"I wish I had a picture to include but their sandwiches were too good to wait to dive into. I've had the Salumi and the chicken sandwich now and both times they've come out fresh, hot, and absolutely amazing. The aoli they come with is to die for too, I could almost drink it straight. Love this place!"
"Previous reviews had me a little skeptical of the place. I had the BZ Homestyle burger on an onion bun with a side of chili cheese tater tots and small fountain drink. 1. BIG burger with cheese, grilled onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo. Very good, ginormous burger. 2. Tater tots with chili and cheese were good, just wanted more with the order. Lots of chili and cheese. 3. They have the good crushed ice with their drinks ( like Sonic). Good service, good burger, good prices, clean establishment. I will be back."
"My group booked a night cemetery tour and this was the meeting place. We arrived with plenty of time to spare, and since the tour is BYOB, our party decided to get a couple of dranks to bring and indulge in during the tour. It's brilliant, this kind of arrangement with the tour company: let them use your spot as a meeting place for guaranteed paying customers and make it easy for them to pick everyone up all in one place! And the reason for the 4 stars is that the service is way above par. Bartender was ready for the crowd that came through because there wasn't a lot of wait on anyone's drink orders. They even offered plastic cups for those who prefer it better than cans. (Unless it was already a cocktail...) If I was hungry, would have liked to have their grub. We were dropped off here post-tour and got more drinks to go. It was crowded, most likely because of the next tour group. Given the chance, would love to come back and just chill with drinks and apps. Good first run!"
"EDITED***Today 11-12-23 5:30pm SundayI had a very terrible experience. Food not fresh. Major attitudes . Maybe they had a bad day? Bad customers? But I am always super nice to them. But today? Every thing from driving up to the window, and telling me there were NO apple pies, I said, I would wait. I had already ordered with the app and paid for it and used 500 of my reward points. So instead of 2 apple pies, they refused to cook, they said a strawberry biscuit to replace. Well, they ONLY gave me one, and it looked like it sat there all day and was the last one. Two chicken sandwiches buns smashed crooked like it was slapped together or dropped? The actual chicken was not fresh and very dark greasy like and broken in pieces in several places. The red beans were DRY. No juice on it. Anyways, I really wished I never ordered at all. Please ladies, please do better. We the customers are YOUR PAYCHECKS. The ONLY reason the business exists, is because of CUSTOMERS. I know we all have bad days, but NEVER take it out on the customers. Especially when the customer was NICE even when you had an attitude."
"Love love love this place! They burned down a few months ago and were finally able to reopen. The food is just as good as it was before they were forced to close plus there's now more seating in the newly rebuilt restaurant. I love that I can get the fish and seafood platters grilled as I do not like fried seafood. The prices are reasonable. I just wish they had fountain drinks as I do not want to spend almost $3 to add a 20oz bottle of soda to my order."
"We stopped in on our way home from Florida for lunch & I'm so glad we did! Our burgers were delicious & the fresh cut fries are to die for. I got the sweet potato fries & I loved them."
"Great food great service. Larger portions. I got the shrimp bento box with fried rice. The rice was meh, I think it would've been better with plain rice or noodles. Definitely was enough for two meals (for me)."
"Curious about this current rating. My experience at this location was brief and great. I ordered two subs online on a Friday afternoon and chose this location based on their online rating (didn't check Yelp beforehand). When I arrived the bag was in the pickup area by the register. There was only one person in line so the employee paused, assisted me and then returned to that customer. I was in and out in less than five minutes and on my way. My sandwiches were good too. I'll definitely return."
"Every once in a while I end up on Da Bayou when I visit my girlfriend. Yeah I realize my lady friend lives a freaking gazillion miles away. (That was kind of intentional at 1st, who knew my ass could commit....sorry off track) When I visit her it seems like good food options are kind of hard to come by. Well now I know where to get an excellent po-boy! This place reminds me of the time I spent living in the Midwest where every town has a "dairy". A dairy is kind of like a Dairy Queen except they usually don't have much of a name, serve soft serve ice cream, slushies, some pork tenderloin sandwiches, burgers, vanilla cokes, and the such. The Chill Out has the look of one of those dairies and also that of a snowball stand on steriods. The serve snowballs, ice cream and a ton of different variations of sundaes and such. They all have a pretty extensive menu of po-boys, soups, something called a roast beef sundae(I'm told it involved roast beef, gravy and mashed potatoes.) hot tamales, and other things as well.I was quite surprised at the flavor of the roast beef po-boy. It was pretty much all roast beef debris and a really good gravy. That is the way I like it. I would put this po-boy up against some of the best in Nola. Yeah it's Parkway and Bear's good! I also like the fact that they include pickles when you ask fot it dressed. Very few places do that these days. Great little gem on Da Bayou. It's only take-out which seems to be it's only downfall."
"Yaaaaasss. Finally a store with Louisiana spicy crawfish!!!! My first visit here I came on a suggestion from an employee. I have had plenty of people Recommend spots that have "good ole spicy" crawfish, and I've been sadly let down. Baaaaaby!!!! This crawfish had me SWEATIN!!! This was like back yard summertime Deep South crawfish. It not just hot for heats sake. There is still plenty of flavor that comes they too. But believe me it's spicy!!!!"
"Fresh? Yes. Friendly staff? Yes. Clean facilities? Yes. Quick service? Yup yup and yup. As far as I'm concerned they meet my requirements for a five star revue. If your looking for a good quick bite, whether you dine in or order to go, you can't beat this. I've tried several sandwich styles here with different breads during the 'lunch hour' rush and have found the ingredients to be fresh and bread to be soft. Typically i'm greeted with a smile or a hello from someone behind the counter when I walk in. The handful of times I've dined in I find the tables to be clear of debris and trash. Plenty of on sight parking. Handicap accessible. Haven't had any issues and plan on returning again soon. Thanks for the good work. Keep it up."
"OK sooooooooooooooooo I'm not a chicken eater; as a result this review will be about the service on the 1st day of opening:Signs provided a countdown to the opening, I found this to be a plus, no need to stalk the building, you know. AnyWHO, on opening day, in the drive thru, I found the cashiers to be efficient, friendly (speaking to my 11month old niece), timely & swift in their transactions. I placed two separate food orders, one for my granny & my sister. Pricing was fair, you can get a whole meal & drink for less than $7; one of those 3 chicken fingers deals; that's cool, I've become so accustomed to $10+ for fast food meals until I was pleasantly surprised at this event. The lemonade is very tasty & since I only got a sip of my sister's, I vowed to return for my own. As stated, the drive thru line moved rather swiftly considering this was the 1st day; I was impressed. Only thing I would've liked to see was the store set a little more off the street because the drive thru line hung out into the street making passing as I exited a very difficult feat. Glad it's here in the area; adds to the community in many ways."

Stopped here for lunch on my break and almost died crossing street just kidding, but yeah get ready to run . I tried the pollo sandwich and it was sooooooo good. Spoke to the owner for a bit really friendly guy ..... Thank you for recommendations! Place was under remodel but don't let that stop you. Everything was so delicious.

Besides the long line during lunch, there is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place! Their spicy chicken dinner is so yummy and fresh. For a lighter choice they have the spicy grilled chicken salad, ask for the peppers fried!! I think their honey mustard dressing is even homemade!!

We stopped here to try the Dirty Po-Boy. This sandwich is huge and so easily shareable. We ordered it dressed: tomato, lettuce, pickles and mayo. You can omit any one of these ingredients. Some restaurants charge extra for this; this one did not.The larger size is approx. 14-16 inches long. It is served already cut in two. It is fresh French bread, stuffed full with roast beef and fried shrimp, plus the "dressing". It was enjoyably messy to eat. Our mistake was that we ordered a side of French fries. These were totally unnecessary as the sandwich is very filling.I was not thrilled that all of the tables were hi-tops, but since we were the only guests during the time of our visit there, there was no problem with managing on the hi table and chairs.

After a bit of a tough time navigating the area, we found Charlie's Seafood Restaurant on our way back from New Orleans. They are mostly drive thru and takeout, so we were the only dine in customers at that time of the day. The food that family and I ordered consisted of a crawfish poboy, a fried fish burger, a seafood platter, and a baked potato with chicken. The service was not egregiously long, but it took a lot longer than a lot of places serving the same type of food would. The crawfish poboy was a bit cold, but that's because there are a lot of other fresh ingredients on there like lettuce and tomato. The sandwich was very flavorful nonetheless. The people there are very nice, and the restaurant is very clean and neat. Overall, I'd recommend this place.

Small family place. Excellent burgers. Fresh onion rings and great prices. We happened across place on road trip back home from NOLA. Very worth a special trip on its own.

I've been eyeing this restaurant and waiting for them to open since I frequent this area for weekly grocery shopping. They FINALLY did a soft opening this week and I'm so excited to try them! I'm a sucker for teriyaki! Portion sizes are very promising. Walking in and it a bright open space with clear menu on the screen at the register. Tables to the left and the cooking station to the right. They offer a self serve area. You can also see the screen in the back where your order is! They have a list of additional sauces but I didn't get a photo of it. Can't wait to go back and try some of the rolls. The food was a bit bland but nothing a bit of soy sauce and sriracha can't fix. There was enough for the Mr. To take to work the next day too!

Don't go 30 minutes before they close. They empty their hot well out and you can't get chicken terriyaki or meatball sandwiches. They have the chicken in the cold table but it's too much work for them to heat it up in the microwave and put the sauce on it. The girl behind the counter literally slammed a knife down on the counter when she saw us walk in. And she must've run off the lady that came in behind us too because that woman was back in her car before we could pull off. Poor management at its best. The girl's attitude was beyond rude and customer service is clearly not #1 priority!

"This spot was a bit of a let down for me. It's ok - something to eat when there's not much else. The burger was good, but does not come with cheese. Didn't know this so if you want cheese remember to mention it. Heard the onion rings were outstanding, got some and definitely far from outstanding. A lot of them were burnt, and quite a bit seemed like the very outside of the onion (the part you should peel). Not battered too well, I'd say they have potential but I don't know. The fries are good, just like fries from any other place. The chicken wings/bites things are from hunt brothers pizza. They're good but you can tell they're just that frozen bagged kind like from the store. They were good though. I paid like $18 for all of that and it was quite a bit of food therefore can't complain about that for sure. You just walk in and up to the counter and order, and wait for your order to be called over the microphone. There's a bunch of seating around the place with many paintings on the walls, with 1 television as well. It's in a very bad location, leaving me as well as others I'm sure just passing by it. It's probably good for locals that don't want to go too far out the way to eat. If I'm being honest I'll probly never drop by here again as much as I don't like to admit it"
"I must submit, I believe I have a new favorite snowball stand in the Gentilly area. STOP JOCKIN!!! I do love the name... it's a little old school, but catchy. I pass this snowball stand all the time hopping onto the 610 interstate and when I wanted to stop in they were closed. But I see now, they have more consistent hours now. The food is good. Great price. Great taste. Snowballs are extraordinary. Great price. Excellent taste. The ice is so soft in your mouth. It just literally melts in your mouth. I saw a lady coming by for snowballs no syrup, that ice only... Proof positive that people like the ice here. The flavors are off the chain. I never had a dry snowball from here, sounds like an oxymoron, but it happens. They've always been succulent, moist, juicy and very flavorful. I've also had the pleasant opportunity to purchase food from this establishment. The food is processed really quickly, and as I stated previously, the taste is good. And I while I've not had everything on the menu, the things that I have had have all been tasty and fair in pricing. The cups are thick styrofoam, I never had to worry about puncturing the bottom of the snowball, nor did I have to worry about the sides being so flimsy that they broke once I grabbed these cups. I've been here more than a few times and I must admit the lines will form quickly, however the staff are quick with reducing the line and processing orders. I am unsure if this location stays open year-round, but as it stands now I plan to visit them daily until I find out otherwise."
"First day open, noticed people were lining the drive through as early as 10:15 =:0 The wife n I waited until after our errands and arrived at 11:20. We opted for dine in, as it didn't seem to be overflowing and customers were going in and coming out at a good pace. The pace was fast n furious to say the least. (Tip: study the online menu prior to visiting or stand to the outside of the line and have a look before entering the fast lane. ) The line moved rapidly, the servers are quick and kind. They don't rush you, offer for you to take your time, but truth is if you are indecisive, you are really being unfair to them as well as all the people in line behind you.Food was good, but I'm sure will get even better once things level out. The fried rice could use a bit more flavor... we had Kung Pao chicken, black angus pepper beef n broccoli, orange chicken with fried rice, spring rolls and two old fashioned cokes in hard bottles. I didn't notice the fountain drink machine before ordering, but that's ok. Total bill was $35.00 two plates full with plenty to bring home. The offerings are Bowl- one entree with fried rice or low mein, plate with same offer, or large plate with two entrees rice or noodles. Spring rolls/chicken egg rolls are 2 for $2. Again it was a good experience all around and a big Congratulations to the crew and managers for handling a monster crowd with a smile , speedy service and well mannered. Looks like several of the other Asian establishments have a decent competition, maybe price lowering in the future to be competitive... ;)"
"Better than chipotle. By far!!! This is probably the best fast Mexican around. So glad it's here since we moved from Birmingham! I was missing good burrito bowls."
"The egg rolls have a delectable sweet flavor to them. The honey chicken and general Tso chicken were both mouth watering good."
"Not a bad place for a big sangwich typical fast food joint but large portions staff is great and the drive thru doesn't stop flowing. Id eat here again."
"It is a good subway. They are staffed with a continuously friendly staff. They can and do handle a daily rush because they are across the street from the hospital. The location is always clean and well lit. The veggies here are fresh and plentiful. This is most likely due to the fact that this location will see a decent stream of traffic all day long due to the location. There is a big enough parking lot. The best thing about the location is that this isn't a parking lot that is trouble to find, enter, or exit. If you need a subway in New Orleans, this is one to depend on being consistent."
"Oh, the difficulty in reviewing a place like Subway, especially when it's the third, fourth, or fifth Subway I've reviewed. What makes this one stand out from the others? Location. Specifically that it's part of a strip with a gas station and a "casino". I haven't braved the casino yet, but one day I'll get the itch to gamble on my lunch break.Subway wise, this is a typical location. Service is good, neither stellar nor horrible. Food is exactly the same as other Subways (which is the point, really). I stop by because they have daily deals on subs and combos."
"First of all the employee didn't seem to understand me,but ok whatever.then it took 20 minutes to get a poorboy with no one else in front of us .the people behind use orders wings and she puts those down first taking her sweet time.ok I can let that go, then she starts on our 32' poorboy just taking her sweet time finally we get it ,I said thank you and no reply.so let's move on to the sandwich 18$ right you can't even see the roast beef on the poorboy..she didn't weigh anything and clearly didn't care if we got our money worth.4 thin pieces of roast beef on there !!!! I have never been so pissed...1 star is entirely to much...sad thing is I wish I had eaten some of it..but really it was just a Mayo and pickles poorboy..never again!!!"
"This place is sooo good! Really yummy shakes and malts and American food. The hot dogs with chili are cheese are also really good! My fiancé always gets the banana split. Definitely a cute hole in the wall worth checking out!"
"Sketchy lil gas station very close to the car rental return as we needed to filler up with gas before returning. Pump screen was difficult to see and couldn't get a receipt."
"This is a new location and it is still bright and shiny and clean. Even the men's room was decent! The staff were friendly and efficient and my sandwich was perfect. The hot chicken cheesesteak is fabulous and the portabello mushroom and Swiss is a unique treat you can't get anywhere else. Try them out - you'll never go back to a Subway again. The parking lot is a little tight but the whole Elmwood complex gets nutty at peak times."
"It's my fav wing spot! Don't argue with me! LOLWhen I want wings, this is my go to. Even though my drive is about 20 mins, my food is always still hot when I make it back home My boyfriend and I are creatures of habit so this is all we ever order plus a Ghetto Punch and Pineapple Punch! The Pineapple is for me! It's sweet FYI! We never wait long - about 10-15 minutes. All orders are made fresh!"
"This is what I get every time and I am never disappointed. I always get a foot long on white bread with ham American cheese. I also get pickles, cucumbers, black olives and mayo with that."
"Located right in the middle of the Lakeside food court, this was one of the cleaner looking places in the food court at dinner time on a weekday. I'm not sure what that says about the standards here, but it is a mall food court. The 3 people who were working actually smiled and were friendly, which is unusual, but good. Everything was clean. I was able to order quickly and was able to see them actually cooking the meat for the sandwich. In no time at all, I got fresh food and fries right out of the deep fryer. Amazing. This is not a 5 star restaurant, but for what it is, the service was good, the food was good, and I filled that hole in my stomach, and there were no issues after. Great job!"
"This location and the location on St. Charles St. is owned by the same owner. He use to have the meat product measured in card board trays. There was hardly enough meat to cover the bottom of the tray. For a short time after I posted my first review how skimpy this Subway is they started using the measuring ladles as the majority of Subways do. I went there on 1/12/2018 only to discover that they now give you a measured amount of meat using a scale. I was left with 2 1/2 inches of bread from a 6 inch sandwich. This was a great disappointment as I live a block away and I oven eat there when I am in my home town. I say that because I travel throughout the US all year and eat Subway 4-5 times a week and this location is horrible, the worst. I won't be posting any more because this was my last visit. Oh, almost forgot he also owns the Cajun Potato which if you have eaten there they also are very skimpy on the meat."
"I knew I shouldn't have got chicken from Popeyes!! I was eating my last piece of chicken and turned my dam chicken over and the bottom of my chicken was this This looks like chicken brains never again!! For the long dam wait, you would think this shit was cleaned properly!! Clean y'all dam chicken. People can get sick and maybe worst . Definitely never eating Popeyes chicken again !!"
"Tried their special : coconut curry (dark meat) fried chicken sandwhich. Best tasting fried chicken I remember having."
"I don't know about everyone else but I love love love French fries ! So when I got wind of the food truck I made sure to be at that location to try them! They use fresh cut fries daily and each order is made to order. You get to pick which meat( or you'd like a protein) a sauce and how ever much cheese you'd like on there. I tried the cheese fries with a drizzle of garlic sauce nothing to adventurous this go around. Next time I plan on going all in and getting shrimp and chicken. The fries smelled and tasted so good ! They give a very good size portion with each order. I would follow them on all social media to find out where they'll be on which days. The guy running the truck is extremely nice and very patient with his customers. I will surely be back for more."
"Awww man they've got something great over here. The Koran BBQ chicken sandwich is truly top tier deliciousness. Wasn't to crowded inside and the plexiglass around each booth, along with sanitizer and signs to wear a mask were great covid touches. Back to the sandwich it wasn't a large chicken sandwiches but sized pretty ok. Everything of course is a-la-cart I got the fries with the special Koran sauce. It tasted ok. I know this sandwich is probably a limited time offer so I will be going back soon to get another one!"
"Best chicken on the WB! I love this place, quick easy service and the staff is so kind. My go to for a quick but tasty pick up!"
"The famous Muffuletta sandwiches by Central Grocery (still closed next door) are pre-made and stocked here. When you walk into the store, there is a small sign directly ahead (facing towards you on the closest wood shelf) advertising the famous Muffulettas. The Muffuletta sandwiches are stocked in a small refrigerator behind the front counter so you must ask the clerk to purchase it. A half muffuletta (cut in two pieces) is $18. A whole muffuletta is $27 (cut in four pieces) and nearly the size of a small pizza. I suggest paying cash since Sidney's charges a small surcharge fee if you use a credit card. The muffuletta is very well packaged in its own plastic bag so you do not need any additional bag for carrying. The clerk was friendly to me.The muffulettas are equally delicious as I remember eating them inside Central Grocery's store next door."
"My Favorite place to eat in Donaldsonville. They really know how to fry their seafood! So far I've had their shrimp poboy, their huge shrimp burger, their shrimp salad, and the fried shrimp platter . They are all SOOOO good. The price is excellent and service is quick. You can't go wrong here!!!"
