On the brighter side, the side of fresh seasonal fruit was delightful and refreshing. My mother ordered the bananas foster French toast and absolutely loved it--rich, decadent, and perfectly executed.The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service. Our server was patient, attentive, and quick to refill drinks and check on us. His genuine kindness made the meal more enjoyable.As a wheelchair user, I always evaluate accessibility. Olive or Twist had a light, easy-to-open bathroom door and a spacious handicap stall, which was appreciated. However, the restroom's lack of cleanliness was a major disappointment. Stains, hair, and even mold on the toilet, along with dirty floors, made it unusable. This aspect needs immediate attention to ensure a comfortable and sanitary experience for all guests.Olive or Twist has potential with its inviting atmosphere, creative menu, and excellent service. However, the food could be more consistent, and the cleanliness of the facilities needs significant improvement. My mother enjoyed her meal, and while my experience was just "okay," the friendly service made it a bit better. With some adjustments, this restaurant could be a standout spot for brunch. For now, it's a place I'd revisit cautiously."

For happy hour, rolls under 10$ are 25% off so I was able to grab a crunchy roll (tempura shrimp) and a rajun Cajun (friend alligator) plus the drink for under $20. Can't beat that!Next time I would ask for the rajun Cajun without the sauce as imo the sauce was too sweet and didn't go well with the fried alligator. Other than that everything was great and I'll definitely be back!"

"What a terrific place! I really like the small dining room vibe with the cool bar at the end of the room. My girlfriend and I had a pair of really yummy cocktails followed by a truly delicious meal. I ordered the drunken noodles and enjoyed them very much. Our server was absolutely epic! She helped guide us into the entire meal. The only thing holding this back from being a five star review would be my impression of cleanliness. Not that this place is dirty but it's a little "worn" and our table top was a tad bit sticky. Usually that's a bad sign particularly in an Asian restaurant, but I'm glad we stuck it out and kept an open mind. We will definitely be back to try more items on the fascinating menu."

"We stopped here on the way to Florida since it's not far from I-10 and so happy we found it! Everything was delicious! The blueberry passion fruit cocktail is delicious and refreshing! The trout crawfish etoufee was great with bold flavor and the grilled shrimp was perfect! I didn't even use the butter sauce so saved calories and still enjoyed! The steamed veggies and green beans are delicious and came with good amounts! The service was friendly attentive and young! One side is called the patio but I think it's the bar side which had a good sounding vibe but since we were driving and in a hurry we didn't get to enjoy that side! The restaurant is ideal for a casual date or for a family with kids to eat in a big booth! Yes I recommend this place and will keep it on my list of places to stop off during my beach trips!"

Sausage made in-house was spicy and tasty. Salad was well dressed, fresh, and dressing was tangy. We also shared the Bianca (white pizza). Excellent crust, good chew, toppings made it salty and occasionally sweet. What a wonderful contrast!On our precious visit we thoroughly enjoyed the meatball appetizer (scrumptious!) and a pizza special. I don't recall what it was, only that we both enjoyed it. The pizzas are small, so you can share some of their great appetizers and the pizza. The dining g room is spacious and high ceiling, but can be a bit noisy due to the hard surfaces. I highly recommend Ancora. I can't wait to go back and try their crab gnocchi!"

"Since I was last at Sake, a few things have changed. The service was great, food still tasty, but the overall cleanliness is lackluster. I moved tables thinking that the huge stained white linen on the table was just at that table but nope, it's on all of them. I guess the restaurant doesn't deem them trash worthy. The beverage glasses seem smaller with ice filled to the rim. I would suggest renovating the restroom; the leaky faucet with a wash rag to collect run over water is a no no for the caliber this restaurant use to be. They get a pass because I'm sure the pandemic has a lot to do with the current conditions.The Sake parking lot is now public parking but Sake customers are comped."

Prices here are comparable to those in New York City, with a 15-24 dollar price range for most wines and cocktails. "Champagne sangria. Say no more. I lied. I'll say more. I swear BWG has become my #1 drinking destination and I don't even live in Mid-City (but I have considered moving walking distance). In warm weather, not hot, I like sitting outside. When it's very hot or too cold to sit out on the porch or by the fountain, I find myself sitting at the large, oval bar that takes up the majority of the main room before heading to the gardens that surround it. There are friendly regulars and just the kind of neighborhood bar that I can tolerate.Bayou Wine Garden is a magical place where you are amazed at the reasonable prices and the wine and cocktail selection, but also where you find that Champagne sangria is perfect no matter the weather outside.I still wish I could at least have a snack whilst on the sip. I implore you to at least offer up a plant-based app or two... nuts? Taralli? Chips?"

"I have lived in NOLA for 22 years and somehow never made it here until yesterday. What a mistake that was! The menu is huge, just about any Italian dish you could think of is on it. We started with the onion rings which may have been the best I have ever had. Crispy, not greasy at all, and so fresh tasting. The sauce that came with them was so delicious I wanted to eat it with a spoon! I had the plain fettuccine Alfredo as an entree, but there was nothing plain about it. Flavorful and rich, pasta perfectly Al dente. I did have to add a lot of pepper to it, but that is a personal preference, and they provide a pepper grinder at the table. My friend had his favorite which is the shrimp and crawfish pasta. The martinis we had were also great. Too full for dessert, but I hope to try it when I return!"

"For a bar and grill this place was pretty chill. The dining area was about half full with only a handful of patrons at the bar, we were told we arrived during the "calm before the storm". We opened the doors unsure if we should sit anywhere or wait to be seated but before we had a chance to pull out chairs for ourselves a young lady asked us how many in our party as she guided us to a nice little corner table big enough for me and my three kids. She had menus in hand and seemed to have our drinks back to us before I could open the cover. I wanted to try a variety and our server recommended the Half Shell Seafood platter. I decided to mix it up a little and opted for blackened catfish and shrimp, grilled oysters, and of course a deep fried crab cake and a deep fried stuffed shrimp. This platter also came with a side salad and a bowl of seafood gumbo. All of it was too shelf and tasted like it was made to order. For an appetizer I went with the crispy artichoke hearts and let me tell ya, that was the right choice! The artichokes came out first and I had never had any other than in a spinach dip, now I couldn't imagine having them any other way. The perfect combination of tart and robust with a crispy, crunchy coating, these little vegetable orgasms were sprinkled with fresh shredded Parmesan and paired perfectly with the house marinara sauce. The order was big enough for both me and my two kids, but I devoured the plate before they had a chance to eat more than just a few. Even the blooming onion takes a backseat to my new favorite app. When the Half Shell Platter arrived I was anxious to see what kind of shock my tastebuds were about to experience and I was surprised in the best way. The catfish was cooked to perfection with a blackened flavor you can't match at home. The shrimp too, perfectly cooked and seasoned with no trace of a rubbery bite or overpowering flavor. First time having oysters grilled and I've got to say raw will always reign supreme, but these were a close second. The rest of the plate was what you'd expect, predictable and delicious. Not the kind of hole in the wall establishment I was looking for, but exactly the kind of authenticity. The server kept the drinks full and the table clear. We had a next to nothing wait time and the food was a 10/10. Well deserving of a five star rating, if I'm ever back in Baton Rouge I'll be stopping in again."

"This is seriously a hidden gem! One of the longest HH is the city from 4-7 M-F and 2:30-7 SS! How can you go wrong when you are in the French quarter and need a snack?! The Cajun sliders are amazing, we also tried the crab and corn fritters-yum and the pommes daulphine (cheese smothered fries). Sadly the fancy cocktails are not on special, but wine, beer and basic drinks are $5. Honestly, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is classy and vintage and the bar is next to the courtyard so it's airy and light. I will definitely be back."
