Lina L. "Visiting my cousin in the area, she suggested we eat from here, one of her spots she likes to go to. We ordered for pick up so we could eat and hang out at her house; so I don't really know how it is inside the actual restaurant. The person over the phone was nice and helpful though, and patient as it was my first time ordering from there. We got the blackened chicken and andouille Alfredo, it came with garlic bread, and was really good. My husband also liked it. I would love to try more menu items when we come back for another visit."

Brenda L. "The service here was very excellent. The waitress was very attentive. And much like all buffets. This one has its good points and not so good points. My biggest complaint was the lack of hot food . Most of it was lukewarm, if not slightly cold. I don't understand that at all. Yuk ."

Ronald L. "I went on the weekend and order off the menu. It was good. The food was fresh and well prepared. The owner was working the place and we talked a good bit. Found out a lot of the food on the menu comes from Thailand. Went back a couple of days later and tried the buffet. It was ok. And had a great selection of food. I'm just not a big fan of buffets"

Paul N. "Fast, fresh and delicious Chinese food! Mom and pop establishment. Got to try the pepper steak and shrimp & broccoli. Just classic fast Chinese staples. Plenty of seating. Seems most orders are take out. Food was served piping hot!"

Luis C. "Well, I was extremely hungry, and since I happened to be in Lafayette decided to check out one of the Asian Buffets. I saw that this one is completely brand new, considering that its pictures were only posted a few days ago, and didn't have any yelp reviews. Also, the pictures looked like it was a clean place. It is in fact a very clean place, a family run business, and as soon as you enter you're nicely greeted and asked if you're there for the buffet. Since almost everyone there goes for that, then you say what drink you want and are provided a fork and a napkin. No knife though which I found odd, but no biggie.I browsed the selections, and since I'm not a big fan of fried buffet items, I proceeded to go for the shrimp etoufee first with white rice. It was a bit watery but still good with a nice spicy kick and a good amount of shrimp. As a matter of fact I had 2 bowls. After that, I went for some sushi that had crabmeat, avocado, and shrimp spring rolls. Very good, although the selection could be broader, but I was extremely glad there was that yummy peanut sauce. Next, I gave in and had fried rice, noodles, pepper steak, and General Tso chicken. It was also fresh and definitely not old food (as in some buffets I've been to that are terrible). By the way, there are egg rolls, miso soup, Mongolian beef, egg drop soup, orange chicken, egg foo young, fried dumplings, etc., that all looked good to be honest, but I didn't try because I'm not too much into fried stuff. Finally, I had a couple of those little mini chocolate and vanilla cakes (nothing spectacular), coconut macaroons (this is good), and swirled ice cream. The grand total in cash including soda is $16.25 and plus a tip comes out to a cool $20. Will DEFINITELY be back, and is very worth it. Cleanliness is top notch, and they're friendly."

Kait M. "I was impressed with the food here. There are multiple options for Chinese chicken. My favorites were chicken on a stick, beef and broccoli, general Tso chicken, egg rolls, & potatoes. They also have sushi and hibachi options. Service was good. They have a separate room for large tables. Lots of seating room overall. Would come here again. On a weekend it was ~$20 per person including soft drinks."

Juli F. "This is my favorite chinese food in the country! Having been USMC for twenty years, traveling from one Coast to another for and then serving additional ten in Civil Service, I have tasted many variations of Kung Pao Chicken (SPICY, with peanuts of COURSE). Chinese Golden Dragon Buffet L14. Kung Pao Chicken When I tell you that this is the absolutely very, Very best KUNG PAO CHICKEN I have ever eaten, made, or ever TASTED. I am very particular about about how I like my sauce. Usually it is made too sweet (UGH!), too salty (bitter - even worse), or most often, just LACKING. Lacking the right ingredients. Lacking the know-how, or it feels like the chef is experimenting on your taste buds. BUT, this ONE place does it right!!!New Orleans may be home to the best Southern cooking in the world, but the Chinese Golden Dragon Buffet @ 100 S Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433, is THE #1 SPOT to go for the best KUNG PAO CHICKEN, (I like mine with peanuts.)"
