Sadie E. "Francesca's by Katie's was excellent. We were immediately impressed by the freshness and quality of the food. You place your order at the counter upon walking in, find a seat, and shortly after, the food is brought to your table. We started with the fried okra, which was absolutely delightful--fresh, perfectly fried, and seasoned just right. It set the tone for what was to come. For our main courses, we tried the Margherita pizza and the Italian sub. The Margherita pizza was incredibly fresh with a perfect balance of tomato, mozzarella, and basil. The crust had just the right amount of crispiness. The Italian sub was equally impressive--fresh ingredients that made it an ideal choice for a hot summer day. Overall, Francesca's by Katie's is a must-visit if you're looking for great food and quick, friendly service. We'll definitely be back!"

Taylor T. "The food, sweets, and service are good here, but be warned the sandwiches are small for the price. I came here in a pinch. I assumed a $13 sandwich would be about 10" with trimmings. It's just regular bread and there's no pickle on the side. It's about 6" and pretty thin. However, the ingredients are good. The apps are good, especially the latkes, but they are also a little pricey for what you get. Overall, I only recommend eating here if you eat kosher and want specific foods or have more expendable income than me because the price is high."

Mike C. "DISCLAIMER: This review will be confusingly similar to my review of the Jason's deli on the West bank in Harvey, LA. After having recently tried Jason's Deli while in Memphis on business, and also having visited the location on the West bank in Harvey, LA, I was super stoked to find out that they just recently opened a store in Metairie, LA near the foot of Veterans Memorial Blvd. I haven't enjoyed a truly good salad bar since my Los Angeles days when I used to visit Soup Plantation on a regular basis. The opening of the conveniently located Metairie location saves me from fighting the traffic on the Crescent City Connection Bridge (over the Mississippi River). I'll reiterate that Uber-Yelper Marielle S. hit the nail on the head when she stated in her review that "it's like Panera Bread on steroids". The best part is that it's less expensive and has more food choices.Jason's has quite the extensive menu (see below):Soups: 10 offeringsPrepared salads: 6 offeringsGarden Fresh Salad Bar: 5 different protein offerings availableMuffalettas: Ham & salami or roasted turkeyPastas & Potatoes: 7 offeringsSpecialty sandwiches: 9 offeringsClub sandwiches: 3 offeringsPaninis: 3 offeringsWraps: 4 offeringsFamous favorites: 10 offerings to include their Pastrami, Reuben and Corned Beef.Kid's Menu: JD Pickle Meals (6 offerings) & Kidwich meals (5 offerings)Desserts: FREE ICE CREAMAccording to their website, "All good things start with wholesome ingredients", and when I walked up to the salad bar, I was immediately impressed with not only how fresh the ingredients looked, but also how clean the staff kept the the salad bar. Anyone who's frequented a salad bar knows how quickly messy people can mess up a salad bar. However, the staff at Jason's were constantly monitoring, cleaning and replenishing the salad bar while we ate, and they checked on our table frequently to see if we needed anything. Being so new, this location is in pristine condition; however, it seems that the staff is very mindful regarding cleanliness, and that's always a great thing for any restaurant. I've been to this location 6 or 7 times and everything is still great. Looking forward to going back again and again and again!"

Reagan T. "Filling Subs at Low College PricesAs I am going Vegetarian, I try to find fare that will suit my needs. Igna's off of Brightside is more than worthy. The shop is small and homely. Two people are usually working, barreling out orders. There are a dozen plus sub options to choose from including two vegetarian options with many other non-sandwich items as well. I have gotten the 14'' and 7'' Veggie Burger sub, respectively. The bun is delicious and toppings are generous. The burger itself is a bit underwhelming, but the rich amount of toppings to choose from make up for it."

We go the Royal platter, a shrimp plate, fried chicken sandwich, potato wedges, and two boudin balls all for only $44. The portions were large, everything tasted outstanding, and it was all made fresh. The seasoning was plentiful, but not too spicy or overpowering. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a hot sauce offering. Michigan could certainly use a Bradley's, but until that happens, my kids are already asking me to start making boudin at home!"

Teneha B. "What a sight for sore eyes; especially since I was riding on E (E for excitement)... more like fumes. I remember back in the day, aging myself, lol, this place used to serve really good quick hot food. Although, for the time that I'm speaking of, 15 years ago, I don't recall it being named Dolly's Deli, but i digress... On this day of my visit, I only purchased gas at the pump. The pump was antiquated, but all i really cared about was the gas inside and my ability to keep driving on this beautiful Saturday afternoon; shallow huh? But anyway, where was I, oh yeah the antiquation of the pump, yeah, it wasn't on the best side of the aesthetically pleasing, but it was modern as it accepted that insertion of the credit card for payment of gas. All in all, Dolly's Deli (although I didn't do any "deli-ing" on the day in question) was there when I needed it... phew, LIFE SAVER!!!!!!"

Mad A. "You do not get to Thibodaux, Louisiana by accident. You have to WANT to actually get there. And even then it may not necessarily be easy unless you pay attention to where the hell you are going. Especially if there is a bridge out somewheres and you gotta reroute the way you have to go.For the uninitiated Louisiana is a state. But I would also say it is a different country too. But that ain't a bad thing at all. Unless you end up on the wrong side of somebody you happen to piss off severely. This is not the case with your ole Yelp buddy Madman. Madman has friends and makes friends wherever he goes. Yes. Yes he does. Ya gotta be down with the peeps. You must talk with them, laugh with them, drink with them, and have sex with them too if this is what they want. Don't be a snob. Don't think you are better than anybody else. Everybody has got something they can teach to you. Including but not limited to sexual positions. ALAS! I digress! (I do that a lot). But every now and again you stumble upon an unexpected gem that is such a great find that it doesn't even look like a gem at all. It appears at first as a mirage. So..Louisiana is a state but also a different country. And within the country of Louisiana exists another country called Thibodaux. Stay with me here! Now inside of Thibodaux (inside of Louisiana) there is another country called the Jungle Casino which shares a border with another country called The Congo Lounge. These two countries share a DMZ known as Blakes Deli. You just can't make this shit up! Here you go: http://www.congolounge.net/Blakes deli is way the fuck better than Switzerland too (also where the Congo Lounge and the Jungle Casino are located. In case you ever wondered where the hell that actually was..NOW you know!) Technically it is located also in the Adventure Truck Plaza which I believe also has the same status as its own country like the Vatican or Malta. It is here in this magical land that I enjoyed one of the BEST damn oyster po boy sammiches I have ever had in my life. Right there in the fillin' station. Yes, sir! I did and it was better than many I have payed a lot more money to eat. Here is the menu: http://www.congolounge.net/blake_poboys.htmYep! That oyster poboy was LOADED with oysters. Cooked PERFECTLY. And they got shrimp, catfish, and roast beef poboy sammiches too. And great fried chicken and beer too. I realize I make this shit look easy sometimes. Doing these reviews. I hope you people who read this shit appreciate the fact that I often risk my own life to get this type of information to you. Andrew Zimmern is a joke. He should roll with me sometime. It would be fun to hear him whine like a girly man as he feared for his life. Adventurer my ass! You have not had an adventure until you have located, eaten, and made it out of the Adventure Truck Plaza. So if you haven't the just shut the hell up. No. Seriously. Shut the hell up. Especially in this place. Nobody gives a damn who you are so if you think you are somebody OR you actually are somebody..shut your mouth. Unless you are eating. NOTE: Drive thru frozen Daiquiris across the road. Yes it is legal. But not to drink them while driving. Again. SHUT UP! You ask too many questions. Get one. Don't get one. This is Thibodaux, LA. Shut your mouth and play along. Got it? Good."

My wife and I have eaten there 4 times, and the food was so hot, I had to wait for it to cool down or it would have burned my mouth. They literally make the sandwich in front of you so you should expect and get a very hot fresh sandwich. On all 4 visits our orders were correct. On all my visits I ordered the Philly cheese sandwich which is one of the best I've ever tasted; that's why I've ordered the same thing every time so far. My wife has ordered different sandwiches, and she's never had a complaint. Give them a try and decide for yourself."

I'm not sure if this was the manager but he explained the menu items that I had questions about and demoed how both would look. I like that the meat is freshly sliced and the ingredients are also fresh. I got a regular super sub and it was delicious. I ate half in the car which was more than enough for me. At first, I didn't care for the olive spread, but that changed quickly enough when I started to drink wine and realized that olives and wine are beautiful together, a perfect marriage. The service has always been fast because they know we are coming for that bomb, Muffuletta, which they remodeled after Katrina. I swear it looks a little more modern than it used to, but it still retains the old wood and the old ambiance.I have had many Muffuletta's over the years, but the original is and will always be THEE BEST from here by a local Charlie Andrews, aNew Orleans native Charlie Andrews shows how to make a New Orleans Muffuletta. This sandwich originated in New Orleans, but the bread called Muffuletta has its origins in Sicily. The sandwich consists of an 8-inch round Sicilian Sesame seed loaf layered with Olive salad. Meats like Salami, Ham, and Mortadella and cheeses like Provolone and Swiss are also added. This sandwich serves about 2 to 4 people, and it is delicious.
