"Service is always friendly and Joey K's is always Joey K's consistency is king here. The seafood is always hot and fresh. The staff always has a smile if it's 4 tables or 40 being served. They are a neighborhood spot through and through and where I always take visitors to city for that first bite or NOLA."
"Beautiful ambiance inside and outside. Great service and suggestions from our server for drinks and appetizers. Will come back again when I'm in NOLA."

"Olive or Twist is an industrially styled restaurant featuring repurposed wood accents and pendulum light fixtures, creating a cozy yet modern ambiance. The menu boasts brunch options and an extensive spirits list, catering to a variety of tastes. While the setting was promising, my experience was a mix of highs and lows.I ordered the BBQ shrimp and stone-ground grits. While the shrimp were well-seasoned and paired with a tangy sauce, the grits left something to be desired. I prefer my grits creamy and smooth, but these were just average. On the brighter side, the side of fresh seasonal fruit was delightful and refreshing. My mother ordered the bananas foster French toast and absolutely loved it--rich, decadent, and perfectly executed. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service. Our server was patient, attentive, and quick to refill drinks and check on us. His genuine kindness made the meal more enjoyable. As a wheelchair user, I always evaluate accessibility. Olive or Twist had a light, easy-to-open bathroom door and a spacious handicap stall, which was appreciated. However, the restroom's lack of cleanliness was a major disappointment. Stains, hair, and even mold on the toilet, along with dirty floors, made it unusable. This aspect needs immediate attention to ensure a comfortable and sanitary experience for all guests.Olive or Twist has potential with its inviting atmosphere, creative menu, and excellent service. However, the food could be more consistent, and the cleanliness of the facilities needs significant improvement. My mother enjoyed her meal, and while my experience was just "okay," the friendly service made it a bit better. With some adjustments, this restaurant could be a standout spot for brunch. For now, it's a place I'd revisit cautiously."
"Came here to catch happy hour (ends at 6)Got a lemon drop martini for $6. IIt was really good! For happy hour, rolls under 10$ are 25% off so I was able to grab a crunchy roll (tempura shrimp) and a rajun Cajun (friend alligator) plus the drink for under $20. Can't beat that!Next time I would ask for the rajun Cajun without the sauce as imo the sauce was too sweet and didn't go well with the fried alligator. Other than that everything was great and I'll definitely be back!"
"Really wish we had more time to have a full meal here. This place is modest on the outside with a nice set up. I tried the chopped salad earlier, which was very good. Take a break from the heat and come chill!"
"What a terrific place! I really like the small dining room vibe with the cool bar at the end of the room. My girlfriend and I had a pair of really yummy cocktails followed by a truly delicious meal. I ordered the drunken noodles and enjoyed them very much. Our server was absolutely epic! She helped guide us into the entire meal. The only thing holding this back from being a five star review would be my impression of cleanliness. Not that this place is dirty but it's a little "worn" and our table top was a tad bit sticky. Usually that's a bad sign particularly in an Asian restaurant, but I'm glad we stuck it out and kept an open mind. We will definitely be back to try more items on the fascinating menu."
"Best food we had in New Orleans. Accommodating to allergies. Places to hide away from the bustle and noise."
"Love this spot. Food is always delicious and so are the cocktails. My friends and I regularly schedule our "ladies night" here."
"We hosted a professional social event at Baroness on 11/23/24 and it was OUTSTANDING from top to bottom. The venue was very accommodating and welcoming, the food was excellent, and they created signature drinks that were delicious! The arrangement of the space in different rooms also created great opportunities for conversation. Next time we're in NOLA, we will definitely book Baroness for our event."
"We stopped here on the way to Florida since it's not far from I-10 and so happy we found it! Everything was delicious! The blueberry passion fruit cocktail is delicious and refreshing! The trout crawfish etoufee was great with bold flavor and the grilled shrimp was perfect! I didn't even use the butter sauce so saved calories and still enjoyed! The steamed veggies and green beans are delicious and came with good amounts! The service was friendly attentive and young! One side is called the patio but I think it's the bar side which had a good sounding vibe but since we were driving and in a hurry we didn't get to enjoy that side! The restaurant is ideal for a casual date or for a family with kids to eat in a big booth! Yes I recommend this place and will keep it on my list of places to stop off during my beach trips!"
"My favorite location for sure. The bartenders know what they're doing, and the food is always fresh. This location is also family friendly with an outdoor seating area with faux grass and shaded tables. The staff is always friendly and ready to serve. Check it out if you haven't already."
"Met some friends here on a hot summer Sunday and it was a cool vibe. Luckily it was not too crowded. I've been on other days where it was a much larger crowd and almost shoulder to shoulder and that's no fun! My bartender was Abe and his service and bartending skills are top notch!"

Joey K's is sort of the neighborhood restaurant for those of us who live in the Garden District. It's homey, has down home New Orleans food and is a great place to go for a casual lunch. The blackberry cobbler is to die for. The appetizers are big enough to eat as an entree. Great onion rings, seafood, pasta, too. They don't take reservations but have accommodated my large extended family if we call ahead and go early. I recommend it to anyone coming to shop Magazine Street.

It's a great place to sit down and have drinks, but no matter what time of day, they are out of half of what is on their menu.

After the parade this weekend we decided to walk over to Domenica. I have been to the downtown location multiple times, but this was my first time eating at the uptown location. The pizza is amazing a hit, so I went with the pepperoni pizza. However, I saw they had king cakes knots on their dessert menu. Mardi Gras season so I had to try them, and I'm so happy I did! They came out hot, they were the perfect ratio of crispy ends and soft center! . The icing on time gave it the that sweetness. Had leftovers and ate them with coffee this morning. Go for the great pizza, and make sure to get the dessert!

I really like the decor inside, it's very relaxing and tropical. We were seated quickly as well. Not pictured are the shrimp tempura rolls. I really liked those. The fries chicken was really good while I liked both I prefer the plain instead of the tossed. The rice was okay it helped balance the heat.

Food was great and the service was excellent!!! I left a package hanging on the hook under the bar I'm hoping i will be able to retrieve it today. It was gifts for the grandkids. It will be a good excuse to try more of the food and drink offerings.

I was here 7 years ago. My Facebook Memories brought me back. Hopefully better late than never to update. I was traveling alone and stopped by. Staff was attentive. Vibe was cool. Staff absolutely paired wine with the cheese I selected. It was delicious and relaxing!

"Service was good. Food was decent . A bit messy for me. Bun was sweet like Hawaiian bread. We sat in an odd booth. Wasn't particularly comfortable. it wasn't busy yet we got put in a corner type booth with a post in the way, what an odd seating arrangement."
"Excellent food and service. This was our second visit to Ancora and will surely not be my last. My wife and I had the Calabrian sausage reponata and house salad contorini (starters). Sausage made in-house was spicy and tasty. Salad was well dressed, fresh, and dressing was tangy. We also shared the Bianca (white pizza). Excellent crust, good chew, toppings made it salty and occasionally sweet. What a wonderful contrast! On our precious visit we thoroughly enjoyed the meatball appetizer (scrumptious!) and a pizza special. I don't recall what it was, only that we both enjoyed it. The pizzas are small, so you can share some of their great appetizers and the pizza. The dining g room is spacious and high ceiling, but can be a bit noisy due to the hard surfaces. I highly recommend Ancora. I can't wait to go back and try their crab gnocchi!"
"Since I was last at Sake, a few things have changed. The service was great, food still tasty, but the overall cleanliness is lackluster. I moved tables thinking that the huge stained white linen on the table was just at that table but nope, it's on all of them. I guess the restaurant doesn't deem them trash worthy. The beverage glasses seem smaller with ice filled to the rim. I would suggest renovating the restroom; the leaky faucet with a wash rag to collect run over water is a no no for the caliber this restaurant use to be. They get a pass because I'm sure the pandemic has a lot to do with the current conditions. The Sake parking lot is now public parking but Sake customers are comped."
"First time trying Spoke and Barrel, wonderful atmosphere. Clean comfy seating. Friendly staff. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something different. Pet friendly patio."
"From a purely aesthetics point of view, Peacock Room is perfection with its namesake vivid dark blue walls and velvet settees, gold and copper accents, gilded cages and fringed lamps. I just want to curl up with some bubbles and a book and never leave.I probably couldn't afford to do that, though. Prices here are comparable to those in New York City, with a 15-24 dollar price range for most wines and cocktails. And I might be a little hungry because it appears that hummus and vegetables might be the only vegan option. That said, oh, the sumptuous surroundings beckon and I'll be back."
"We love this place! We ordered the margaritas of course & they were awesome. The flautas & super burrito were amazing. They do not serve anything that doesn't taste amazing. The service was just as great. Becky at the bar gave excellent service. We will definitely be back often. I highly recommend this place."
"Definitely my go to spot for birria tacos they are full of flavor, cheesy and the consume is delicious. I love their inside dining area so cute picture worthy; however, this time I went through the drive through. The service was fast and my food as still hot after getting home. Also decided to get a frozen strawberry margarita. Delicious and definitely not weak!"
"Came back here for my 2nd time (after the 1st many years ago) for a K9 Rouge Rescue event and was impressed with everything! The staff was so helpful for us setting up space for the pups, the food was delicious, and the setting is just precious (as it was the first time I went). My favorite find was probably the fruit-infused lemonades! I couldn't get enough!! I hope next time I come they offer alligator corndogs again as I was really hoping to try that out. All good though as they have so many options, and no doubt they're all delicious!"
"Champagne sangria. Say no more. I lied. I'll say more. I swear BWG has become my #1 drinking destination and I don't even live in Mid-City (but I have considered moving walking distance). In warm weather, not hot, I like sitting outside. When it's very hot or too cold to sit out on the porch or by the fountain, I find myself sitting at the large, oval bar that takes up the majority of the main room before heading to the gardens that surround it. There are friendly regulars and just the kind of neighborhood bar that I can tolerate.Bayou Wine Garden is a magical place where you are amazed at the reasonable prices and the wine and cocktail selection, but also where you find that Champagne sangria is perfect no matter the weather outside.I still wish I could at least have a snack whilst on the sip. I implore you to at least offer up a plant-based app or two... nuts? Taralli? Chips?"
"Attending Halloween happy hour at the Pamploma for the Nightmare Pop-Up! Here with friends. The food is amazing, the service is quick, and the drinks are spooktacular with a spooky Halloween ambiance"
"First visit food was really good and fresh! 1 little issue (waitress forgot my food order) so hubby got a salad and had to wait for my tuna wrap, was delicious. I only took a pic of the fried cauliflower We did have to add seasoning to all of the dishes but I don't hold that against them!"
"me and my lover went to dinner here for our Valentine's Day and it was immaculate. Food was extremely fast--fastest service I've ever had. We got a $60 special that included toasted ravioli, two salads and a crawfish shrimp crab meat linguine with a lava cake... DELICIOUS. the atmosphere was adorable too. we will be back!"
"I have lived in NOLA for 22 years and somehow never made it here until yesterday. What a mistake that was! The menu is huge, just about any Italian dish you could think of is on it. We started with the onion rings which may have been the best I have ever had. Crispy, not greasy at all, and so fresh tasting. The sauce that came with them was so delicious I wanted to eat it with a spoon! I had the plain fettuccine Alfredo as an entree, but there was nothing plain about it. Flavorful and rich, pasta perfectly Al dente. I did have to add a lot of pepper to it, but that is a personal preference, and they provide a pepper grinder at the table. My friend had his favorite which is the shrimp and crawfish pasta. The martinis we had were also great. Too full for dessert, but I hope to try it when I return!"
"The prices don't match the quality of the food. It's mid. Had crab legs and they weren't cleaned and they were just super bland. We also had an oyster poboy and they didn't do multiple things we requested, so that was so-so, but the oysters were good. I just don't think the prices justify the quality of the food. Even the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. Service was great in the beginning, but once the restaurant filled up, we were forgotten about."
"My sister and I walked in & immediately was freezing, so we decided to sit outside. Well it was cold there too, but the owners came to put the heaters on.... but then they were out of propane!! Y'all why did the boss go to the gas stations to purchase propane for us to use the heaters!!!! That was EXTREMELY kind!! Food 10/10 and our server was just great as well.We will definitely be back!!"
"Great food and ambience!! This is a cute and cozy spot with a modern flare! The food is amazing and the service is great!! I've had wonderful experiences each time I've visited. I highly recommend checking this place out!"

"This place is adorable and perfect for a private party or fundraiser. My first visit was to attend a friend's all white themed celebration which was held in the private room upstairs. Loved the layout which includes several couches and a bar area with seating. The liquor package was confusing in that, I ordered a rum punch with no specific rum type and was charged for an Appleton Rum upgrade. Idk what is different about Appleton and didn't ask for it. ***shrugs .... The drink itself was $9.75 but items like Tito's & a few other items chosen by the host were free. From what I can tell, you're allowed to bring in food and select entertainment."
"Why would you eat redfish anywhere else?? Don't. The redfish dish here is so perfectly prepared that it makes me annoyed with myself when I order it anywhere else.Beyond the food, this lovely restaurant located inside Renaissance Baton Rouge has lovely bartending staff with a shoutout to Shawna and Damon who will make you feel appreciated and right at home."
"For a bar and grill this place was pretty chill. The dining area was about half full with only a handful of patrons at the bar, we were told we arrived during the "calm before the storm". We opened the doors unsure if we should sit anywhere or wait to be seated but before we had a chance to pull out chairs for ourselves a young lady asked us how many in our party as she guided us to a nice little corner table big enough for me and my three kids. She had menus in hand and seemed to have our drinks back to us before I could open the cover. I wanted to try a variety and our server recommended the Half Shell Seafood platter. I decided to mix it up a little and opted for blackened catfish and shrimp, grilled oysters, and of course a deep fried crab cake and a deep fried stuffed shrimp. This platter also came with a side salad and a bowl of seafood gumbo. All of it was too shelf and tasted like it was made to order. For an appetizer I went with the crispy artichoke hearts and let me tell ya, that was the right choice! The artichokes came out first and I had never had any other than in a spinach dip, now I couldn't imagine having them any other way. The perfect combination of tart and robust with a crispy, crunchy coating, these little vegetable orgasms were sprinkled with fresh shredded Parmesan and paired perfectly with the house marinara sauce. The order was big enough for both me and my two kids, but I devoured the plate before they had a chance to eat more than just a few. Even the blooming onion takes a backseat to my new favorite app. When the Half Shell Platter arrived I was anxious to see what kind of shock my tastebuds were about to experience and I was surprised in the best way. The catfish was cooked to perfection with a blackened flavor you can't match at home. The shrimp too, perfectly cooked and seasoned with no trace of a rubbery bite or overpowering flavor. First time having oysters grilled and I've got to say raw will always reign supreme, but these were a close second. The rest of the plate was what you'd expect, predictable and delicious. Not the kind of hole in the wall establishment I was looking for, but exactly the kind of authenticity. The server kept the drinks full and the table clear. We had a next to nothing wait time and the food was a 10/10. Well deserving of a five star rating, if I'm ever back in Baton Rouge I'll be stopping in again."
"Food was good, but $4.50 for iced tea and fountain drinks is absolutely ridiculous. You should be ashamed, Pedro!"
"Came to New Orleans with some ghost hunting friends and we found the most amazing and historic bar on Bourbon Street. It had everything you would want in a bar , including live music, a back patio, with a giant skeleton, and the most delicious hotdogs that are made out of burnt ends. Look out Guy F, Krissy K The Ghost Wryder Got to it first! We even got a drink and a take-home mug for $5.You can't get that anywhere in New Orleans , except here. if you want just a bit of lunch and a drink in the afternoon before you head out to find all the Spooky spots, this is the place to be in NOLA.The Hideout! Super Good all around!"
"This is seriously a hidden gem! One of the longest HH is the city from 4-7 M-F and 2:30-7 SS! How can you go wrong when you are in the French quarter and need a snack?! The Cajun sliders are amazing, we also tried the crab and corn fritters-yum and the pommes daulphine (cheese smothered fries). Sadly the fancy cocktails are not on special, but wine, beer and basic drinks are $5. Honestly, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is classy and vintage and the bar is next to the courtyard so it's airy and light. I will definitely be back."
