasant surroundings. OK so what extras--a little coat/umbrella rack delivered to the table as we removed our garments and bags. An ice bucket for my sparkling water. Not with any pretension, just a natural hospitality. The menu has the standard things you'd expect in a hotel; and the "New Orleans" things you'd expect here are done with their own twist and they're really good: gumbo, crab cakes, beignets. On the beignets: theirs are nothing like the lovely fried dough pillows you'll get at Café du Monde; Criollo's are about an inch in diameter and packed with creamy crab and corn. Super rich, but a treat. So the food: all great, or I'd never have bothered writing this. Besides the beignets we shared the shrimp crab avocado stack, a wedge salad and the crab cakes. The crab cakes were probably the best of the lot, but not by much. The blue cheese dressing on the salad was much remarked for its smoothness. Lastly the staff. New Orleans is a tourist town and sometimes staff are out to impress. At Criollo they all just seemed like nice friendly people, with very good manners, who wanted to offer us a lovely meal. Just a pleasure. I don't know anything about the leadership of the Monteleone Hotel, where Criollo is located. But from our experiences at Criollo I think they must be something special."
"I love Ralph's and I am not sure why it doesn't have a higher rating. Service and decor are both great. The drinks are good - I had the milk punch without the peppermint. Their biscuits are some of the best in NOLA. I got the eggs, bacon grits brekkie with a side of biscuits. My friend had the turtle soup. It is quite good - not too tomato-ey like some places. And then the bbq shrimp and grits which were good. But def get those biscuits. Coffee was unusually good as well."
"This was a return visit to Snug Harbor on Frenchman Street! Always a cool place and known for their musical performances and good food. Sadly, for me, the food quality has suffered. The food was lukewarm and the dried out!The staff were personable and friendly and that helped with the overall disappointment of the meal!I say...go for the music...stick with drinks."
"Best food we had in New Orleans. Accommodating to allergies. Places to hide away from the bustle and noise."
"Love this spot. Food is always delicious and so are the cocktails. My friends and I regularly schedule our "ladies night" here."
"First time trying Spoke and Barrel, wonderful atmosphere. Clean comfy seating. Friendly staff. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something different. Pet friendly patio."
"We stopped in for a bite to eat. The place looked the bill of a New Orleans restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. Of our whole experience, there were only two things that we didn't like. One was sat by a group of women who gathered for a friendly outing and get together. They didn't have a problem with that, only the fact that they had to keep getting louder and louder like they were having a party at their own house. They had a great time, and that was great, just a little nerve-racking for all the other guest trying to enjoy a nice meal. It's not the restaurants fault. The second thing was that the bartender forgot to fill my servers order for my beer. Sat there and watching my server perform her side job duties and happened to stop and check on her tables and noticed I didn't have my beer yet after 15 minutes of waiting. Then, she watched her tell the bartender and the bartender, saying she was sorry and that she completely forgot.Enough of me venting. LolI ordered the Cajun two steps, which was fried fish over a bed of jambalaya topped with a crayfish cream sauce. The flavor was great and cooked perfectly. I only wish they had put a little more of the sauce over the fish. My wife ordered the pan seared reddish that was topped with herb butter and was also cooked perfectly. It came with two sides that were garlic roasted potatoes and steamed vegetables. Which were full of flavor. For dessert, I had the classic New Orleans bread pudding topped with a rum sauce and homemade whipped cream. Delicious!!! My wife had a homemade strawberry cheesecake that was fluffy and had a thick crust.Other than having to scream to hold your own conversation over the girlfriends table and my late beer. This was a great plate to eat."
"Stopped in to grab a bite for dinner. I was on my own, so I sat at the bar. The atmosphere was casual, warm, and beautiful. The service was warm, friendly, and fast. I had the tuna poke appetizer and also the cheese curds appetizer. Both were absolutely delicious! Their upstairs private dining area is gorgeous! What a wonderful neighborhood gem."
"Away from the restaurants in the Quarter and situated on a narrow street in an old New Orleans neighborhood, Gautreau's is a small and intimate (for date nights) restaurant mostly. Though I saw a family of six dine here ---so not strictly for dates or proposals. Reservations are sought after because of its limited number of tables. I experienced one meal here and found the food to be very good, the service impeccable, and the owner checks in on each table to ensure that diners are content and happy. Would love to come back next time I'm in town. Tip: The wine and cocktails lists are noteworthy. It's an Uber ride from the Quarter/downtown"
"Great food, friendly atmosphere.Fried chicken here is excellent, but the Stromboli sandwich is everything I want on a pizza stacked in every bite (without the repurcussions of a heavy red sauce.)"
"A hidden gem on Magazine Street in the Garden District. Went for a dinner during a recent trip to New Orleans with friends. Nice to sit in a private alcove in a restaurant in a charming, renovated historic home. So cute and cozy. So many delicious choices for dinner and dessert. Chef Anton creates nightly specials as well. The pumpkin soup special was perfect for a chilly Halloween weekend night. So rich and comforting. Delicious! Hard to choose between the duck and the lamb, but chose the leg of lamb special served on risotto that was recommended by a friend. So tender that it just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. A great choice. For dessert, the creamsicle baked Alaska is so pretty and so creative. A Meyer lemon sorbet is hidden inside the browned meringue served over a raspberry coulis. The blueberry cobbler was delicious, too. Add a hot tea as a nice way to end the meal. Limited parking, but street parking is available. Make a reservation, the restaurant is small and quite popular. Nice place for dinner in New Orleans."
"Great vibe of this place. Perfect for a date night. They had one of my fave wines-gruner. I've been searching for mussels that I liked in New Orleans and finally found a place! I would come back for the mussels and wine. The mussels were the perfect spice level! It is a thicker tomato sauce where I usually like more brothy but it was sooo good still! I wish there were more!Steak board was just ok!! Fries were pretty yummy. Service was great! I would sit at a regular table next time bc the bar top was kinda small. Will def be back."
"Charming little space with excellent service and food. I ordered fried oysters on a bed of grilled romaine. Could take or leave the romaine but oysters and Caesar dressing delish. Friend had a very nice salmon salad. They bring warm bread to table in a brown paper bag. Iced tea attractively served with lemon and mint sprig and frequently refreshed."
"First visit food was really good and fresh! 1 little issue (waitress forgot my food order) so hubby got a salad and had to wait for my tuna wrap, was delicious. I only took a pic of the fried cauliflower We did have to add seasoning to all of the dishes but I don't hold that against them!"
"The concept is that they change their menu every week with something new and seasonal. Kind of hard to write a review in the sense that anyone reading this will not be able to order what I ordered. The drinks I think are more consistent week to week, and if their chili limeade is any indication, are strongly flavored; that must be the spiciest cold beverage I've ever had. What I ate was intriguing: a fairly conventional but delicious salad with feta and toasted almonds, followed by a main dish of gnocchi with ponzu and some Asian vegetables, the sort of fusion cuisine I occasionally try on my own but rarely pull off so convincingly. That menu they're always changing is pretty small, but invariably has one vegan entree. They also release the menu online, so you can peruse it; I've checked quite a few times. Occasionally, I decide not to go because what they're offering isn't to my taste. Other times, I think it looks appealing but it's gone before I can make it in. They are open at fairly limited times. It's a small and very Bywater-infused atmosphere, with tattoos all around and an old wooden vibe. For some reason there seemed to be only one person really waiting tables and it was not a fast service experience. This strikes me as a place you wouldn't come for a quick meal anyway. It's better to enjoy it slowly over conversation while marveling at whatever creativity emerges from the kitchen."
"Rivershack food is great. Fried pickles were amazing, the outside was perfectly crisp and pickle inside was perfectly moist. I thoroughly enjoyed my roast beef poboy. It was a debris style and has a nice garlic flavor on the correct poboy bread. Mm y partner had the burger, which was cooked to his taste and fries were fresh and crisp. Atmosphere is a typical bar atmosphere. We will definitely be back when I town."
"Still our favorite restaurant in Hammond. Beautiful inside and out, with excellent service, music and lighting at the right level, and top flight food and drink. On this occasion we had the grilled oyster and andouille appetizers and the drum and ribeye entrees, and they were delicious, as were the Salty Duck and Brown Butter Old Fashioned cocktails. We will be back soon."
"Great food and ambience!! This is a cute and cozy spot with a modern flare! The food is amazing and the service is great!! I've had wonderful experiences each time I've visited. I highly recommend checking this place out!"
"This is one of the more popular bars in Metairie. Usually 2-3 bartenders working at night. We usually come here once or twice a month after work as I work a few miles down the street. Food is good (we usually get a steak). Bartenders are usually busy and sometimes can take ahwile to get service. Swamp Room is still Swamp Room (popular, fun atmosphere, good food)."
"Stayed at the Ritz for a business meeting and experienced M Bistro food twice. Once in the afternoon when we grazed off the bar/lounge menu. The sliders and deviled eggs were both fantastic. Flatbreads were good too, as was the charcuterie plate. Had the purple haze cocktail--can't go wrong when Monkey 47 is listed!Had dinner the next night in the restaurant section and it was great as well. Nice music coming from the lounge for entertainment. The street corn bisque is something I'm going to be talking about for a long time. One spoonful and I told my colleagues I would need some time to myself...to enjoy this amazing bisque. So good I'm going to have thoughts of driving 10 hrs each way to New Orleans to have more. The artichoke-crusted red fish entree was also delicious. Don't forget the beignets for dessert! The whole experience is nothing less than I would have expected from this Ritz Carlton but it was still nice to be so happy after eating and drinking here."
"I think that I found my new favorite lunch spot in Metairie! I love that they have lunch specials everyday. We went on a Monday and had the red beans with rice lunch special. It was a nice large serving. The smoked sausage was delicious! It made the dish. It came with two pieces of garlic bread and a salad. The bread was tasty and the salad was good. I opted for their house dressing. It was very yummy. I ordered an ice tea. They gave me a nifty plastic to go cup with their logo. I totally dug that. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The decor was fun. Very New Orleans! The place was clean. The TVs were much appreciated. I will be back!"
"Beautiful, historic home inside - feels like you are someone's special dinner guests. A nice selection of entrees and appetizers. I had read about the pizza, so we had gumbo and a cheese pizza. The gumbo was excellent. The pizza, not so much. It looks pretty, but the crust tastes like a frozen pizza crust. Service could not have been more lovely and the martinis were perfect and reasonably priced."
