"Fantastic dinner last night. Maddie was our waitress and she was fantastic. Classic old school Italian food. Absolutely fantastic food atmosphere and service. Drinks and wine were amazing also."
"Excellent sandwiches. Also had the crab claw appetizer, was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly."

"Although this is a pizza restaurant, their salads are next level. I love a good salad and I know quality, so when I see a place that is not a salad specialty restaurant and they still take their salad dishes seriously I just love that. This place used to have a Greek salad that was amazing but they change the menu around periodically I was told, so I had to get their Caesar salad. They put small shreds of red onion, fresh Parmesan, House made croutons and House made Caesar over Romain lettuce that is perfect. That salad is $11.50 but it's worth every penny because it's a big portion. Now to the pizza, I tried a new kind, which is their Italian special, just a slice, and it was great. Perfect temperature not too hot not too cold. The staff are very friendly and the food came out quick and they have a cute little outdoor area that I didn't know existed where you can sit and get some fresh air if you want. This place is definitely worth every dollar. I will always come back when I'm in the area."
"Oh wow. Where to start? Visiting for a conference and decided to check out places nearby. Stumbled upon this gem and fell in love. Ambiance is cozy, service was on point and the food was divine! The crab risotto I still dream about- creamy and luxurious. So good. The pasta was filling and full of flavor and a good kick to it! My coworker got a cocktail and raved about it. Would be a great date spot or after work and just relax and unwind fromThe day spot. I can't remember the name of the dessert I got as I asked the host to surprise me with his favorite- but I did add a picture- it was fantastic. Can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu."
"Louisiana Pizza Kitchen is located not far from Frenchmen Street. You can make a reservation through OpenTable and they are able to accommodate large groups. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and she managed our large group well! The food was just fine. Nothing was really special or outstanding. I didn't love the appetizers and the pizza's thin crust just wasn't my style. Overall, it was a good spot to be able to accommodate our group, but nothing special."
"Loved this place. The pizza was amazing and not expensive at all. The service was quick and they were really nice. There's a seating area not much room but the atmosphere was cool. You should give this place a try you won't be disappointed at all."
"We came for a special birthday celebration for my friend during our epic Halloween vacation and we were not disappointed. Our meals were absolutely fantastic and the service was impeccable. The decor was simple, tasteful and elegant. I cannot wait to return!"
"My father really encouraged us to come here. He had lived here for many years and advised us this was the place. In the maze of rooms we were seated in a smaller room in front, which was nice. It never felt crowded or noisy. Our server Susie eventually came around and was prompt to ask us if we wanted drinks and appetizers and the promise of warm bread. Ultimately their warm bread is bread in a white paper bag. It wasn't warm enough to melt butter. Each table was delivered the same white bag of bread. It really is wasteful to use so many bags when a traditional presentation of warm bread in. basket is more effective. We decided on cocktails and the Combination Remoulade, advertised as crab meat and shrimp topped with golden remoulade sauce and a ring of spicy cocktail sauce. For dinner I gave into the calling for Original Pascal's Barbeque Shrimp, the specialty of the house prepared in a spicy and tangy sauce. My wife had the special, red fish stuffed with crab and shrimp with a spicy cream sauce. It came with steamed veggies. The Combination Remoulade wasn't as promised. It was shrimp and crabmeat on lettuce with their version of remoulade. On the side a plastic dressing container with seafood sauce that wasn't spicy but rather tasted like they had opened a jar and poured it in. My wife liked the remoulade a lot. I thought it was pickle forward and tasted a lot like tartar sauce, which she likes as well. The biggest detractor for this was that the shrimp were not cleaned, the telltale black line down the back of each was still obvious. My wife's fish was nice, and a nice mix of flavors. The spicy element was jalapeño that appeared in small chunks in the cream sauce. Easy for her to avoid, but that telltale grassy taste was evident. On the side she had plain, unseasoned steamed vegetables. Clearly an afterthought since the literally like came out of the steamer and on to the plate without any thought to flavor. For my entree, the flavor of the shrimp sauce was delicious, but tangy is not a word I would use, and absolutely not spicy. Even my wife, a verified spice wimp, would not use the word spicy. The huge bummer here is that they charge you $28 for a plate of shrimp, offer you a bib and a pile of napkins, and bring you a bowl/plate of unprepared shrimp in liquid. Yeah, I knew what I was signing up for and ordered it anyway. I have peeled a lot of shrimp and crawfish in my life and none were this soupy or difficult. Peeling and deveining them all made my meal unappetizing and not worth it. It was tempting to sop up the sauce with bread, but there were so many legs and antenna and, like the remoulade, bits of shell. The thought of carrying that to my mouth on the bread made that much less temptingSo, we have done it. We can check it off the list. We had bbq shrimp at Pascal's Menale. Happy to say I will leave tables for others in the future, I don't need to go back."
"Surprisingly good! Upped my standard for pizza and oysters now. We both will return soon."
"I attended a group dinner here . The atmosphere was nice and the lighting was perfect. The room was a little tight due to our party size. Our server was attentive and knew the group menu well. I enjoyed the fish Katie but the bread pudding stole the show."
"Delicious food! Specials of the day!Red Fish and stuffed cannoli.Service was good ( very busy too)Carla did an amazing job with our service and specialty drinks! We enjoyed our meal thoroughly."
"Food is always fresh here. The caesar salad was sooooo delicious. I cleaned the bowl, which was chilled! Love it!! I ordered the paneed veal with fettuccine and asparagus which was also fresh. Complimentary bread and dipping oil sealed the deal with a glass of malbec. Chefs kiss. Small but a clean space.....cool place to stop by for lunch or dinner."

We made a reservation for this spot. Perfect for a date night. Service was amazing. The lights were low and they had candles on the table. We had lemon drops and they tasted amazing! All the food was fresh and warm when it came to us. Their bread was soft and flakey. Everything came out in a timely manner. It was cold in the main dining room but we were able to get seated in a warmer area of the restaurant. Overall, a great experience

I just love Madina's. It captures the true soul of New Orleans. Not fancy, not low end... it's the sweet spot that makes for a great dining experience.Located on Canal Street in Mid-City this restaurant has been a family style mainstay for a very long time, yet continues to maintain consistent quality. You can't miss the place based on its vibrant pink facade. There's a small parking lot next to it, and be sure to arrive early as there are no reservations and the wait time can be long. This place is popular with locals, and they get a good number of informed tourists too.We arrived early for dinner, 5:45, and seated right away. The atmosphere is cozy and down home. Comfortable for comfort food.I ordered a cup of gumbo that was awesome, rich and delicious with all the right ingredients for my taste, including a crab claw. YUM!We got bread and it was the perfect accompaniment. For my entree I had catfish with shrimp Creole on top... oh my gosh, so good. It was a substantial portion and although catfish is not my favorite fish, this was absolutely perfect in preparation and taste.I washed it down with a local draft IPA beer. It was all good and our server was absolutely delightful, helpful and professional.I always look forward to coming here, again and again.

Review: Pizza Delicious - A Bywater GemPizza Delicious is a standout local pizzeria nestled on Piety Street in the Bywater neighborhood. This beloved spot attracts a diverse crowd--locals, college students, and even families with young children--all drawn in by their giant, flavorful pies.On my first visit, I tried the Margherita pizza, which was expertly baked with a crisp, well-balanced undercarriage and just the right amount of crunch. The light touch of oil kept the flavors clean, allowing the fresh ingredients to shine.Beyond the pizza, the welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. The staff was friendly, and it was clear this is a neighborhood staple, as they greeted many customers by name. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, reinforcing the care they put into both their food and service. If you're looking to support a great local business while enjoying some of the best pizza in town, Pizza Delicious is a must-visit.

Sofía is such a downtown delight. My friends and I came here for a girls night out and shared quite a few different dishes. So much pasta, wine and pizza. Everything tasted great. The Cacio e Pepe is so simple but so delicious. Also, can't go wrong with a margherita pizza. It took me a while to get to Sofia but now I can't wait to get back.

Fantastic pizza, great service, and some really good ice cold draft beers. Sometimes you just need a break from red beans and jambalaya. Although they have that here too!Add: met the owner today (Chet) and found out he's been at this location for 27 years! This afternoon I had the crab beignets and they were amazing. Also, the place is decorated with some beautiful local art too. This is a definite stop you have to make!!

Ever on Bourbon and need a spot late? Go HERE! Pizzas great and they usually have 4 types. We were brought here by some locals and it was perfect after a night drinking. My friend and I decided to get more of it to test if it was as good as we remembered but didn't want to walk...THEY DELIVER! They come on a bike and it estimated 45min but we got it in 25...and it was still just as good. Staff is nice for having to deal with the bourbon craziness during Mardi Gras. Overall- would go again if we're ever back in New Orleans.

Came here with my bestie for her 40th birthday celebration with two other friends. We all traveled to NOLA for the occasion and this restaurant was particularly special for my bestie as it was her dad's favorite restaurant and he had brought her here as a child. When we got to the restaurant we were seated at a 4 top table in a room that was so cold it was like walking into a walk-in fridge. Our table ended up being right next to the wall vent as well with air blowing directly on me. It was uncomfortably cold, not only for me right next to the vent but for my bestie and our other friend who was in the pathway of the air. So one of my friends who is currently pregnant and was actually wearing a sweater went up to host stand and nicely asked if perhaps we could be moved or if something could happen with the air. The host said to her "You're cold wearing that sweater?" WHAT? She said no, that her friends wearing dresses were right next to the vent. They did come over and turn down the air and bring my a throw blanket to drape over me so I do appreciate that but holy cow, questioning a pregnant guest about how they could be cold in their attire?! It just got worse from there. It took us at least 10 minutes to be greeted by our server Keith and given menus. And that's being generous. It felt like an eternity. Then it was at least another 15 minutes before he came back to get drink orders but we had already decided what we were getting and things were taking so long we felt we needed to order everything. He seemed annoyed that we wanted to order right away. We ordered the eggplant appetizer. My friend ordered the baked casserole dish to which there was an awkward exchange between my friend and Keith about if she was sure she wanted that. My bestie got the bbq shrimp, I got the veal piccata and my other friend got the other veal dish. I ordered a glass of rosé, my friend got a glass of Chardonnay and my bestie and other friend got NA beers. We got a plate of butter and then 10 minutes later a paper bag of barely warm bread that was cracker hard. The butter was good. Finally Keith comes back and says that to be transparent our food was going to take awhile. Okay fine. But they weren't particularly busy but my bestie and I work in the industry and we realize there's a lot behind the scenes that guests don't see and maybe there was some kind of situation. It's fine. But here's the thing...dead glassware wasn't ever cleared, bread plates weren't cleared. It was so awkward because I ordered another glass of wine and he brings it to me and leaves the empty one right there. They put down our appetizer without any serving utensils so we had to use our silverware to grab it which was difficult to do for my friends with their empty beer bottles in the way. I will say that this appetizer was incredible, piping hot and delicious. I should have just gotten that as an entree. Our food just wasn't great. Everything was lukewarm, except for my friends casserole dish that was so hot she couldn't even enjoy it. My veal picatta was tiny and the breading was soggy. The sauce was watery. It didn't have a lot of flavor. My other friends breaded veal was rock hard. I tasted the bbq shrimp. All you could taste was black pepper. There was no complexity to the flavor of the broth at all. Finally we ordered dessert. We got the bread pudding and chocolate mousse. Both were delicious but when my bestie asked for extra sauce for the bread pudding Keith said something along the lines of "I dont know if we can because the kitchen is shutting down " but came through.Again, we work in the industry. The correct response would have been "let me see what I can do for you". By the time we were done the restaurant was empty and they were VACUUMING!!! Are you serious?!?? First of all, our reservation was for 7:30. We didn't start eating our appetizer until 8:25. It was not OUR fault that we ended up there later, and to have staff shutting down around us with a vacuum is like insult to injury. When she wanted to buy another shirt to replace the one that was her dads that she wears to sleep in every night she got an audible sigh. ARE YOU KIDDING?I was fuming leaving that restaurant and I was trying to stay positive for her sake but we work together in fine dining and I know she was thinking exactly what I was and she was upset she brought us there and it was HER 40th birthday!!! There was no candle. There was a vacuum. My friend was questioned when talking about how cold it was, service was the slowest I've ever seen for an unpacked restaurant, the food was overpriced for what we got, and this restaurant that holds sentimental value to my best friend is now tarnished and she still feels bad that went there. She will never go back.Y'all need to read Unreasonable Hospitality because y'all dropped the ball.

"Loved loved my experience here! Came here on a Saturday night and it was pretty packed . Make sure you make reservations if not you will be waiting, especially on busy nights. So we started with the fried mozzarella . I also got the cannelloni and then my friend got the shrimp pasta. So so good. Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress Lacey was amazing. She was attentive, kind and great with her recommendations. If you're looking for Italian this is the spot to check out ."
"We decided to stop in to Bacchus on the Beach the night before we left town. I soooo wish we would have had time for a quick bite beforehand, though. Their food was delicious and I would have absolutely returned to try more treats. All of the ladies in our group got appetizers. We ordered the crab croquettes, the Mardi Gras poppers, and the seared ahi tuna. We all shared a bite of everything and it was phenomenal. The drinks were tasty (I had an old fashioned) and the service was top notch. If you are in the area, definitely come check out this wonderful restaurant and enjoy the beautiful sunset!"
"I've been meaning to go to Avo since it opened but somehow just never got there. I finally made it over last month! We shared a special bruschetta with salmon and a caesar salad to start; both were great. Then we all opted for pasta as our main with one bolognese and the other two the crab cacio e pepe. The pasta was outstanding and everyone loved their dishes; mine was loaded with crabmeat. We ended our meal with cheesecake, tiramisu and zeppole. I was glad the sauce came on the side of the zeppole so I could dip and retain the crispiness of the pastry. The pistachio ice cream was great too. And my dining companions loved their desserts too.We also had a couple of cocktails and service was great. The whole meal was quite nostalgic for me since I used to eat at this location, long ago when it was another restaurant. Parking is on the street and reservations are recommended."
"Great food, friendly atmosphere.Fried chicken here is excellent, but the Stromboli sandwich is everything I want on a pizza stacked in every bite (without the repurcussions of a heavy red sauce.)"
"Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Super upbeat atmosphere with authentic Italian food that is a local go to for a very long time. You'll be very happy when you leave here.If you want real Italian food and great atmosphere. Authentic Baton Rouge - this is it."
"The menu was plentiful with just about any type of seafood item that you could think of. I settled on the seafood platter, which consisted of fried shrimp, fish and oysters. This may be the second time I've had oysters and I've determined that I'm not a fan. They weren't bad but they're just not my thing. Shrimp and fish were delicious, as were the fries. I accompanied the meal with a salad which was fresh, crisp and delicious. Only had water to drink, but there was a fully stocked bar."
"As a critical 9 month pregnant woman, I legit have no complaints. Everything was perfect, it was beautiful in there, very loud because there was a lot of people but it was a Saturday night. We had a reservation for 8pm and got sat about 5 minutes later. I got the veal pane, and my bf got the veal parmesan. I liked his a little better but both were absolutely amazing and served with spaghetti and salad which were really good as well. Every course comes with fresh bread. The service was really great, fast and efficient. We got coffee afterwards and it was strong and delicious."
"This is a great local spot right off the highway to grab food on the way home. We also do a to go order and it doesn't take long, staff is friendly. The pizza is great. The pastas are okay but are a bit on the greasy side. My fav here is the Cesar salad add grilled chicken. They recently started cutting my chicken into cubes which I'm not a huge fan of, I'd rather it whole or in the strips but the salad is good. I recommend texted dressing. The Greek salad is also really tasty."
"One of the most enjoyable lunches in all my 59.5 years. I ordered the pasta bolognese...and I didn't want to because I've been here before and had the eggplant, which is also stellar. The wonderful server, Tracey, recommended it. The dish was so good my toes curled. In all of North America, in all of the Mediterranean...you may find a server as kind, as dutiful, as wonderful, but none more so. She smiles and acts as if it is a true pleasure to serve. My kind of server at an Italian restaurant. Classy and professional and attentive. Ask for her if you think of it.The setting is so Italian. Even if you did not come in hungry, you would crave Italian cuisine just in the setting alone. The music pairs with it ever so well. The prices are legit as well. This is a must-go-to...stellar food and service and ambience right here in Kenner."
"Well, now I've been back a couple times and I've had it delivered and I have to say my waitress last night seemed not very knowledgeable. (we thought we go back and sit one more time.) Last night dinner was just bad. The sauce on the pasta was so sweet. I swear to God it tasted like somebody just dumped sugar on top of my plate. The medallions were great. The chicken was OK but the sauce I don't know if I'll ever eat that again. The other thing the waitress told me that she knows that her sweet tea is not good so when I ordered sweet tea and received it and it wasn't sweet tea and her only remedy was to offer me a different drink. Needless to say I was a little disappointed, all night was OK but dinner was let's just say not so much.We love the ambience except last night ball game was pretty loud and intrusive for their not being that many customers there will try again, but it may not be soon."
"Cash only but been there many times! And still delish. Try to bring at least 4 people with you as all the dishes are served family style. My favorites are Mosca's Italian crab salad and Shrimp Mosca. Don't for get to try the Oysters Mosca too! Also love the Chicken a la Grande and tried my first ever chicken cacciatore. I'm afraid to try chicken cacciatore anywhere else because I'm sure I will be disappointed. I always love their Spaghetti and Bordelaise. The staff treats you like guests in their homes. This time I enjoyed their Decoy Sauvignon Blanc with my feast. Pro tip - do not eat anything the day of visit and wear dark stretchy clothes-you're welcome!"
"An awesome hometown, local restaurant in Southdowns! I love this location... very clean, plenty of parking, and great food.We came on a Wednesday night around 6, and we sat right down at one of the high top tables. This gives sports bar vibes with tons of tvs, a bar you can sit at, jerseys on the wall, and booth/high top/table seating. The waitress was fine, she just didn't tell us about the specials on the back of the menu. We hadn't been here before so we didn't know, but we likely would have changed our order for the specials. Anyways, I got the dozens oysters, and they were delicious! My mom got the burger and my dad got the gumbo with tuna appetizer. The food was delicious and came out very fast! Will be back!!"
"Very cute spot in Houma. I did not expect this type of experience out there. Pleasantly surprised! Good quality ingredients exceptional staff and the ambiance is charming. It reminds me of a dark mahogany library you'd curl up and read a book in. The food is a little on the heavy side for my liking and the menu is a little over whelming; but other than that, I really recommend this spot! I go every time I am in Houma."
"Hidden gem! Di Giulio Brothers is hands down the most authentic Italian food in Baton Rouge. There's a reason it is packed at 6pm, parking spots full, long wait...because the food and atmosphere is worth it! They since expanded seating, but recommend getting there early. We started out with the calamari which was crispy, fresh, and had amazing flavor. The soft shell crabs were fairly inexpensive but were the largest I have seen in so long! They were full, sweet and perfectly fried. Highly recommend! Another dish we absolutely would order again: Mike's Pizza. The eggplant is a nice touch! The flavor of the pizza is incredible - you will not be disappointed. The sea-bass was sub par in my opinion; wish they would have used a different cut of the sea-bass as it was extremely dry. The pesto was great, however! Certainly recommend if you're poking for an authentic Italian restaurant with phenomenal food!"
"me and my lover went to dinner here for our Valentine's Day and it was immaculate. Food was extremely fast--fastest service I've ever had. We got a $60 special that included toasted ravioli, two salads and a crawfish shrimp crab meat linguine with a lava cake... DELICIOUS. the atmosphere was adorable too. we will be back!"
"Great prices and delicious down home cooking! Location is super accessible from Front st and from the back streets."
"I have lived in NOLA for 22 years and somehow never made it here until yesterday. What a mistake that was! The menu is huge, just about any Italian dish you could think of is on it. We started with the onion rings which may have been the best I have ever had. Crispy, not greasy at all, and so fresh tasting. The sauce that came with them was so delicious I wanted to eat it with a spoon! I had the plain fettuccine Alfredo as an entree, but there was nothing plain about it. Flavorful and rich, pasta perfectly Al dente. I did have to add a lot of pepper to it, but that is a personal preference, and they provide a pepper grinder at the table. My friend had his favorite which is the shrimp and crawfish pasta. The martinis we had were also great. Too full for dessert, but I hope to try it when I return!"
"We enjoyed our meal and the Jazz artist immensely! The pork chop I ordered was a perfectly cooked medium. The sauce was complimentary and I especially enjoyed the small potatoes and the roasted brussel sprouts were on target. People should really try roasted brussel sprouts if they were turned off at some point by the boiled preparations. We stared with the hot crab and toast and wife enjoyed the fettuccine alfredo and crab fried dumplings. All this accompanied by the beautiful song stylings by Ashley Orlando on the ukulele. Jazz on the ukulele, you must see here somewhere! A true artist."
"This is our favorite Greek restaurant! The service is always top notch! And then there is the food! Always soooo good! I love the chicken shawarma! The hummus is soGood! And of course, you can't go wrong with the shrimp tortellini! The friend cheese appetizer is always a hit! Go and enjoy!!"
"This is a delicious pie. The Large - with 8 giant slices- is so good. The cheese blend they use is so good. And the crust is chewy with to the edges nice and crispy. A really good, local, pizza shop."
"Small, fast ,professional , great food and hospitality. Clearly the neighborhood loves it."
"Amazing good and service. My favorite seafood restaurant on the Northshore. You must taste their spinach and artichoke dip with the bow tie pasta, to die for! Seafood made to perfection. A true New Orleans old style with new flair restaurant. I love it."
"Ordered for the first time via food delivery service, would definitely order again. The spaghetti is seasoned well. Only comes with one meatball but that meatball is packed with flavor. I throughly enjoyed my lunch!"
