"One word Delish!! I live here but it took my company from California to find this spot. Get the shrimp. Oh so good"
"A friend suggested this place as a stop off for dinner after a late flight in. Great selection. It has a quirky vibe along with modern technology (like kiosk ordering). Nice daiquiris and excellent poboys. As for the specifics on the roast beef poboy, plenty of tasty roast beef, but it could have used more gravy. That's was the only thing I could suggest to improve the sandwich. They have a literacy campaign they highly publicize inside. Nice community involvement there. Now, add the laundromat inside, and you have to admit it's a truly unique business. The dining side has a patio as well as inside seating, so depending on the weather you can make yourself as comfy as you like."

"Great neighborhood bar with great food, reasonable drink prices, fun people, and a place in history. If you've never been, GO."
"Late night cravings? Satisfied. Quality of food? Very, very good. Deep fried and delicious? Check!"
"We craved wings but wanted local flair and not wings from a chain restaurant. J's Creole fit the bill and it was nearby while vacationing in NOLA. Created from shipping containers, the space is uniquely colorful and cute. The indoor dining space is really limited but they have a small covered outdoor patio. We lunched on the patio. It was calm and serene despite being near a major expressway. The wings had ample meat with marvelous flavor. I ordered a set of 8 wings with choice of 2 seasonings (Creole and Garlic Parmesan) with fries. My husband ordered boneless wings with creole and honey heat. Creole seasoning was a little sweet and unexpected however it was interesting to try. J's fruit punch was refreshing as it has a hint of pineapple. Glad we were able to try this spot. They have good food with good prices. They don't have a dedicated parking lot but spots are easy to find during weekdays on the street."
"Cool place to eat, good service. Got a burger and chill cheese fries and checked out the game."
"What can I say! McHardy's did it right as always. Ordered for work lunch about an hour and a half or so before trying to pick up. 60 pieces with a dozen or so bread and a couple of sides. I was a little early but the food was boxed and being escorted to my car. After telling them I needed the order split since they were going to two different offices, McHardys totally accommodated. They happily Placed some chicken with the rolls in one bag! So unfortunately, I didn't get to taste the chicken but been receiving texts from our entire cemetery and inscription crew saying it was delicious. which I already know this!! Thanks for making our crew happy - will be back!"
"We had just made it into town..... it had been a long day so we decided to door dash. The food arrived quickly. It was very tasty and well plated especially for a ride across town to the hotel! He got the K town Fries and I got the Loco Moco. I wish there had been some black pepper with the utensils for the gravy but honestly the mix in mine of the egg spam and meat was fantastic alone I just really like a little more spice. Also got the wontons which were fabulous!"
"Bourree is our go to for wing takeout and they never disappoint. The wings are so fresh and flavorful as are the fries. All of their sauces are delicious. Make sure you ask for the ranch too!Love the fries as well although they are expensive and come in small portions. It's a little pricey for what they give you but they definitely care about the quality of their ingredients."
"Tried Chubbie's at the Beignet Fest over the past weekend (16 November 2024) and thoroughly enjoyed!! We ordered chicken tenders, fries, and the dirty rice - delicious! The chicken was perfect - crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside - the dirty rice and fries were seasoned to perfection!! Can't wait to order again!!"
"The service was great to everybody was friendly. This is a wonderful little hole in the wall southern pride, chicken place to eat my husband has never been to Louisiana so we asked around to a couple locals for the best style chicken that was Louisiana flavor. And this is the place that we were recommended. .Now the food that we had, the chicken had amazing flavor and the outer shoveled the chicken was amazing. I'm not one who likes coleslaw and their coleslaw was wonderful. I had the right amount of sweetness and tartness. And we also had mashed potatoes and those were good."
"This is one of the more popular bars in Metairie. Usually 2-3 bartenders working at night. We usually come here once or twice a month after work as I work a few miles down the street. Food is good (we usually get a steak). Bartenders are usually busy and sometimes can take ahwile to get service. Swamp Room is still Swamp Room (popular, fun atmosphere, good food)."

Welcome to a temple where the gods of flavor gather to bless your taste buds with something extraordinary. It's like that one friend who shows up at the party and immediately makes everyone wonder why they haven't been hanging out together all along. Crack Fries; is there some illegal substance hidden in there? Nope, it's just pure magic that's impossible to stop eating. Seriously, I think I blacked out after my first bite and woke up with an empty basket and a new addiction. It's like your favorite cozy sweater had a baby with a gourmet meal, and they decided to run off to Paris and live happily ever after. I had a spiritual moment thinking, "Am I even worthy of this?" The short ribs will more than meat your expectations, and holy shrimp...like biting into a little ocean of flavor; p sure this is what the Founding Fathers meant when they said "pursuit of happiness." Banh Mi Boys has completely redefined what it means to eat food.

Me & my husband had Melbas after a late night ghost tour, and we came across it and decided to try it out. It was busy, (Late Saturday night) but we didn't mind the wait. I ordered Bourbon chicken on rice with a side of jambalaya. My husband had the ribs with Mac & cheese. They both come with a corn bread. And we had a side order of their hot sausage and tots. We were sooo satisfied with everything! Very filling at a great price point. The place itself has a lot of beautiful character. The flavors of everything was amazinggg! Corn bread was perfect. It just tasted as delicious as it looks! 10/10 recommend!

We loved the food here. You order at the counter (or order ahead) and it's ready in a jiffy. I got shrimp tossed in Korean bbq and it was soooo good. My husband got wings with a lemon pepper sauce and he devoured them. We got a 32 oz Hurricane to share and it was ok- the food was a lot better than the drink. The seasoned fries were perfect, especially to soak up the extra sauce. Lots of autographed jerseys hung on the walls, and a cool mural, plus tvs to watch sports and a photo wall.

The food was so good. We dined in. I had the lemon pepper wings classic and enjoyed it. I plan to go again when in town. The garbage fries are the bomb as well.

This came highly recommended by a local. It did not disappoint. The fried chicken and accompanying sauces were finger licking good. I also loved the red beans and rice and the french fries. We understand this is a favorite take out spot for a picnic at City Park. This is strictly a take out joint, but the service is friendly and your food will come out piping hot.

"I've passed by this place and never thought to stop by until I ran across a story on IG about the owners. I'm always down to support a black owned business so, I made sure to stop by while in town for the July 4th holiday.Man! I have been missing out on some good food!! I ordered the fish sliders and they were delicious!! Next time I'm trying them fully loaded. The restaurant definitely reminds me of wing joints here in Atlanta. Good vibes, drinks and food!"
"I waited to post this review because I needed to see how the pizza help up during a reheat the next day and boy was I satisfied. I enjoyed the hot sausage pizza (hot sausage, green peppers, red onions) which was highly recommended by a neighbor friend. Now don't be surprised at their pricing. This isn't dominos or pizza corporate chain where you can get a $10 or less pizza. I spent $27 including tip for the large pizza. However it lasted me 3 days (one dinner and two lunches). The service was great. They answered all my questions and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving. The inside is diner styled but there's plenty of booths if you want to eat inside. Next time I will try the wings which also come highly recommended. And I may throw some shredded lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and a bit of Japanese Mayo atop my pizza and remix it into a hot sausage "poboy" pizza."
"Favela is one of the numerous venues on Frenchmen St where you can hear live music. This is a must-stop if you are in the area.If you are a beer drinker the beers are relatively inexpensive any mixed drink beyond well is expensive. This is true everywhere in the area.We visited twice and the bands were much different, which is cool. One night there was an upbeat jazz band with a great frontman. The band on our next visit was an instrumental jazz band that just killed it.I imagine later in the evening it's standing room only but we had no problem getting a table, on both visits. As others have mentioned the single bathroom can get a tad sporty as the night progresses. What is cool about Frenchmen St is that you can stand outside listen to the band and decide if it's your scene.Favela Chic is our scene!"
"Hot, juicy and fast. Be careful super hot because it's fresh and delicious. If I'm ever here again, I'm eating there. Now the people next to us that bought a daiquiri, both day it's on the weak side."
"I've known that this was my niece's favorite spot to get seasonal eggnog daiquiris so I decided to stop in and try some of their standard flavors for myself. And yes they do have a drive thru!I wandered in and was impressed with the amount of seating and there seemed to be several groups who were having their regular Saturday evening meetup in the shop. There is a pool table and the decent looking menu plus the space is no smoking... although there are tables outside for the smokers.I ordered 2 daiquiris to go, a chocolate strawberry and a mango pina colada. The server was great and friendly. Both daiquiris were yummy and they were inexpensive! Definitely stopping in again!"
"Best fried chicken in town! My parents grew up in Gentilly eating this chicken and I work across the street and can validate is still just as good as it was 40 years ago"
"I ordered a pizza through door dash and it came so fast and so hot I didn't know I couldn't get quantity food at 1 am in Metairie until now."
"Thursday night is the night to go here for the specials. It is meatball and pasta night as well as chicken parmigiana night. The meatballs are massive and boy are they tasty. The red sauce is sweet and compliments the meatballs very well. The chicken parm is 2 huge pieces of paneed chicken breast covered in mozzarella on top of the same sweet red sauce and pasta. You will most likely leave with a box because the portion is huge. Get there early though because they do sell out. If all else fails, their fried chicken is still amazing."
"So amazing!! The food here is top tier. And the new location is Metairie has really cool interior decor. I'm on a mission to try everything on the menu. So far nothing has disappointed. In my opinion they have the best espresso martini in the New Orleans area. They make theirs with Ube. It's so good!!"
"this place never disappoints and I highly recommend if you're in the mood for fried chicken. I got the fried wings, a fried turkey wing, potato logs and a fried thigh. all were flavorful, crispy and delicious."
"There's a reason New Orleans is the greatest city in the universe. Getting a steak of this quality, at 10 pm New Years day is just solid as it gets. And I the home style mashed potatoes were on point Tons of TVs to watch your game of choice, and a pool tables to boot. Retro hip hop playing, and phenomenal service. I'll be back"
"The wings were good --crispy, flavorful, and with a variet. Each bite was a treat! However, the service was quite slow. It took a while for our order to arrive, which was a bit frustrating. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and had great attitudes, which helped make the wait more bearable. If you have some time and patience, the wings are definitely worth it!"
"Love this place , great food , great service , Bar area and a few outdoor tables for some fresh air"
"This place is pretty legit. I kept seeing this place on my Facebook and it's down the street from me so I decided what's to lose. The menu has some legit Mexican food and the basics you will find at most other places so something for everyone. The drink menu has pictures of everything they offer and also a good selection listed there. This place was really reasonable. With drinks me and my mom were able to dine for less than 50 bucks including tips and we got drinks so that's not bad. They also have specials on Tuesdays and Wednesday's and possibly Thursday but I might have misread. The fajitas come full of meat and vegetables. For the price point you get a lot and you will not leave here hungry. It was also so good I forgot to take a picture. And I love taking pictures of my food lol."
"This food is fire! I arrived in town with my family of 12 late night and we were in the need of some amazing wings on our first night. We called in a large order and the manager took great care of us. Upon arrival, everything was well prepared and boxed for us. Don't hesitate, just order and you'll be satisfied!"
"Always was happy with the old location but had to stop in for this new location. WOW, this change has made a awesome improvement. The food was excellent and much better then the old spot. Staff was attentive and always checking in. The environment has been setup perfectly."
"We decided to try this place on. Saturday. It was a chilly day and ramen was what we needed! The restaurant was very nice, clean and decorated beautifully. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. We got Thai tea to drink. It was good, I prefer mine a little sweeter but it was still tasty! Appetizers were Karrage and Takoyaki. The karrage was so good! Crispy chicken and so flavorful. I don't eat takoyaki but my boyfriend said it was delicious! Our entrees were the hibachi chicken dinner and the Fuji ramen. I had the hibachi and it was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so good. It came with noodles, rice, and vegetables. All were very good. My boyfriend said the ramen was very good. Very flavorful broth and good heat to it! We finished out with the deep fried cheesecake. It was very good. Warm and gooey in some spots and cold in others. I actually found that complimented it. Overall the food was just delicious and warm and comforting!!! We were well taken care of too. Everything came out quick! If you haven't tried this place, go today!!!"
"Finally got to try this new wing spot in Baton Rouge this past weekend. I went there on a Friday evening and they weren't super busy which was nice. The cashier was very nice and helpful; always a plus. I got the 10 piece with 2 flavors; valley BBQ and lemon pepper. Now I'm very particular when it comes to my wings. I would definitely recommend them. The sauces were flavorful but not overpowering. I did wish they marinated the wings in the flavor as I couldn't taste any flavor once I bit in. The portion sizes and prices were good also. Good job Valley wings!"
"We came here tonight for a late night bite and it was somewhat busy. We got two sausage egg cheese sandwiches on toast, pancakes with grits, biscuit, and chicken wings, and pancakes with grits and eggs. We ordered there and waited about 45 minutes until our food came out. The food was phenomenal! I was especially impressed with the buttery biscuit, moist pancakes, and flavorful eggs. The chicken wings were also really good and better than a lot of the chicken wings I've tried. Service was alright.Best way to eat food here is probably order an hour ahead so you get your food right away. Otherwise you'd wait awhile, but the food was definitely worth the wait!"
"Meh.I was excited to try this place, but probably won't be back. I'm a huge fan of boneless wings (yes, I know they're just chicken nuggets with sauce on them), but some places do them very well. This place, not so much. The quality of the chicken was definitely sub-par. Someone mentioned that they just use pre-cooked Tyson nuggets, which I wouldn't doubt after eating them! Some of them were gross pieces that were un-edible. The sauces were ok. The buffalo sauce tasted good. The garlic Parmesan was just some Parmesan cheese and what I think was butter? Not very good. The prices were reasonable, but the low price makes sense paired with the low quality. Even their ranch dressing dipping sauce was some sort of store bought brand. Altogether, I was quite disappointed."
"This review doesn't need to be long or difficult at all because what the Blue Store is known for is quite simple: Their fried chicken. I live in FL now but all of my friends absolutely RAVE about this place so on a recent trip home, I had to ensure I made my first appearance. Well, they did not let me down. Everything I heard was true and then some. I read someone else's review who stated that this chicken rivals Chicken Shack as having the best chicken in town. I would have to agree with the caveat that they're two different types. Blue Store has that traditional, lightly crispy, golden brown fried fowl while Chicken Shack has a thicker and crunchier batter-dipped fried bird. Y'all can debate on who's better........I'll just hit up both when I'm yearning for some poultry."
"It's my fav wing spot! Don't argue with me! LOLWhen I want wings, this is my go to. Even though my drive is about 20 mins, my food is always still hot when I make it back home My boyfriend and I are creatures of habit so this is all we ever order plus a Ghetto Punch and Pineapple Punch! The Pineapple is for me! It's sweet FYI! We never wait long - about 10-15 minutes. All orders are made fresh!"
"Best wings in Lafayette, great service. Will absolutely return and recommend them to others"
